A place for biological women to talk about their lives.

It has been aggressively raided for years and is dead.

r9k is not a male board. https://wizchan.org/ is.

Please don't, but if you are going to anyway, be polite and indicate your gender.
>I'm a tranny, can I post here?
Only on the day of halloween, because you are a nauseating monster, which is in season for 24 hours a year.

Best halloween memory was at some kids party they gave me a prize for dancing (?)
Now they just give a tiny bit of candy/food to the kids, pretty sad. People were more generous back then

>what's your best halloween memory?
I used to work in this haunted house when I was younger on Halloween. It was fun. \(^o^)/
>what's your favorite halloween movie or show or episode?
The nightmare before Christmas. And I also watch slasher films on Halloween.
>are you dressing up this year?
No sadly I'm not. Probably just gonna watch movies. :c
>do you have any fun traditions?
Not reallyy. Just really watch movies on Halloween. Sometimes I'll bake stuff. TwT

Probably seeing my bf in the Judge Dredd uniform (based on the more recent Karl Urban movie) that our friend made for him.
>>what's your favorite halloween movie or show or episode?
Sleepy Hollow.
>>are you dressing up this year? what as? be wary of moid audience
As I mentioned in the last thread: I've always admired girls who can pull off tough and edge; I can't because I look like a trick-or-treater. So, this year I'm just going with that; gonna let me goth friend doll me up however she wants.
>>do you have any fun traditions?
Not in particular.

>>79300380
>The nightmare before Christmas.
That's a good one, too.
>>
>what's your best halloween memory?
Being a young teenager, and managing to have a friend to trick or treat with one year. On our route, I showed her the church bell that I know is NEVER locked up, where you pull the rope and the noise can be heard for blocks. I encouraged her to give the bell a good few rings, and we ran away giggling and laughing. It was fun.
>what's your favorite halloween show?
Over the Garden Wall!
>are you dressing up this year?
I might wear my pokemon pajamas at home, to get in the spirit

I forgot about that trick, I kept drinking water slowly yesterday to aid it, but forgot about the plugging your nose part. Thanks anon

Working out really helps with hangovers! I've hurled once or twice, but that alone doesn't stop me. Sorry about your cold. I want to hike more often, but the trail I enjoy is a 30 min drive out. I might post pictures from the hike next time ! (selectively)
>>79297554
hihi florida :)
>>79298464
Pedialyte DOES help, I didn't have any on hand, but the hangover was weak and I hydrated enough to get over it quick. I've had one or two hangovers where I had to visit the hospital, due to the poor decision of drinking on an empty stomach. I also heard recently that autistic people have more gastrointestinal problems? I don't know if there's any legitimate basis for that, but I'm diagnosed autism, and I've had stomach issues my whole darn life
I didn't know biking and hiking were closely correlated. Have you thought about combining the two hobbies to do epic mountain biking?

i don't know. it's hard to see myself as a kid or like in a kid-space. i used to be so tiny and skinny when i was younger i feel like a different species at this point. maybe it would help doing it anyway to see that people wouldn't WTF over it and i maybe look like a normal young person but if that ISN'T the reaction and i get WTFs from people it'll crush me

>what's your best halloween memory?
Getting so much candy in one time I had to dump it out in the car Then my mother noticed a litter of relatively young kittens in the bush nearby and we brought them home and fostered them since we already had cats of our own. I named them after candy since they slept in the jack-o-lantern bucket on the way home. Hershey, Skittles and Snickers.
>what's your favorite halloween movie or show or episode?
Sitting down to watch The Nightmare Before Christmas whie eating candy to bid farewell to the spooky season and welcome the holiday season.
>are you dressing up this year? what as?
Mercy from Overwatch 1. I've just about finished with adjustments, repairs, reinforcements and touch ups. Got my hair cut today so I can fit the wig. Only thing left to is wait for amazon to deliver my glossy paint sealer so I can add a shine to the "feathers", halo and anything else gold trimmed.
>do you have any fun traditions?
Making sure to watch and dance to Thriller on the night of. I watched the WNUF Halloween Special last year, and I might make that a tradition this year.

It was a lot shittier for students fair enough, you can almost see the years of social development skipped.

I don't think you need a degree to get into some office jobs, if you luck out you can get stuff like receptionist or a junior operations role or something like that. Not hearing great things from other nonas in your country looking for jobs though so can only wish the best.

>>what's your best halloween memory?
Being young and trick or treating with my cousins in this neighborhood that had a lot of tall pine trees and just forest in general. Gave it a very spooky vibe and got tons of candy.

>>what's your favorite halloween movie or show or episode?
Idk, maybe the Charlie Brown one? I've gotten a little sick of Nightmare Before Christmas.

>>are you dressing up this year? what as?
I just have a snuggie and a witch hat, dressing up for literally no one but myself.

