Bills vs Eagles Hype Edition

It was in late November of 2023 that these two teams met the last time in Philly.
In a game that many at the time would have argued was "rigged" in the Eagles favor,
Buffalo managed to keep it close and force the game into an OT finish. The Bills lost.
It was a night that many would have sworn the Bills looked like the better team.
Now, over two years later, the Bills get another opportunity to get their win back in Buffalo.
Of course, as the reigning Super Bowl Champions, the Eagles will defend their win as well as their glory.
Can the Bills beat the Eagles (...and possibly the refs)? Or will the Eagles reign supreme in Buffalo?

Muggsy Bogues is actually the greatest athlete of all time. To be 5'3" in a sport where the average player is over 1 foot taller than you and height is (almost) everything is insane.

Well yeah, the football was good. And you knew what to expect and never to get your hopes up. It was comfy knowing Arsenal would style on the lower teams and you knew never to tune in when playing the top 4 because we'd get pumped.

Philly has good bread, I’ll give you that. But you need to stop gate keeping a fucking sandwich.Yes the Wawa one was garbage but all the cheesesteaks I had in Philly were garbage is my point. It’s like your entire identity is tied to this one sandwich and nobody else can make it even though everybody else’s is better. “That’s not a real cheesesteak because it doesn’t take like shit”

This.
They refuse to give any credit to people like Jokic and Luka (who are already top 10 ATG) because they're white and joggers have some tribal thing in their brain that stops them from being objective. They can't even admit that Eminem is the best rapper simply because he's white.

What possible argument do you have for Horry that isn't just more compelling for Russel or even Havlicek? And the idea of an undisputed top 10 that doesn't have even one of Russel, Wilt, or Kareem is absurd.

>No, his TS% was below league average.
Why make shit up? He was only worse than league average after his achilles tear in 2013. Even in 11/12, he was exactly league average, and that was the worst mark in his entire career to that point.

J League is massively underrated imo. As a neutral, the games are ridiculously entertaining and the technical quality is crazy good.

The technical level of (almost) all the players is way higher than people think. First touch, control, passing, and movement are consistently sharp. Many J league players are also surprisingly very two-footed, teams play proper passing football, and the league is genuinely competitive with no single team dominating, similar to the PL. Players like Mitoma didn’t magically become technical in Europe that foundation was already there.

Only real downsides are the lack of physical challenges and the overall pace/tempo is slower compared to the PL or La Liga (naturally), but in terms of pure technique and team play, the J League clears its reputation easily. Think of a more technical version of the scottish league.

i'd be weary of changing what already works if i was one of these TV execs raking it in from these football deals. it's hard to calculate all the potential unintended consequences of removing the black-out. consider that at the moment, if you support a midtable EPL club, your team plays Saturdays probably most of the time. this means your "fix" of EPL football on TV is on Sunday afternoons or Monday nights, where you aren't watching your team most of the time. once you allow those fans to watch on Saturdays at 3pm, all they're going to do is watch their own team's game. their "TV fix" of EPL football is fully satiated by watching their own team every weekend. they are no longer tuning in to Monday night football or Super Sunday. Super Sunday is no longer "Super". it's merely two games from the full EPL fixture list for that weekend, all of which would now be available.
>>
>>152689055
What else are you gonna watch on a Sunday Night?
You think just because a guy went to see Brentford/Forest in person he's gonna go, "I already saw footy on the Tele, I'm gonna watch a Panel Show where David Mitchell makes wordy puns on current events"
>>
>>152688908
If all the tourists and out of towners buying up tickets that currently prevent you attending games were to support their local teams, you'd probably be able to get a ticket.
>>
>>152703369
Basically if the world was still 1975 we'd still be able to live like it was 1975, but it's 2025, almost 2026 for god's sake. We can't be going around asking for it to go back to what can't come back.
The world is constantly shrinking and changing you have to adapt instead of lamenting. You know the same thing happened over here, especially with baseball in large cities. Sure the Dodgers and Yankees and Cubs and Red Sox sell out every game, but is that devoted Angelinos, New Yorkers, Chicagans and New Englanders filling the seats every night to cheer on their beloved team, or is it tourists from both America and the World who need to see a baseball game and/or need to see a Yankee Game or Fenway or The Dodgers or Wrigley.
World evolves, I can't go to as many games as I did a decade ago.
You just have to adjust, move on and accept that you can't close Pandora's Box.
