J League is massively underrated imo. As a neutral, the games are ridiculously entertaining and the technical quality is crazy good.The technical level of (almost) all the players is way higher than people think. First touch, control, passing, and movement are consistently sharp. Many J league players are also surprisingly very two-footed, teams play proper passing football, and the league is genuinely competitive with no single team dominating, similar to the PL. Players like Mitoma didn’t magically become technical in Europe that foundation was already there.Only real downsides are the lack of physical challenges and the overall pace/tempo is slower compared to the PL or La Liga (naturally), but in terms of pure technique and team play, the J League clears its reputation easily. Think of a more technical version of the scottish league.
Seems to be a decent level of support too, attendances around the 20k mark

i'd be weary of changing what already works if i was one of these TV execs raking it in from these football deals. it's hard to calculate all the potential unintended consequences of removing the black-out. consider that at the moment, if you support a midtable EPL club, your team plays Saturdays probably most of the time. this means your "fix" of EPL football on TV is on Sunday afternoons or Monday nights, where you aren't watching your team most of the time. once you allow those fans to watch on Saturdays at 3pm, all they're going to do is watch their own team's game. their "TV fix" of EPL football is fully satiated by watching their own team every weekend. they are no longer tuning in to Monday night football or Super Sunday. Super Sunday is no longer "Super". it's merely two games from the full EPL fixture list for that weekend, all of which would now be available.