>>do you have any fun traditions?
I want to make a tradition to watch a halloween-y or scary movie each year. Historically I guess decorating pumpkins.

hell yeah nice dance moves. My nanna used to painstakingly make goodie bags for trick or treaters, I helped her make well over a hundred back in the day. Now she doesn't even have trick or treaters.

Yeahh it is. I like watching it as a Christmas movie as well. :p
>>79304265
>Wow you worked a haunted house? what was that like? How do you even get into that?
Well it was like a local thing in our neighborhood and I knew the person who made it, so I was allowed to work in it. Anyone who was in the neighborhood of even just heard of it was allowed to go into the haunted house and into the party area for snacks and candy. And it was fun, I got to see so many different people and Halloween is always my favorite time of the year because of all the costumes. It was fun seeing all the other people who were also involved in it. =^ - ^=

So my awful week so far
>dog I was very close to wakes up dead
>not that old, no signs of illness, very sudden
>vet office tech is very oddly upbeat talking to me, talking to me in a sing-song voice and making small talk with me about my day while I'm crying
>They want me to bring this large dead dog in the lobby with people and pets, I refuse because it would be jarring to the pet owners in the room
>They send out a couple of kennel workers to bring the dog back
>They don't speak english but I pick up that they called the dog putrid, and to hurry up and get this over with
>they start pulling the dog away while I'm saying goodby
>didn't support it on the gurney so they drop the fucking thing
>help them pick up the dog and help walk the dog back because they are just that incompetent
>meanwhile there's 2 workers just standing around the entire time

Next day
>neighbor's dog get attacked by a loose dog on walk
>they pepper spray the dog, ask if I could take a look at their dog
>get over there, choking on the pepper spray
>several small punctures on the dog, but nothing serious
>the dog manages to touch my leg and my arm grazes the dog while I'm cleaning the wounds - the dog is COVERED in pepper spray
>intenseburn.jpeg
>Apparently the sheriff picks up the loose dog and just says he'll 'take care of it'
>i freak that he's gonna kill the dog because that dog needs to be on a rabies watch
>Sheriff's office argued with me that they didn't pick up a dog but I get through to the officer eventually
>officer says he RELEASED the dog in another neighborhood
>never mind the fact that the dog had a new, nice collar on and was likely owned, and is now a danger to the public and possibly rabid
>go looking for it to no avail
There was so much other bullshit here, like how the officer noted he doesn't even keep pepper spray on him because it is a 'bother' to deal with and he just shoots instead lol
But that's not all, folks!

Comrades! Be nice to self-hating pooners who suffer from internalized misogyny. Right now, a fellow autist is being groomed, and desperate for acceptance after a lifetime of rejection, will fall deeper and deeper down the abyss of manipulative and delusional communities. A teen girl who is confused about her identity will stumble upon malicious advice online. She will find redpill, trad, misogynist and trans communities everywhere.

She obsesses over stories about Yaoi and muscle hunks and self-Inserts to the point she can't differentiate between her autistic obsession and dysphoria. She suffers from trauma, sexism, jealousy, and starts believing the solution to those issues is to destroy her body and herself.

If they were bullied or suffered at the hands of other women, show them female kindness. If they suffer from a lack of female role models, show them that women have achieved great things over men, for example, the country of Japan was founded by one. Teach them that women have many things to be proud of, that you can have a non-stereotypical personality and non-stereotypical interests, and that it doesn't make them less of a woman, or defective in any way, that a woman can be anything and do anything she wants without becoming a moid. If you won't, a groomer will take your place! Their time is running out, so fight for those that can still be saved! Fight for their survival, comrades!

Very fucking fitting. Here's the finale;
>today
>family member calls late out of the blue
>used to be kinda close to them but they moved out of state and we haven't kept in touch as much since
IDK how else to say this so I'm going to just say it.
>they tell me they trooned out
>not a phase because they've been on HRT for multiple years now
>secret to their family and most of their friends
>recently filed for a divorce, I assumed cheating was involved but it turns out it was because they came out to their partner
>They were gloating to me about how much their body changed since I last saw them, and I am horrified by what I heard
>threaten to disown me/other family if we don't abide by their new name, pronouns, language etc
>they have a whole new set of trans friends that are 'like family'
>out of the blue ask me if I'm still having kids, and if so if they will be able to see them
I said yes at the time just to not escalate. Why would someone who had no interest in kids their entire lives troon out and then ask to be a big part of my kid's lives? that's a rhetorical question

So there we have it. Not sure if it makes me feel better having it out. It's basically the death of a once close family member, and them being replaced by this asshole I don't know. And now I'm all paranoid about how this could have happened. Idk. Everything sucks. Everybody sucks.

More than likely they were always that asshole and they just never showed it or you never saw it. Time distance and age allows you to see them more clearly now for what they may have been forever, but they never showed you. This happened with a childhood friend of mine. I guess her CSA got to her and after her lesbian phase didn't make her happy she decided to troon out. It drove her heavily religious mother nearly insane, she started wrecking up her living space and drawing some really morbid shit since she was a painter. The girl is actually mental. It took a bit for people around to realize that she needed to be institutionalized and writted off as a lost cause. A real shame too because I had a crush on her my whole life but she was out of reach.

