Well, I followed Andy's advice and bought some nice brushes for inking. Unfortunately I think I may have permanently damaged one of the brushes already. It immediately lost the tip because I loaded up the ink incorrectly. Then I just carried on inking blisfully unaware (or rather very peeved because I couldn't control the tip and get any consitent lines).One of my expensive new brushes got fucked, but at least I learned a few things so I won't fuck them up in the future. So, whatever. The total happiness in the world increased.The next ones will be better.
