He got other disability. He didn't want to tell it. The reason why he washes his arse in the sink is because toilet paper doesn't clean his bum properly. It why he has to wash it in shower. He can't use toilet paper it smears fishy shitty stink. He can use half a toilet roll and it doesn't clean his bum properly. He read online it likely other issues. He not well. He go doctor.
He must have another disability. He tell doctor about it. If he gets older and that gets worse he might not be able to wash his own arse anymore.

He'd had bad anal leakage since the nineties. He wipes and wipes and wipes but it's like he's got a shit crayon in his arse. Toilet paper just smears all that shit everywhere and his shit smells like an open stoma bag filled with fish. It not nice for him as its very embarrassing and it not fair on anyone else because it can utterly stink out a room in twenty seconds.

He goes through several towels a day to be fair, he's said that mostly his washing machine is for towels but sometimes they still have that shitty fish smell lingering on them so he can't use them forever before he needs new ones.

Doesn't clean up constant anal leakage does it? It only needs a little tiny drop to stink out his underwear then he needs new ones. He just asks you understand how hard it is for him. He doesn't ask for your sympathy, he jus want you to understand what its like with hidden disability. Do you think he wants a smelly arse plus he got TMAU. His life is hard enough as it is, he doesn't really like to talk about it but sometimes he has to because people forget how hard it actually is.

the concept of hidden disabilities doesn't even occur to anyone over 40. i could PHYSICALLY carry food and drinks to a table if i underwent some physical therapy and exercise scheme to restore my muscles, then took a valium before every shift to stop the shakes. maybe a quick drink from the bar.

but could i TALK to all these normal people, some of whom are going to be abrasive or have little shouty sprogs? no. not without MORE valium or booze.

yeah they don't think this through. like i legitimately would just not go in, and that's bad for them. i'm a liability and whatever work i'd be responsible for, it wouldn't get done. it's like if you skived school but for some mental/social reason, that wasn't just being a horrible rapscallion off to sniff glue

and then the Jobcentre would go, 'but you're in employment! what do you mean you just want your bennies back which may necessitate restarting the whole process, now at cost to us?'

like fuck lads, hire an actual autistic person to figure that out. they love systems and stuff.

>>
Arch always struck me as a 'less mature' (in the sense of maturity) version of Debian.

Debian had these obsessive rules with passing security checks and so on, they wouldn't just trust Mozilla to say, "the latest Firefox is safe," no lads, we do our own checks here, professionally, by adults.
Arch always felt like teenagers from /g/ just going "building teh latest firefox. adding binary to repo now xoxo".

(you don't need the latest-and-greatest software, this new obsession with LOTS of iterations and CONSTANT updates in phone apps hopefully shows that. even Debian 'Unstable' is almost guaranteed to work flawlessly and all work together, no sudden OH FUCK WE RELEASED THAT??? software-breaking bugs.)
>>
like for the same 'Linux, but you choose the packages' that's just...Debian? that's what Debian is.
get any Debian CD/USB/netinst/whateverthing from the past 15 years and you can outright just not install the GNOME environment, for example. and they have these metapackages so say you want KDE, you can just install KDE, then you have Debian KDE. they don't have to call it Kedian like it's a separate project. same if you want some ultra-minimalist X with a tiling window manager or whatever, like a lot of the Arch kids have.

i just don't get why Arch exists or why people went for it. there was a barebones, pick-and-choose packages from a repo Linux already.

Arch is more for people who are into getting the best out of cutting edge releases due to rolling release and the AUR.
>>
>>80179364
yeah that's fair. i did use it for a while and liked it for that coming OFF Debian and similar. like even the more 'bleeding edge' Debian distros still have to undergo scrutiny, that's just their model.

but like on Windows if Firefox or qBittorrent or some other program i used just said there's a new version, yeah i want that, i want it now. but then Firefox stopped going from Firefox 3 to Firefox 4 which was a huge leap, to copying Chrome. like i can live if i didn't get NEW Firefox sync-tabs!!! or some bullshit, the same web browser will actually be stable and fine for months. so much online shit would break for SO MANY people if this wasn't the case.

i guess maybe it's more important now that native games on Linux are more common? like i can get why gamers DO need the latest patches. maybe you've paid money for a game and you can't play it online because oops, you need version 3.04. (honestly don't know how this works. i'm assuming there, they do just provide your own binaries, it's not open source...their own repos, or some standard Steam type thing?)

after so many different input methods and faffing about i love when they did XInput (?) and suddenly controllers just werked.

yeah your random fake SNES controller would show up as an Xbox 360 Controller, who cares. that's just how games interpreted it, it's fine. you didn't have to faff about with assigning buttons or deadzones in those dialogue boxes in Windows. go into all these emulator settings. in fact some of them had this database where they'd recognise YOUR weird controller.
only took fucking DECADES to get this one right, but alas.
>>
All this Linux bollocks bores me but I respect your dedication to not use Windows, lads.
>>
what time you got work tomorrrow?
>>
>>80179533
i think it's become less as important since every fucking thing is just a web browser or some web stuff wrapped in some other thing to pretend it's NOT a web browser (to my understanding this is how Discord and such work).

like i think the sticking points were always getting cross platform libraries where you could have a GUI that looks native on Linux but then it'd look like absolute dogshit on Windows, because the widgets/design/layout were simply different. but again Discord doesn't "look like a Windows program" does it?

guessing games are still an iffy thing. if Linux has actually full on Nvidia drivers now and i don't give a shit if they have binary blobs AND it can just run games, maybe we could feasibly actually ditch Windows. endless complaints about Windows 10, seeing similar with Windows 11 now.