Someone you respect made fun of your favorite game and you feel like you're the one being made fun of? It's okay, you didn't do anything wrong. It's just a game, you had fun with it, it was never meant to do anything other than give you some fun. She was only poking a little light fun at it too, this wasn't heavy criticism. But even if it was, heavy criticism of things you like isn't heavy criticism of you. She knows that you are separate from what you like, and no criticism of you was intended from her. You know deep down that she's not the type of person to criticize you for that. If she was that type of person then she wouldn't be worthy of your respect.

The only takeaway from this should be that it's cute how you respect and how you value the judgments from a cool person like her. Cute.

Sorry if that set something off. I had no intention to offend. I just dislike a lot of women's office wear. Even when I have to go into the office to be all formal for something big I put on a pants suit because I hate skirts and heels so much. No reason why you can't rock a nice looking fit like Miss Pauling if you wanted to. It's just that I wouldn't. >>79308728 Don't worry. I speak fluent Not-had-my-damn-coffee-yet.

Tifosi is cool, but there can only be one Tifosi and there can only be one you. Having your own style is cooler than trying to be a copy of someone else. Even if you still haven't figured out what your style is yet, even if you're still discovering what feels right to you and what doesn't, that's still cooler than living in someone else's shadow. Maybe tonight your nightmare can be that you're ready to show off your really cool pencil skirt, but then you look all over your room and can't find it? I'd prefer it if you don't have nightmares at all, but if you're going to have some anyway then you might as well have your own style.

>Was that a county animal hospital or a local?
I'm not really sure I understand what a county animal hospital was. That may not be a thing here. Around here vet clinics are private or corporate (chain), and you have general practice (sees cats/dogs), Emergency, specialty (like cancer, allergies, etc), large animal, exotic, and mixed (GP that also sees large animals/exotics)
Private practice, I used to actually work there. The docs are great, but the help is like high school girls and recovering addicts. They couldn't even weigh my dog right, added 50# to their weight before a surgery and almost killed him
>Wouldn't the dog have a license or tag on the collar?
So I'll give this one a pass, sometimes tags get lost and a lot of people I've found will just procrastinate putting tags on the collar or even just not have it on the collar etc. This collar was one of those really reflective ones, it could have even be a 'night time' collar that they swap out, and didn't bother moving the tags. But where I am it is very common for owned dogs to not even have a collar, let alone tags
>that incompetent they didn't even check for a chip?
Yuuuup, that really bugs me because what's the fucking point of the chip? I'm not surprised though, the general population here is really dumb. That's what happens when you decide to move super rural.
>More than likely they were always that asshole
I can't get it past my head that they were always aware of other's emotions and tried to not step on toes, and now it's like they are hungry for drama. I'm just kinda treating it as like a death, or a permanent possession.
It just sucks because I just got through another very young family member going through that phase, and I'd like to think that with accepting their bs and ramping up time spent with her, she got out of it. And all while this is happening, someone I was close to was succumbing to it.

>tf2 better
Fuck yeah tf2 bro. The bots are absolutely killing it though. Last time I logged on like months ago, bots would outnumber the players and then you couldn't even vote kick.
Overwatch has it's moments though. I loved curb stomping with a team full of gorilla apes leaping everywhere. I think they got rid of duplicate heroes in a team though. Haven't touched OW in ages, I imagine it's dead now that OW2 is out.
> sheriffs is insane
I have actually had much worse encounters with the local gov. Without doxxing myself too much, I had the fucking mayor on a witch hunt against me before.
>sorry your dog died
Thanks, I have to count my blessings because his death is literally what most people pray for. Silently in their sleep before they deteriorate too much. There's so many worse ways to die. He was such a sweet dog, he really only deserved the best.
>unless it causes other problems?
There are people in my family that would be absolutely devastated, namely their parents who are so sweet and getting older. They are really old fashioned, they are getting forgetful, still call Asians 'Orientals' so I doubt they will be able to understand what is going on with their kid. I would just hate the twilight of their life to be filled with the loss of a child
I'm not even sure what I'm gonna do about the kid situation. Ironically this person coming out might actually delay it, anyways.
>>79305868
it is still fun despite being hat fortress. But the bots are a serious issue. Right now they have a Halloween thing going on and there's usually a ton of real players around this time
>>79306895
oof that is really rough! I feel like the very strict religious shit tends to create very rebellious anti-religious people. The thing that spooks me was this person had like the ideal childhood - loving parents, good school, nice community, some moderate problems here and there that pass. And it still happens. Makes me wonder if my kid will troon out despite my best efforts.
>>
>>79309587

>>
>>79309736
When people don't have problems they just make up some. Must be an attempt to fit in in a world that tells him that's ok and even if that nonsense about life getting easier is bs and everyone knows it, at least can get some cheap sense of belonging.

