>Cannot be reasoned with in any capacity as opposed to most criminals that usually just want to steal your shit and will back off if they decide they can victimize someone else easier
What calibers and firearms do you carry to protect against the pitter scurge?

Shot placement?

Keep in mind you may be in situations where you have to stop a loose shit bull from tearing some bystanders face off and over penetration is an actual concern when it's lockjawed onto that poor soul.

im pretty sure ive seen more than one report from ukrainan front line soldiers that some kind of full-face protection is absolutely necessary and vital piece of kit now, and its one of the main "take-aways" as far as infantry/frontline kit goes. i wish i knew where I saw it, but it was something to the effect that full face/head protection is something people think is for-real actually needed

To be fair on Vigil it's not that he was literally hours away from powering off, it's that he finally accomplished his final task.
I suspect he was sitting in an extremely low power state until Shep showed up and probably could've sustained it longer, but then used every drop of juice left to communicate the message.
>>64756442
There's some echoes of similar themes in the final game too. The Reapers say they're harvesting to preserve a trace of the uniqueness of species each cycle, and the purpose isn't just to control organics as they could but to allow different ones to spring up over time. Jarvis talks about how the Prothean empire being so dominant also undercut them, because everyone had roughly the same culture, equipment, technology and doctrine. You cut them all off from each other by turning off the relays, figure out how to deal with one pocket of them, then you've basically figured out how to deal with all of them. I suspect the original idea was that the Reapers were trying to see if new civilisations figured out a way around it, harvest any science they did that might've pointed to something or make their own collective's thinking more diverse through adsorbing them as new reapers.
Biggest problem I can see versus the final story is that there's really two conflicts now, the Reapers themselves and the dark energy entropy death of the universe and there's not really a neat way to combine them. Just showing the Reapers that you built the first ever solar powered mass relay and them turning off after or something wouldn't be satisfying. Maybe reworking the Crucible into 'the power to stop the Reapers', but you still need to sell why everyone's building this thing without knowing what it even does.
Only thing I could think is making it about finishing an ancient prototype that takes combining a bunch of cutting edge innovations from around the galaxy, everyone thinks it's a fleet-killer energy weapon instead of a tech demo.

Anyone here actually use D-Lead products, or any leadremovers in general?
I am currently looking at wipes, hand soap, body wash & shampoo, laundry detergent, and a lot more but theres too many to name...How many should I buy, and should I just buy all of them to be safe?
I shoot a fair amount and I’m going to be shooting way more this year than I ever have, and I'm starting to wonder how paranoid I should be about lead exposure...Because I’ve heard horror stories about young dudes who shot their whole lives, never wore gloves, never washed right, ate at the range, reloaded bare-handed and endedup with fcknCANCER or straight up DEAD a few decades later from lead poisoning.

>Is this a legit concern, or am I turning into a schizo?

Lead doesn't cross the skin barrier unless it's part of a more complex compound. It's just not soluble enough in skin oil.
>>

Have you SEEN the cost of healthcare these days?
>>
>>64754353
>bait post
yeah

Anyways, taking this in a more productive direction, one of the reasons I bothered to finally get a range membership was the local range keeping d-lead soap on hand right outside the range for people to wash their hands with before heading out. It was the first time I'd ever seen a range do that. Seems like a good and easy solution to reduce exposure and contamination since you arent rubbing your lead hands all over your steering wheel and shit before having to go home just to clean off. I know I'm guilty of the occasional food trip before thoroughly cleaning my hands off just because it'd be extra trips and I was hungry then. If your range doesn't do similar consider talking to the employees and seeing if they can maybe get management to do similar. No point in living your life in fear, but little things like this take very minimal effort/cost for a reduction in risk.
>>
>>64754353
I can't imagine living in fear like that.
Wash your hands after shooting and call it a day
>>
>>64755691
Don't overthink it. You don't need to do this. Wash your hands after you're done shooting (or don't, I normally don't bother until I get home and then only if I remember to do so) and stay out of indoor ranges if you can. I've been shooting and casting bullets, at times professionally, since 1996. I've been tested annually for lead by my employer for every year of that except for 2005-2008. The one year that I had an elevated level was 2004, and I was working in a WWII-era tiny indoor range at the time. It cleared up at the same time that I got transferred to a newer range. The inhalation was what got me, and that was because I was spending 50 hours a week there.

If I had children in the house I would be a little more careful, but then again my house was built in 1931 and all of the paint on the walls under the last two or three layers is lead based, so I would be managing my expectations there too. The newer layers of non-lead latex like to flake off in high humidity, especially in the bathrooms. I don't freak out when this happens. I just refrain from eating paint chips. My lead levels were, are, and probably will continue to be just fine.
>and we don't need to talk about the literal tons of lead that were dumped into and onto everything over the last century of burning leaded gasoline
There are a few things in the world to be legitimately anxious about. This isn't one of them. Just don't be a fucking retard and you'll be fine.

You're tasked with building a kit to help Iranian resistance against the Ayatollah regime, the kits you build will be airdropped into Iranian territory in large dufflebags and then picked up by chosen operatives.

You have $3k per kit to try to arm an light resistance guerrilla fighter, you can only source items from the US civilian market. At minimum you should provide a rifle, a pistol, body armor, essential accessories and ammunition for both, as well as any survival or tactical implement you see necessary.

What kind of stuff do you pick?

as an expert, having never owned or fired it, my belief is that it isn't bad but is mostly pointless for civilians due to rof and projectile limitations, and that in 2026 it is viable in the same way that .30 super carry is viable
