I think the Vuelta will be a weird race this year unless Pogi ends up going (even then he'll have an insane number of race days by then). Pretty much every GC contender for that will have a Tour on their legs (+ Olympics for some). It could become very unpredictable.

okay, it's not over but (big if) pog can just play it safe and continue to win 10-20s per mountain stage with the final sprint then fishboy is fucked. no superhuman "d'une autre planete" TT will bring back 2.5-3min. pog clearly has the team for that.
>>
>>142335758
Of course. When the king og having a bad day, Remco, can win it, everybody can.
Point was just that you can't judge someone's GT potential from a stage or even a week. It's way too easy to suddenly bonk and get completely fucked because you can't really measure your recovery.

This

Also, when I used to watch tdf 15 years ago, the winning riders would sit behind their teammates 95% of the time and attack to get a lead at the steepest and longest climbs that ended the stages only. I thought they were maybe 3% more doped up than the rest, that's why they could afford to be fresher, quicker for this 3% of the time. Now I turn on the highlights for the first time and I see the winners literally attack on flat ground alone at the start of the tour. Shouldn't a peloton just be able to hunt them down with ease? With a different rider sprinting and taking the peloton lead every few minutes? Isn't draft and air resistance a thing now? What happened? How do the riders ride alone in the wind now and gain an advantage? Especially on a 3 week race. Wtf.

Are there Russian sites or apps where I can book hotels Rusbert. It is a bit annoying to just have to show up somewhere and hope they have room. And then a rude lady is rattling off all sorts of shit and even though it is clear my Russian is not very good they will make no effort at all to use simpler vocabulary or speak slower. It doesn't really help repeating the words that I don't understand over and over. But ANYWAY that is the true Russian experience of course

you can use it there because it's technically not VISA / MC anymore, it's instead backed by russia itself. Conversely, russian issued cards would not work outside (except maybe for China, I have no idea if it was integrated into their system or just roughly copied).

But yeah, of course people will take the dollar/euro since they are in short supply, it's just that spreads were so high that they had to do an argentina there to try to contain it from spiraling.

>“We came here believing we’d lose time in three of the first four stages, so to lose time on just one is pretty good in my opinion. We thought we might lose two minutes or more, so only 50 seconds behind is quite good. Our time will come.
there's probably some article on hln or wilier fritz as well.

So he only lost 10 seconds on the climb and the rest on the descent. Not bad. But lucky there was a headwind or Pog would have gone sooner and likely done more damage. He was still better than Remco and much better than everyone else at responding to what was a nuclear attack.

not sure I understand. you can exchange pretty much any currency in regular banks. I don't think there's much demand for euro/dollar, because there's no use for them inside the country anyway. Sber app nowadays shows exchange rates for CNY, AED and USD. guess euro isn't in demand rn.

Vingo would have to go above his level from last year's TT to be competitive