Not belonging hits hard even if you're no longer a dramatic angsty teen, life just gets duller and duller.
>>

>I feel like the very strict religious shit tends to create very rebellious anti-religious people.
I thought that at first as well but she was just your run of the mill shitlib artist lesbian for the most part. Then one day she changed and never really went back. I'm still thinking it was due to her butch gf abusing her and trying to mold her into something she wanted her to be and then she got a reality check when the world really doesn't support that kind of degeneracy.
>Makes me wonder if my kid will troon out despite my best efforts.
Be very wary of public schools and make sure to have a good father figure around. The father figure is hugely important. I'm never having kids but I worry about that sort of thing as well.

Where I live there are all kind of private practices, but we have municipal and county hospitals that kind of act like shelters if need be. Whenever you hear an animal hospital horror story around here is usually starts with them going to the Muni.\
> I'm just kinda treating it as like a death, or a permanent possession.
Like I said, you'll probably hear a lot of talk soon enough that will shed some light on how they ended up that way. There are always clues.

When I started playing TF2 was being called hat Fortress derisively, and it had a reputation for many of its players being sweats. So I just steered clear of it now that there was a nice new shiny hero shooter that my friends were playing as well. I tend to main healers and Mercy was right up my alley. I made the costume with help from friend at a time when the game was unbelievably popular for numerous reasons (cough).

I hope you forced your boss to give you a pay increase.
You got them by their nuts.
>>
>>79316298
My boss doesn't give pay increases. Corporate did give me one due to this new thing that they wanted to do to get into the 21st century of allowing CNAs to give out meds as needed. All in response many nurses leaving in just about every unit, not just ours. I have to get this certification to be able to certify the two CNAs on night shift (along with others on night shift on other units) to disperse meds, along with any other CNA that gets hired. This way, they don't need to hire as many LPNs as the CNAs will be under my RN license. There's a lot of limitations though hence why there always needs to be at least one nurse on duty, whether RN or LPN, no matter if it's stepdown or forensic. Just at least one so if something happens at say forensic, I'll have rush over there. I don't see many staff taking advantage of it. But anyway, it's why there's a pay increase.

Also, we got some other per diem staff coming in to fill gaps until things are settled out, since it's literally why they were hired. I still have to do the practical part of it all which will be next week.

I was on a half-landing, so they'd come out onto the stairs and start walking up or down and just freeze mid-step lol. Or they'd stop a few floors away and go quiet as mice when they heard the flute playing. Only a few were brave enough, but one girl showed up all her friends by coming closer, so I stopped playing and have her the candy. The whole getup was creepy as shit because I cut out a square of black fabric and white plastic bag and put them over the eyeholes on the inside, black to black, white to white (big round white circle over one eye), so I could see fine, but they couldn't even tell I was human

Short hand is not really that hard to learn. The CNAs (Certified Nursing Assistants) already learn them through their certification process which is really just six weeks of course work, plus about 60hrs shadowing. Infact, a lot of this stuff they need to get to be certified to give out medications is stuff they should already know. As I'm going through the material, this is all CNA stuff so this is really just going to be a review for them. Short hand like:

>bid
Twice a day
>PRN
As needed
>npo
Nothing by mouth
>SpO2
Pulse Ox.

Btw: LPN is Licensed Practical Nurse and RN is Registered Nurse.

Recommend? Unless you have a true passion for helping people and are willing to deal with all that stress. I had that passion, but I'm so burnt out. Most get into it for the money, but end up leaving due to injury, realizing how stressful it truly is, or severe burnout (fun fact: doctors are experiencing all of this as well). It is really good money. I make $52k/year, but will be making $104k this year due to all the overtime I did for the longest time. But the stress and chronic injuries for it is just a part of the job. Even on midnight shift I'm on in a group home, there's quite a bit of stress that can go on, and I got injured multiple times this year alone including a dementia patient attacking me and breaking off a tooth, having to lift a 300lb patient which reinjured my back which as bad enough as it is because I have some osteoarthritis in it, it's adding to my RA (official diagnosis for any nona that was wondering about it since I mentioned it a long time ago), etc.

Lolcow could be such a good website if the mods weren't so uptight. All they need to do is ban men. That's it.
But you can't even get into arguments with other anons without getting the banhammer. And forget trying to have serious discussions about race or other controversial subjects that don't revolve around gender. Plus, they make sure to publicly show the reason you're banned on your post like some kind of humiliation ritual. It fucking sucks.
All I want is a true 4chan style site for women.
That's all.

This is true and valid. It comes from a position of delusional short term gratification where woman is waiting for the perfect man who is actually a combination of the hundreds of guys she's been with and she just needs more attention because she's used to get more from someone else who isn't around anymore and never got any from her father.

Party was great. There were way more people than I anticipated. I met a REALLY cute moid and we chatted for a very long time. He came in scrubs and it turned out he was actually wearing his work uniform and not in costume. He had to leave because his ride had to go, so we exchanged numbers and agreed to meet for coffee.

