Why don't more authors use incest as a plot device?

Incest is an Aryan-Romantic duty to preserve the purity of the bloodline, though. The worship of the Self involves marrying your cousin, also a part of you.

>On the other hand, those who founded sects committed to erroneous doctrines proceeded in a way that is opposite to this, The point is clear in the case of Muhammad. He seduced the people by promises of carnal pleasure to which the concupiscence of the flesh goads us. His teaching also contained precepts that were in conformity with his promises, and he gave free rein to carnal pleasure. In all this, as is not unexpected, he was obeyed by carnal men. As for proofs of the truth of his doctrine, he brought forward only such as could be grasped by the natural ability of anyone with a very modest wisdom. Indeed, the truths that he taught he mingled with many fables and with doctrines of the greatest falsity. He did not bring forth any signs produced in a supernatural way, which alone fittingly gives witness to divine inspiration; for a visible action that can be only divine reveals an invisibly inspired teacher of truth. On the contrary, Muhammad said that he was sent in the power of his arms—which are signs not lacking even to robbers and tyrants. What is more, no wise men, men trained in things divine and human, believed in him from the beginning, Those who believed in him were brutal men and desert wanderers, utterly ignorant of all divine teaching, through whose numbers Muhammad forced others to become his followers by the violence of his arms. Nor do divine pronouncements on the part of preceding prophets offer him any witness. On the contrary, he perverts almost all the testimonies of the Old and New Testaments by making them into fabrications of his own, as can be seen by anyone who examines his law. It was, therefore, a shrewd decision on his part to forbid his followers to read the Old and New Testaments, lest these books convict him of falsity. It is thus clear that those who place any faith in his words believe foolishly.

Okay, this is going to sound kinda schizo, but some of you guys are pretty smart, so maybe you could provide me with some relevant literature or resources to study this/these topic(s), but first, you have to understand the background of why I'm asking for resources on these topics.

I'm looking for resources on understanding the phenomenon of genuine extrasensory abilities, like reading thoughts or feelings. Essentially mind-reading, like that Shining ability in Stephen King's The Shining, I guess would be a good example.

Awhile ago, I used to have a friend, let's call him Jim. Jim has done a lot of mushrooms and acid in his life, and even DMT. The reason I say that is because I don't know if that is relevant or not to what I'm about to discuss, maybe you guys might think it's relevant, I don't know, I don't do drugs so I don't know, and to me, there seems to be a lot of mysticism surrounding psychedelic drugs, people seem to have spiritual or metaphysical related experiences with those things.
I had been in my room alone, researching the topic of "eye floaters". A fairly specific thing to be researching, in my opinion. How often do you hear someone talking about eye floaters? Anyways, I practice information security, I use a VPN, always keep my door locked, never let anyone use my devices, etc. Later that day, I go to Jim's apartment. Jim immediately starts talking to me about the topic of eye floaters and how LSD can cure them. I had never talked about eye floaters with anyone before, ever. I was utterly dumbfounded in that moment. What was I supposed to say, "How the hell did you know i was researching that topic earlier? Why did you bring that up just now?" Regrettably, I just didn't say anything.
Another time, I'm alone at home and I'm talking about the Dilbert comics with my brother. Again, another fairly specific topic. No one I know of really ever talks about those comics, let alone even reads a newspaper or even knows they exist. I've literally never talked to anyone about Dilbert comics before in my entire life. My brother doesn't know who my friend is, doesn't in any way contact him, and the same goes for the rest of my family, know one in my family has ever met Jim before or talked to him. Later that day, I go to Jim's apartment. Guess what he starts talking to me about? The fucking Dilbert comics. Again, I was dumbfounded and I get even a bit defensive and quickly change the subject, writing it off as another very strange coincidence.

Reflecting back on these events, it's led me to believe that they're too strange to be merely coincidences. I think Jim has an extrasensory ability, like the shining. Either that, or my reality is a construct of my unconscious psyche and it's playing tricks on me. Or, God is using Jim as a vessel to make His presence known to me. Those are the 3 options that I believe might be the case, and I'm really not sure what to believe.

What do you guys think?

I have had similar experiences to yours, these "meaningful coincidences". While it's interesting to wonder if they are signs of something deep and mystical, like rips in the seams of reality, it may just as easily be chalked up to the human mind's tendency to narrativise and reduce the world around him into some sort of divine plan.

>What I always wonder with these "how did they know that..." questions, is why they never ask the person why or what reason they brought up a particular concept they presumably had no reason to.
I didn't think much of it until years later, as strange as that sounds. In the moment, I thought it was just a coincidence. Upon reflection, I remembered this event and the more I thought about it, the more improbable it seemed to me. That's the honest truth of it.
Strangely enough, I had another friend who was also into psychedelics, and a similar very improbable event like that had happened that I also thought it was just a coincidence in the moment. I had been researching a very specific product to purchase and it was imperative to me that no one know what it is I was going to purchase. The next day at work, my friend tells me that he is thinking of purchasing this same product. The product was a hidden voice recorder, which is something completely unrelated to our jobs.
What I'm starting to think is, that maybe people who do a lot of psychedelics gain some kind of Professor X kinda mind reading powers, that's my working theory so far anyways

Necroscope 2 was better paced than the first book, but the constant backstory exposition got monotonous, also didn't care for the Cold War espionage stuff. The parts with Thibor and Faethor were great though, anything to do with the vampires was kino, really.

books are cheap, they look great on your shelf, and it's much more immersive to hold a book in your hand than some faggy kindle. I 100% undestand torrenting games, as in our times even if you buy the game on steam then you don't really actually own it. And also games are pretty expensive.
>>

>>
>>24738982
None of what you said makes any sense. Piracy isn't supposed to be a way to "make money" and if it ever was it was just people in markets selling burned DVDs or camrecorded movies from the Cinema. That hasn't been the case for a long while now, and piracy is for people who want things for free. How on earth were you making money from it? Do you live in the third world?

Is Freemasonry a path to enlightenment?
I've always thought it was a satanic cult, but that's what everyone thinks. I'd be willing to give it a shot, it wouldn't be the first time I realized that everyone is wrong about something
Is it really all allegories and teachings of Luciferianism?
I haven't read any literature on Freemasonry, except Secret Teachings Of All Ages by Manly Hall, but desu i didnt really understand much of what i read in that book
is there like a chart or something for getting into freemasonry literature? i'm not sure i was meant to start off with Secret Teachings by Manly Hall, it just didn't seem very entry level

Refreshment’s use

Cannot cease eating these chewy mints
Blue round smooth tiny minty mints
Blue like an ocean whose color is sucked out
Milky blue. Yes, milky blue
Waves of them waiting in the bottle.
On their mark and leap onto my tongue
And turn my thoughts minty,
By which I mean solid and icy
Feeling the thoughts being shaped on this blue fuel
I can almost caress it.
I will miss these when I finally submit to
Gobbling them by the handful
As if two at a time and three at a time is not exhausting

The fucked up thing is they dont even allow for cool scary twists.
Theres been a few stories that plot twist around the whole mc cant die issue by revealing someone else transcribed their last moments or w/e.
The issue is that the rules dont state that THE NARRATOR cant die, its the MC.
So whoever the story centers around can never ever never die. In shortform horror.
>>
Trying to write horror short stories for a little collection, turning out to be much harder than I anticipated! Also, I thought I'd include some short, eerie poems, but that's also very difficult. Does anyone have any good advice for horror? Something I'm interested in is trying to do without death or blood, but still making unnerving stories regardless. I think that overusing gore is kind of cheap, and it's a fun challenge to not have blood turn up in any way.
