Aston Villa and Newcastle no debt = made to sell players to be compliant. Manchester United over a billion pounds in dead it's all fine tell you what we'll even give you a special allowance. It's wrong. Every football knows it's wrong and yet a few teams who have achieved their position by being allowed to spend cash from wealthy owners are fixing the system and changing the rules every year to counter unruly upstarts
>>
>After spending hours in an online queue last week, some Oasis fans were faced with a big price hike when buying tickets for the band's reunion tour - and the practice is coming to elite-level European football.

>This week Spanish top-flight club Valencia announced they would use the controversial system of 'dynamic pricing' for home matches.

>"Following the global trend in shows, sporting events and entertainment, Valencia will join this practice, which has the support and technology of La Liga," the club said.

>"Tickets will therefore go on sale at a base price, which could increase as the days go by. Buying your tickets early will ensure you get the best price."

>A spokesperson for Valencia supporters' group Libertad VCF told BBC Sport: "We are radically against it.

>"It is a strategy of pure speculation based on demand without taking into consideration that football fans are not simply customers who don't care if they fly with Ryanair or British Airways.

>"Those who can will bear it, and those who cannot will have their seat taken by a tourist who does not care whether Valencia win or lose."

The Times is pretty accurate especially from that particular journo. wonder what will be the plan going forward, Casemiro is beyond finished but Ugarte can't play every single game.
Anyway there's already some murmur that the young Mali DM they just signed won't stay that long in academy team before being fast-tracked to the senior team so maybe they're gambling for that?

They have a point. I doubt tickets for Valencia v Osasuna for example would have as much demand as Valencia v Real/Barca. But then that's the whole point of having certain fixtures defined as Class A or Class B as some clubs do so you can charge more for the matches against bigger sides.
>>
>>144198764
exactly, you already have games being priced for demand. in fact, every single game is priced for demand since a big club in the top division charges more than a small club in a smaller division
>>
>>144198781
>exactly, you already have games being priced for demand.
Which renders dynamic pricing irrelevant.

NO-ONE is panicking yet and the view is that the club haven’t kept Ten Hag and built a new system around him just to sack him at the first sign of trouble — However, there is an acceptance that poor results will NOT be allowed to continue indefinitely.

I think so. Ten Hag's first season he only brought in Antony, Martinez and Weghort on loan to replace Ronaldo. With Ronaldo they were scoring goals and weren't dipping into negative GD. Antony and Weghorst weren't scoring. That season Liverpool, Tottenham and Chelsea also had massive crisis leaving the top flight far easier than in previous (and later) seasons. Ole would have benefited from that good fortune too. Other stuff on the way to the Carabao such as Newcastle being forced to use their 3rd choice keeper happened in match unrelated to United so again, Ole would have that same good fortune. The only on that would be affected would be the Carabao semi-final against Fulham since it was JSanchz' shot on goal that led to the handball red card which spiralled into 3 red cards.

Sure Rashford was having the best season of his life but that didn't last past the contract negotiation so I think its reasonable to say that was independent of Ten Hag since Ole would give him the same contract.

2nd Season would probably be better since there'd likely be less injuries but at this point so much of the squad has become Ten Hag players its difficult to gauge.

>Football Manager is removing Weight from the game because they're adding women's football and after speaking to women, the women said it should be removed because sometimes they get fat week-to-week
Fucking hell. The rise of women's football has been a disaster for the sport.
>>
>>144198960
The way they are playing right now they will beat Southampton and 1 of Palace/Brentford. They are shit. Ipswich got a better result against Liverpool and Brentford got a better result at Anfield. No point in saying he needs 17 points because there is zero chance of it happening.

>>
>>144199091
Why not just have women report their weight? I can’t imagine EA go around weighing every player
>>
>>144199111
The reason they gave was basically they asked women about the weight feature and the women all gave a vague sort of "Well ahcktually women's weight fluctuates all the time, every day even, so if you ever see my weight anywhere that's probably just during a fat day and I'm actually way skinnier most of the time". So SI said they aren't going to write an algorithm to creature fluctuating weights, so they scrapped weights entirely. Which makes no fucking sense because real footballers bulk up and slim down all the time and that's never stopped SI from just using a static weight for them.

The real reason of course, is that women don't want to be "fat" on the game and therefore won't allow their weights displayed.

yeah I think I already gave up on him, washed de Gea in his last few seasons with United actually still knew how to position himself well when saving shots, it's just his brainfarts especially when trying to play from the back got a lot more noticeable and happened a lot more.
meanwhile i don't even know what's good with this dude, a lot of the goals that he conceded was because of his really dodgy positioning but some people would like to debate you it's always 100% the fault of the defenders' in front of him.