I sat down at a table where they were playing Texas Hold'em for candy. I won a few good hands and walked away with a decent bag. Then I made my biggest mistake of the night and got involved in a billiards drinking game. Here I'm thinking "I suck at this, so no way I'll come to regret it" only to become a pool savant out of nowhere and have to down 5 shots of vodka consecutively. I had to head home after that.

Mistakes were made. I wanted to sleep longer this morning but my cats pestered me until I got up and fed them. Still waiting for the guy to text me with a time to meet.

He was accepted early on because a lot of the nonas were happy to have someone agreeable and good at chatting around.

Then the campaign to drum him out started. Having a past of using his trip to horny post also came back to bite him and then the schizoposting started and now anyone who had had a positive interaction with him was suspect.

It was so much worse then than now. It was pretty bad with the Bullyzone threads, but when it went to biofem it seemed like there was a massive effort to push him off and then throw up chaff to make it seem like opinion of him was more negative and widespread than it was.

Then the accusations of me, Florida and anyone who seemed to like him started. We were accused of being him samefagging while also being troons while also being a discord raid and anything else their paranoid minds could concoct.

I know 100% for sure there was a group attempting to dox Bully and force him out. By the time I was made aware of it we had stopped talking by then.

That was some of the dumbest shit ever. The idea that us defending him or saying that what his method of "not being a fucking sperg" worked to get him female engagement was so outrageous to them it had to all be some elaborate ruse or something else equally as ridiculous.

Because no woman would ever talk with someone who is a good conversationalist. It had to be because he's a ligma male dark triad abuse chad or something, or just that his being over 6' shorted out our brains and made us lust after him.

I'm not sure if it's still the case, but when I worked there we used a pumpkin puree that was mostly sugar and gave it a copious amount of cinnamon. They've probably gone for a cheaper and less appealing alternative since then, but because it's a seasonal drink there isn't a means to compare it year to year.

Look for a non-chain coffee shop near you. They're more likely to do a better job of it. .

It went. I only got several children (which is normal), so for their longer trek, they got a lot of candy from me, even the teenager.

>>79321073
You get used to it. Depending on the job, it's easier than everyone thinks. This isn't the psych hospital so everything is so much easier. About the worse is having to draw labs weekly on the patients that take clozapine which is toxic to the liver, so it's never first choice and usually really far down the line in giving to schizophrenic patients. Have I mentioned the moid brothers I work with that do absolutely nothing? They did no filing this past weekend so it took me close to an hour to do all that filing last night.

>>79322951
When you do that normally, you tend to build quite a bit of strength. One ex co-worker used to work at Walmart night shift. He said working at the group home was the worst thing he ever done since he gained a lot of weight from not doing all that walking and lifting heavy merch onto the shelves.

Because unless you're an infuencer with that style or someone in costume, it's usually understood that you need to start toning down your wardrobe as you age up because society itself has more toned down colors. That doesn't mean you can't find a way to express yourself. I have lots of earthy greens and wood browns in my wardrobe. I wouldn't call a lot of what I have bland unless you're coming from the perspective of "i want to look like an idol".

Because my happiness was never tied to my wardrobe or my ability to express myself with loud and bright colors or my ability to cling to a vestige of childhood, If you're tying your happiness to what you can wear, then your probably a miserable person who needs to seek more meaning in their life that isn't tied to a material thing. Often people who inevitably have to tone down their desire for color find other ways to express themselves.

I do agree that the world does need a lot more color though. When I go to Austin I always enjoy seeing all of the bright and colorful murals all around the city.

Dommy is something way different than what I am IRL. IRL, people tell me condtantly that I'm too nice, sometimes too nice. But, it's that is why I'm being considered for that Assistant Manager position here if it gets approved by corporate.

Try finding time to use the bathroom. The meme on that is real and is the norm working day and evening in hospitals. I'm glad I never went in that direction. If I did, I'd do what I do now: midnight shift. I hated that clinical rotation and was ever glad to finally finish it.

Naahhh not really. Well I guess the bad shit that is happening isn't AS BAD as the blow from my family member. But the people who would probably most closely resemble as my friends have picked a fight with me and dogpiled on me, and told me some pretty nasty things. And now my moid is mad at me because I can't follow his way of communicating. I just try to be nice with the idea that if I'm nice, people will be more likely to be nice to me, this clearly doesn't work. But I don't know if I even can be mean.

Fuck it. Who needs friends anyways? My husbando Rasher is moving into my animal crossing town on the 9th. Anons and robots are actually nicer than friends somehow, and these threads are always open. Fuck these fag friends.

Nobody will tell it to me to my face, but I know around the office my nickname is the "Ice Queen". Probably because I never look happy being in the office for any reason (especially office parties) and I don't entertain small talk while there is work to do.

I treat those under me very well and will always go to the plate for them. I'm just not going to spend 15 minutes chatting about the weekend waiting for a meeting to start when I could be doing something to shorten up the work day. Maybe it doesn't make for the best "office culture" but it gets results and people get to spend more of the afternoon with their kids rather than hunched over a desk.

