Recovery from surgery? Weeks to months before functional again, upwards of a year to fully heal everything.Patience. Best thing is to let the hormones work their magic while you focus on other things in the meantime, like the social aspects, savings, and other general real life stuff. One of the hardest unsung things about this is accepting that you're just gonna have to wait a lot of the time, at least for me since I hate not being able to keep going/keep pushing for something for reasons outside of my control.