Last time I went to a spoons there was a male to female tranny there who was like in his 60s. He looked like jimmy saville. It also had TVs on with the news. I dont want to watch propaganda while Im eating my big full English breakfast. Thx.

i like that you can just order from the app to your table. normally hate that type of thing but yeah it's class.
they even added the ales at one point i think, so you don't have to go up and check the actual taps. and they included real ale in the whole "includes a drink" deal, i remember someone writing in to their magazine requesting that, and they just did it.

if you're middle-class enough to have principles by all means go elsewhere. make sure it's still a free house though, the pubco (and even just brewery) system is fucked. stick to those principles of yours because you can afford them.

if you're an autistic or skint, spoons has actually mastered it. despite my issues with the company. it's just the Amazon of pubs (or even semi-fast-food/restaurants).

never seen TVs in a spoons, thought that was one of their things like not playing music (except in the specific Revolution ones, and even then it was only after 8pm or whatever it was).

i once had a 'friendly local' that was all fireplace and dogs and that, room with the sports on. but it was also empty all the time because whoever decided to buy it and do it up didn't consider we can't pay 4+ quid for a pint around here. people just won't. so it was a really rare treat for us.

this new 24/7 'groceries' company that's on all the apps/sites is mental. like it does just work but everything is so heavily marked up even for these services.

how the hell are meant to 'treat things at home' or 'think pharmacy first'? yeah you do just get all these American websites telling you it COULD be cancerous, or that wanting the TV volume to be a multiple of 10 means you probably have autistic OCD with narcissistic traits.

not the mustard you're thinking of. mustard in a sandwich like 'beef and mustard' is some kind of mustard seed thing you get from a jar. if you like spicy foods i strongly recommend wholegrain mustard. (i had no concept mustard could be like this until a pizza place did a 'spicy meatball pizza' with a mustard base, LUSH).

squeezy 'hot dog mustard'? that doesn't even get a name. that goes in the fucking bin.

i missed out on a Sega Saturn AND a Sega Dreamcast. all those cunts going on about how great the Dreamcast was, like this rare cult thing they were a part of. you had to be there.

i could have been there. my parents, who didn't love me, refused to get me one. didn't stop the package holidays or the heavy drinking, did it? if just one of them had stayed sober or gave up smoking for a month, that would have covered the cost of a games system.

i think boomers generally made the mistake that because THEIR parents were in war, they were worth looking after. and they extrapolated that to 'all children will look after their parents in old age'. well, should have looked after me better as a child then, shouldn't you? didn't even want love as such, just a Dreamcast.

this is a worthwhile campaign, adding the banner to my siggy.

i didn't play them until ages later but Far Cry was this surprisingly fun first person shooter where you could figure out your own way around the island. everything was tropical and nice. the plot was like a terrible 80s B-movie.

then they did a Far Cry 2 and everything was brown and you had malaria and it was serious gangsters like, what the fuck. okay now i'll take your game seriously. 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand? yeah man, now i'm playing an ADULTS game, i feel 15 instead of 12!

yeah i think this game came packed in to the Master System, like you either got it with it or the game loaded up if you didn't have a game in. something like that.

i don't even know if we got them here but there were all these mad 'Game Gear' Sonic games that i think 'became' Master System games, like there were a few Tails ones that were more like Blaster Master or Boy and his Blob (to use Nintendo examples) where you had to get the right items to solve the puzzles.

maybe that's why people didn't like 3D Blast because you're exploring and collecting instead of just whizzing around, but those isometric graphics were gorgeous and i still think it was fairly fast-paced. if you just ran into a caterpillar robot, that's on you.
>>
>>80181544
yeah. think people just like going fast in sanic games
>>
Just took a spontaneous shiddington, me
>>
>>80181591
but it's boring if it's not your control that's doing it. when they brought out Sonic 2 (or when i got it) something i appreciated is that at no point in the game - i think - did you HAVE to spindash. in Sonic 3 you did, some obstacles and so on.

the 3D ones literally boost the character down corridors and you just watch while a scripted scene of a loop-de-loop plays or it's literally ON RAILS. Sonic Advance 2 was a nightmare because it just flings you through these go-fast boosters and you hold right and you either know where stuff is or you don't.