Kind of a rock and a hard place since it's between being alone and being with people who treat you like shit.
The advice I've gotten is to, "find people who will appreciate you," but that's not guaranteed and very tiring if you search for too long.
>>
>>79334250
The small talk is one of the things I hate the most. There's a certain coworker I like working with since we both just do our own thing since we hate small talk. It's just feels forced and it wears me out. Don't get me started with the office parties. They're required because my boss combines it with mandatory staff meetings. The worst is that it's always a mid day one and I always have to do a 12hr shift that night.

The issue with the jam is that we already have quite a bit of it. We're still going through jars she made 10 years ago.

Fuck me this is like looking in a mirror. I've said literally all of these things to myself ~5 years ago. I've read studies showing people have become more narcissistic over time and I've got plenty of anecdotal evidence.

From what I see around most people don't have friends, if they have is from the common circles (school, work) instead of let's say organically, and the ones they keep is because they just put in the effort to contact each other regularly so the thing can actually endure.

At some point life got busy and making that effort became a ridiculous chore even for the normies it seems. Or social sites like this give you a smokescreen of effort that's not really effort so a true friendship doesn't really happen and you get stuck in that awkward discord routine of just saying pointless 'hi' to each other, idk. I just know is a general problem and has very little to do with narcissism or behaviors changing, you can tell the moment you talk to someone or the moment people still help each other when things get shitty (a great recent example is those floods in Spain)
>>
>>79339499

>studies showing people have become more narcissistic
that is super interesting. I wonder how culture will proceed when everyone is a certified narcissist? Obviously if it becomes the norm it won't be in the DSM and treated. It will just be tolerated and worked around. A 'healthy' relationship becomes one where both parties are able to leech of each other equally.
>I started treating going out with people like eating my vegetables
Yeah that's how I've been going on, but it's more like vegetables laced with poison. My 'friends' going out of their way to try and make me feel like shit. I mean the shit they said to me put moids ITT to shame.
>>79339517
I think things like social media kind of ruined the concept of 'friends'. First off, no effort is put into socializing; you send someone a message on Facebook or Discord, and they get back to it when it is convenient to them. So there's no give and take, it's all take and gets pretty greedy. You have an entire globe full of people, so you no longer have to put up with people that have a different view on what color apple tastes the best, creating tight nit echo chambers and people completely unable to even consider another POV. There's also the ability to better obscure yourself, like making yourself appear perfect by only showing the perfect parts. While you can do that to an extent irl, there's always going to be a mistake or trip up you do in real time. That has to affect people's views not just on others, but themselves.
Someone on these threads also pointed out how friendships really only continue as long as they are convenient which I think is true as well. Coworkers that get a new job, school friends that move away, etc. I think a part of being friends is how convenient it is to you to keep up that relationship
Anyways enough of my rant. Sorry for being Debbie Downer over here.

What the hell do you think has been happening in these threads? It's always been blog posting and convos since the early threads and that's exactly what got people hooked to the thread. You can just ignore chats that don't involve you instead of complaining about it.

You people are so fucking retarded it hurts.
>>
>>79340579
I'm not complaning, stupid. I'm literally telling you how it is
>well it's designed to be that way
Well, it's designed to be counterproductive and retarded. And it's not going to get better because that's not how imageboards are used, stupid foid. Keep complaining that the cube doesn't fit the circle mold.

Oh I'm the same guy who was talking about makeup before. I've moved to the boys' club, just lurk here every few days to see how you're all getting on.
>I wonder how culture will proceed when everyone is a certified narcissist?
I doubt it'll get THAT bad, at least as long as I'm alive. Though we're already kind of in that situation since a larger proportion of people exhibit narcissistic traits. Even on this site, people seem more interested in baiting for (You)s than having an actual conversation.
>A 'healthy' relationship becomes one where both parties are able to leech of each other equally.
This is probably worse than something I'd say when I'm not making bait threads. I'm fortunate to be in a position where people can't really offer me anything other than company and I don't look at them as a bunch of leeches.
>I mean the shit they said to me put moids ITT to shame.
Yeah, we can only go for low hanging fruit like "femoid bad". Only people who know you can go for the real fucked up shit.
>>
>>79340484
And that's not even counting anonymous posting.
>>
>>79340801
Anonymous posts are a good thing though. The more anonymous posts you have, the cooler you are.
>>
>>79340801
Wonder how much nonas use this site anonymously. I do post in other threads but most of the time just once, there's no discussion and no nothing going on there.
>>
>>79340689
Is that really a good thing?
>>
>>79340937
Yeah, she is best poster.

I find it funny people go like "oh, threads are dying/dead, nobody posts, it was better in the past" while they keep that silly view that posting here is bad and you're le mental ill for using a mainstream social media site like everyone else.

