my mom made me really really happy for the first time in a while. my dad is really transphobic and has shut down the idea of me transitioning except for hormones b/c he can't do much about them, but my mom has been nicer to me about everything (not perfect but leagues better than my dad). my mom knows my real name but I don't think my dad does.i was wrapping presents for my family and went to go get more wrapping paper, and out of curiosity i looked for my present sitting with the wrapping paper (i didn't look inside it). it had just a one letter for the name. my mom wraps all the presents from my parents and my deadname & real name have the same starting initial.. so.. she meant my real name with it :)it's such a small gesture but it means the world to me when my dad and sister are not supportive at all. they probably won't know either which makes me happy. i dont want to start a fight with family. i genuinely sat there crying for a second, i was so happy.