Sonic 1 was best because you had to build up momentum using slopes and stuff, but i think only Green Hill Zone and Starlight Zone properly realised how to do that. i don't even think they're 'go fast' games really. sprinting in Super Mario World and flying about, you go pretty fuckin fast there too.

what do you even do? fight-or-flight response, sure, but you can't actually instigate something or physically just turn and leave. i'd always get a half, neck it asap, then walk out once the staring has simmered down to casual glancing.

The most recent time this has happened I did just get a half and leave, but often I'll just make a beeline for the bogs. I wonder what it is. >>
>>80183358
i mean the safe anonymity of spoons and the fact they tend to be larger means you can just go to the bogs.
these little hole in the wall places you have to quickly figure out what's where, which doors you're even allowed in. like if you just pop to the toilets everyone knows you're in the toilets. you'd better fucking buy a drink when you come back. but also you'd better not, you daft cunt, coming in here like it's a public house (i know that's not what 'public house' means nobody start).

>>
>>80183660
nah i think:
- 16 year olds should be allowed to vote (they're brainy, and will be 18+ for half of a normal government)
- sprog-havers should lose whatever rights possible WITHOUT falling into classism where only the wealthy can afford kids (make it proportional)
- no kind of inheritance ever, Britain is a complete meritocracy and your money goes to the state when you die
- private school = better? fuck you, it's now a lottery. little Beresford Huxbridge-Saxton is going to school with Gazza, Bazza, and Muhammad
- voting should require citizenship but NOT land ownership - this massive reform is overshadowed by the suffragette stuff
- anyone retired should not be allowed to vote
- anyone deemed subnormal, or with a mental age below 16, should also not be allowed to vote

i'd be up for getting rid of the House of Lords, and democracy isn't perfect but it needs some tweaking. one of those first/second/third proportional representation voting systems would make more sense. voting 'tactically' is almost like a 'protest vote', which is almost like 'spoiling your ballot', which is a hair shy of not voting.

The test would be whether it uses resources that a hardworking person might want to use.

Another option could be a priority system. You could have two queues for the post office, for example. One for workers, one for scroungers.
>>
I shouldn't work 40 hours a week and have to stand behind a dosser in the checkout line.
>>

i mean it's sad seeing a Post Office that once had 8 tills and now four of them are for stacks of stationery/forms, and two are just permanently shut. (i always assume they have the one + one spare either in case the other breaks, or if it's Christmas).

if this was all still public you could swing it as a community project where any NEET can simply go behind a till and start serving people, until they've done enough work to pay off the cost of THEIR parcel/stamps/whatever.

and they should turn the old empty space inside a lot of these Post Offices (that were once a Clintons or a Subway or something weird) into flats. you could easily fit two boxrooms in there, share the bathroom with the Post Office staff. no cap? i hate wasted space in shops, when people don't have places to live. empty units should go to the council and/or squatters if they're not let to a barbers/candy store within 6 months.

Cool little thing I found today: Anglish

https://anglish.org/wiki/Anglish

It's basically a construction of English which only uses root words from Anglo-Saxon and eschews later influences of romantic (mostly French and Latin) languages. This can be as simple as using words still in our common vocabulary but derived from old English e.g. government -> leadership. Or it can be words that simply aren't in use today but are correctly derived from equivalent old English words e.g. computer -> reckoner.

I guess it would qualify as a conlang, just something cool and fun imo.
>>
>>80184229
that's interesting. some of it sounds childish but you can still parse it, like you see how they got there.

sometimes you just wonder how the fuck we ended up with a word and OED.com is a great resource (if you have a library card number you can probably sign in). usually there'll be some kind of random guess that it MAYBE came from a similar Old French word, perhaps, and it's disappointing.

i'm sure people have tried to standardise English in different ways and i'm all for 'plain English' and so on but this is different, i like it.

in a similar vein (not googling this to check btw), Pidgin English is a larf:
https://www.bbc.com/pidgin
>>
you know what word is fucking stupid btw? wardrobe.

is it because it wards your robes? no. comes from the French 'garderobe' or something.

All of these wild theories about her being a tranny and stuff are needless imo and just distract from the very basic and obvious fact that Macron is simply a homosexual. There's no greater mystery, he's just a gay man and his wife is a classic beard. There's probably something to the idea that she molested him when he was a child and 'turned him gay' (most gays are gays because of child sexual trauma - this is essentially how they reproduce), but that's ultimately besides the point.

He's just gay. It's that simple.

just doesn't work in 3D. at this point they've done absolutely everything they feasibly can so the camera isn't a nightmare, but as a concept jumping around on platforms kind of requires you to have all the information like solving a puzzle does.

it can be fun still, and you can really get used to it (especially if you grew up with this stuff) but it's like having an analogue stick on a controller for a first person shooter. you either need a mouse, a light gun, or some motion thingy like the WIi.

mental how you can grow up listening to those 00s emo/pop-punk type bands and one of the songs is about a lassie drinking underage and a bloke sleeping with her, so it's a nonce thing