It was bound to happen that people finally start leaving at some point and no new people arrive to replace them. Activity in the entire site seems to be declining, I don't expect that trend to stop
>>
>>79334549
>Because that somehow makes it slightly less creepy.
You're right, I should play the victim and blame her for trespassing in my subconscious while I was vulnerable during my REM sleep. That always works for foids.

Are you jelly?
male cats have tiny barbs on their penis so as to help keep the female still - it increases chance of impregnation.
Female cats are 'induced ovulators' meaning that they will actually ovulate when having sex.
Cats can become sexually mature as early as 4m old, meaning females can give birth at 6m old. In theory, they can get pregnant again 2 days after giving birth although it is more commonly ~1m after giving birth. Their gestation is about 2m, meaning previous litter is ~3m old when momma cat could give birth again.
Average litter size is anywhere from 3 to 7 kittens per batch
Cats have this whole procreation shit down pat.

Sorry it's been awhile so I forgot where you said you lived. Was it Canada? If so, yes. Trudeau is a major villian of that. The news of his major gun bans even hit hard here in the states to people who don't care about them.

Fav dream I was on some ridiculous futuristic school somehow having a group of friends like in those animes.

>>
>>79344606
Yeah, I'm in Canada. It's really frustrating just how many guns are banned up here. Basically all of our gun crime is with illegal guns from America anyway but still they insist on limiting what those of us who obey the law can have.
>>
>>79344637
Oh, it's similar here. The government here has been trying to ban guns for the longest time and punish us who do things legally. A lot of the criminals who have guns have them illegally. So it's dumb for them to punish us for things others do.
>>
>>79344298
Give the neighbor a chance.
>>
>>79344665
The magazine size limits are awful too and I'm sure they're going to infuriate me when I start practicing with it. Pretty sure 10 rounds is the limit for that type of gun here. I can only hope that gets lifted too so I can get some 30 round ones.
>>
>>79344843
If I do, will you stfu about it?

>>79344907
I've seen those before that takes 9mm ammo. Ten doesn't sound much. But, I say that and my LC9's magazine capacity is 7. However, it does have extension magazines up to 9 I think? Now my SR9? Its capacity is 17, and I think tbe extensions are 32.
>>
>>79344998
The one we picked up can take SR-series and security-9 magazines but it also had a magazine well for glock magazines and that's what we're using now. So I guess if they lifted the restrictions we could probably get 33 round magazines? That would be nice.

Yes. We both had a great time. He's funny, has an amazing smile and an almost addicting laugh. We share a couple of hobbies, exercise being a big one. We talked sports and he let me nerd out about F1 for a bit. He got a text halfway through saying he had to pick up a shift in a few hours, so that really torpedoed my plans. We parted with a kiss and a plan to have dinner some time this week.

His work schedule practically being random to where he has no idea when and how long he'll be working lots of the time is a big hurdle to get over when you're talking about a relationship.

But he can get it when he wants it.

Missoureh. But I spent my time in university surrounded by students from across the midwest, and lots of them were Minnesotans. My first roommate was a yooper and you cannot hang around someone with an accent that thick and not pick up their habits.

I went to the doctor recently and they asked about eating disorders, part of which included counting calories. ofc I lied cuz I'm not having my insurance raise over a non-existent eating disorder, but I'm curious if that's considered a bad practice now. BMI is a bad scale. Calorie counting is a stupid exercise past a certain point. Just try not to eat anything which takes up an absurd amount of your daily nutritional value and you'll be fine. Try intermittent fasting and you'll drop some weight quickly.

This entire situation is caused by a lack of communication on both of your parts, and if you really do care about one another you'd be willing to make changes to accomodate the other for your own benefit. But you HAVE to make concessions and agree on those. It can't just devolve into a list of demands.

I never experienced anything, but others have. Like one co-worker was just over there to pick up supplies we needed (it was converted over to storage and offices) during the evening, and randomly a red ball was rolling down towards her way. She went to check and no one was there. Where it could have came from wasn't possible since the offices were locked.

I see. I hated that we were always judged on how low of weight we were. Runner's body I would not consider good. After finally converting over to other forms of cardio (e.g. cycling, jump rope, 30 minutes of squats) and resistance training, I feel I look a lot better. Are you doing anything different than what you was before?

>>79352643
I'm consider it a yes. Still, I don't love him, but I don't dislike him. We've talked many times before and I don't hate him.

He's a nice guy. Forty-two year old Army veteran, served in both Afghanistan and Iraq. After he got discharged, he worked as a DEA agent. He's now retired and on disability. He has a son and daughter, but is divorced. His son is in college and his daughter is in her senior year in high school. She lives with her mom.

