I mean im spitting on your grave white brit boy,

That said, this is a Errol Spence 2.0, but probably worse cause his friend got decapitated and face turned to mush, I think Joshua probably has a back contusion, spinal bruise, neck fuck up, Nigerian hospitals are the fucking worst, my grandparents were all hospitalized and died cause the nig doctors wanted to be paid first, oh well, what can you say..

Well yea, pretty stupid on AJ's part there goes his career,

I wouldn't be surprised if the Nigerian doctors hold hostage and want 40 million of his apparent... checking notes....

honestly if he wins a playoff game that's enough for me. Pats roster isn't good enough to win the Owl yet (I think). They're going to probably go get a big body alpha type receiver in the offseason (my guess, they trade for MHJ) and then go build the defense in the draft.
>>
>>152734983
It would be the first time he beat a decent team since week 3

>>152734983
The way Drake Maye has been being touted about these past few months? You'd think he'd be a shoe-in for the championship. Plus, I'm a fan of a team that happens to be a division rival of his and I'm not buying into the hype he's been getting. His team split with my team 1-1. So unless he goes all the way, I'm not going to be impressed. That's just me.

Why isn't table tennis a major professional sport? It's in the olympics, lots of people play it casually. Why hasn't a big federation caught on like golf and regular tennis? Even darts gets more attention.

It probably unironically will in the future when there are more good players from Europe and Brazil so its not Chinese A vs Chinese B anymore.

I notice France has been shilling these guys a lot. Even Macron himself showed up to congratulate these guys when they won something big. I dunno what he sees in them but he felt the need to personally step out and do it while a lot of other sports never get the same recognition.
>>
>>152730845
It's fairly "big" in some European countries, and it is pretty huge in China. I got into contact with quite a few Chinese people as part of my job, and they all ended up asking me about Timo Boll after a few minutes
It can get bigger in some countries like the US, but expecting it to reach China level everywhere is unrealistic. At the end of the day, it still is a rather silly game that will never be more than a niche sport. It does not have the glamour of tennis or golf, and it cannot build the financial momentum to compete with them anytime soon. Players in the leagues of China and Germany are usually professionals already, and top tier players from any country usually make a good living, although they are not stacking cash like footballers

You'd think as one of the first countries to play soccer, Ireland would have a league that punches above its weight just like England.

But instead, their league is far worse than similar-size countries like Norway or Slovakia. What gives?

You can't have a biggest 'British' club from Birmingham because there are no British people left in Birmingham.
Toon and Leeds fans blow the fuck out of every other fanbase in the league, proper die-hards. The fact that they've both been shite for 20 years but still maintain that fanbase is why they're big clubs.

Stable as in good attendance, no financially struggling clubs, and little risk of shutting down. Unlike the previous leagues we had like NASL. I'm not saying it's full of talent, I'm saying its financially stable and people watch it, which is true.
>>
>>152734783
they watch it for messi or because they jumped from the imploding ship that is Ligma MX. Most americans watch premier league or whatever team Pulisic is on. USL is unironically the only league trying to do anything with division one trying Pro/rel and letting tons of teams start up instead of asking a billion dollars for an expansion slot
>>
>>152734794
Ok? From a business standpoint it doesn't matter why people watch it, as long as they do. Messi certainly helped but it was doing well before him, which is why they expanded and created the very team he plays for in the first place. A struggling sports league doesn't expand to having 5 new teams in 3 years. Obviously PL is better attended/ watched, that's not the point. I'm saying there's sufficient money and interest in MLS to keep it around (a prerequisite for a country with any hope of developing a decent national team) which was never the case in this country in the past.
>>
>>152734794
As much as I hate saying it: franchise systems might actually be "better" for the modern business of football ... if the owners are willing to invest, which is a big if, of course, since they can just sit on their asses and make a profit most of the time
It's just that the mere threat of relegation devalues clubs and makes sponsors and investments unlikelier. With a franchise system, amassing that money is easier, and things are steady. Then it "only" takes investments in youth work and facilities and some actual ambition. By comparison, clubs here have a harder time being profitable, and when things get really dire, they tend to set back on things like youth work, even though they know it's not a smart thing. So it happened with my local club when they fell from the Bundesliga to the 4th tier within a few years. So it happened with HSV in their era of unspeakable brain damage
The key requirement is MLS being profitable, of course. If it can stand on its own feet, the system has a chance. It still sucks in my opinion, but it is a possibility that the football world is so fucked nowadays that being all about business is potentially better than the old-fashioned way of a system that prioritizes the sportive aspect

he isn't some 6'8" demigod but 5'10" isn't some turbomanlet either. considering the similarity of build and style, I'd say gary medel more fits the bill, barely taller than pissi. speaking of which, if it weren't for the great rigging of qatar, this would be the sole legacy of riggi.