All summer my work outs have been HIIT on a stationary cycle, 5-10 reps ranging 30-60s and double rest time intervals (depends on my cycle (i almost didn't add that because I forgot im on biofem)) with rest days being vinyasa, and daily core workouts (think like planks, deadbugs, etc) because I have a bad back.
Like a month ago, it finally got nice enough to do actual hiking. So I've been hiking a lot, 4-8m at a time. But the other day I accidentally did 12 when I got lost. Hiking in leu of vinyasa on nice days is the only recent change I can think of.
Oh and anxiety meds
>>79353593

>A good playlist helps with that
I've tried some music that pumps me up, I've tried interesting podcasts, I even tried an running app that pretends you're in a zombie apocalypse (I'm terrified of zombies).
Come to think of it, I think I fucking ruined running for me because when I was a smoker, I'd fast all day then go out on a run with my dog, and when I was exhausted I'd puff on a cigarette and it was the best high ever. So nothing is going to top that.

She was scared when she went to check and found all the offices locked. Immediately she took some of what she got from supplies and hurried back. Security went and got the rest due to how scared she was.

Hmm, it sounds like complete burnout. Are you taking a break? HIIT is great, but it shouldn't be done often. Once a week is usually good enough. The vinyasa is excellent for recovery and overall fitness: keep doing it if you feel like it. I would say to take rest days with the core, but I also found my back hurts much less from doing it often. The hiking is excellent as well. It's a great form of recovery. lol @12. I got lost quite a few times when I did several 50k's. That's despite the courses being marked well

True, but so much of Rockstar's games are now waiting on timers for things to happen. Meanwhile I can jump into a server with complete randos and get far more enjoyment out of it than any time I remember playing GTA:O.

Even RD:O which had similar gameplay loops was more fun because it was harder to someone to fuck with you when you have a posse. I guess I don't consider it all that fun if I'm playing a game stressed that at any moment some rando can come and fuck up any progress I make out of nowhere with minimal effort on their part.

>>79356927
I know HIIT is the meme with program like Insanity and P90x, but doing too much can lead to effects llike you are experiencing, most noticeable is the burnout and many times injuries. Even when I was in crosscountry, we were only doing two hard sessions a week during a training cycle. The rest were slow, zone 2 heart rate runs with nothing but that during the off season. And if that's all you did, it's going to be boring. It's a phase everyone goes through, but we get through it. I was apparently doing it wrong before I joined crosscountry. The easy runs were a new addition and were boring AF until I adapted to it and started seeing results. The hard sessions became more fun.

The amount of breaks you do is very acceptable. It's during that time that our bodies adapt to the stress and get better, not during the workouts.

The few 50ks I did, I was grateful for those sections, especially the flat gravel parts. They do provide some relief. Though the great views here are the hard trails. There's a certain trail here that you have to traverse basically an unmaintained trail with lots of briars and boulders to get over, but the sights reward is worth it.

However I think that did good for me because the next day I was motivated to find books on composistion and I found two and I'm working on them and I feel like I might be able to overcome a huge plateu I never realised I even were stuck in.

>I forget, do you play much vidya florida?
Not a ton; at least not on my own. I've got a friend who's much more into it; and when she finds a new multiplayer co-op that she wants extra players for, I'm always eager to at least give it a try. Most recently we've tried Pilgrim, which is basically just a middle-ages reskin of Lethal Company.
>I know you like ttrpg if I remember correctly
That's my first love when it comes to gaming, yes. : )

those go inside a sports bra pocket for padding, they usually get outside the pocket when put through a washing machine

Why are women more likely to vote liberal than men are? Is it because women are too emotional and lack critical thinking?

Do you think that insulting people is a good way to bring them around to your point of view?

I enjoy D&D well enough, but definitely not my favorite.
My favorite SYSTEM is probably Malifaux - Through the Breach. Very straightforward action economy, easy-to-remember situational modifiers, and heaps of very fun and flavorful abilities to choose from.
My favorite SETTING is probably Starfinder. Colorful and spiffy sci-fi with a heaping dose of magic.
I've not actually played CoC, I'm afraid.

I play co-op games almost exclusively. Helldivers 2 is a super solid co-op game. I'm not super into shooters myself, but I'm willing to play it because it constantly produces hilarious moments like accidentally attaching a napalm strike to a leaping hunter, causing all of us to get doused with the hot sauce.
>I don't know Rockstars history, so that will be an interesting Wikipedia read for me tonight
They supposedly pay their VAs like absolute shit for a massively disproportional amount of work. Hardly anyone come away from working with them and has good things to say.

You're right. She should settle for a 400 lbs neet with discolored ankles, scrawny beard and a skullet like yourself. God forbid she be a better judge knowing him personally than you.

Nothing will change. WW3 starts regardless of who wins anyway. Grocery prices still won't come down.

Great to play, but boy is it a THICC system. I've only ever played it homebrew for an LA-Noire inspired detective campaign without any supernatural stuff, so it was less complicated than it should have been.

Next bread is being baked. Trust the plan.

What? The newest edition is about as streamlined as 5e.

I think that it is downright demonic that the janny deleted my response to you. I went through something similar and you need to not take it personally. This situation was not a reflection on your worth. It was merely his bad for treating you that way. You don't need to focus on being good at blowjobs or stuff like that. The right man will accept you for who you are. The connection is what is important