I was saying it here at the weekend. He's trying to make Casemiro play the Toni Kroos role, but he's not Toni Kroos. If he tries the same with Ugarte, it's going to fail for the same reason.
>>
>>144199705
Reminder that Brighton are the only team there that have had any difficult teams in the first games.
>>
>>144200982
I think Casemiro is meant to play as an enforcer but he doesn't have the legs to do it anymore. If this is the case, Ugarte will fit the role much better.
>>
>>144201046
That's the thing. He SHOULD be playing as an enforcer, but he's not. Watch the goals back. He's being used as the creative pivot. They're giving him the ball to play progressive passes, he's getting caught either dawdling on the ball or doing the progressive pass poorly and then they're caught in 1v1s because the fullbacks have bombed up the pitch to be the outlet that Casemiro is supposed to be feeding. Then he gets subbed off and Mainoo becomes the creative pivot and what happens? He gets played the ball, he dawdles, the fullbacks push too far up and boom 3-0

>The EFL notes the decision of the independent Appeal Board in respect of Leicester City’s appeal regarding the Premier League’s jurisdiction over the Club’s alleged breach of its Profitability and Sustainability Rules.

>We are currently reviewing the decision in full and will reserve any further substantive comment until any possible appeal process initiated by the Premier League has concluded, and or any action is taken by the EFL.

>We share the frustrations of the Premier League. It cannot be right that Clubs potentially escape the scrutiny of the agreed rules and sanctions due to movement across the divisions.

>Cost control rules have been agreed by the member clubs of the Premier League and EFL, and it is incumbent on the Leagues to apply the rules as intended to uphold the integrity of competitions, with Clubs required to act in utmost good faith towards one another for the benefit of all Clubs and their supporters.

Alright, let's have a pint and talk about this Premier League season.
So, it seems like City are at it again, huh? They're like a well-oiled machine, scoring goals for fun. Pep Guardiola must be some sort of football wizard.
Arsenal started off hot like a spicy curry, but they've cooled down a bit lately. Maybe they've eaten too many pies and pints.
And then there's United. Oh, United. They're like a comedy goldmine at this point. Every match is a new episode of "How Not to Play Football." It's like watching a car crash in slow motion, but you can't look away. Ten Hag must be thinking, "What have I gotten myself into?"
Liverpool are trying to find their mojo, but it's a bit like searching for a needle in a haystack, especially when Klopp's hair is getting longer by the week.
So, there you have it. City are cruising, Arsenal are stumbling, and United are a laughing stock. It's been a season of surprises, but mostly, it's been a whole lot of fun to watch.

So far this season, it's been a bit like watching a high-stakes poker game where everyone else is all-in and we're just casually sipping tea, handy having a poker pro in charge. Brighton's been absolutely killing it. I mean, have you seen our squad? We're now like a finely tuned Swiss watch, except instead of telling time, we're telling other teams how to play football.
It's been a masterclass in efficiency, a symphony of passes, and a relentless pursuit of victory. The other teams are starting to look a bit panicked, like they've just realized they left the oven on. But don't worry, lads, we've got this. The title is ours to lose, and I'm pretty sure we've lost that ability somewhere between Pedro's last goal and Veltman's game management at Arsenal

I didn't feel sorry for Kobbie Mainoo. He is very average. His goals vs Wolves and Liverpool last season were great but he isn't a metronome, dominant, ball carrying, or press resistant midfielder. He isn't a specialist in any role. His best quality is his 'all-rounded' game. He suits a 4-4-2 or 4-5-1 CM. Modern game isn't built for players like him. Mwepu from Brighton who retired with heart problems was a much better CM prospect.

Agree with most of this but don't think he's complete crap Peterborough tier. Man United central midfield has been entirely slacking since even Fergie brought back Scholes.

Herrera, Schneiderlin, Schweinsteiger, Fred and now the current crop with Casemiro. CM has been a nightmare for United for over a decade, which is why an alright talent like Mainoo gets so overrated. English CM situation isn't great either.

Although now I think of it, Man Utd entire spine is a problem now. Their strongest part of the central core is probably Hojlund Zirkzee up top... :skull:

Oh good. Another retard. The guy can play there. But so could I and I'm an old man. I wouldn't be good at it. TAA isn't good at it from a defensive aspect. >>144213906
I mean the solution here is to slap Ben White and tell him to grow up. He objectively has a better partnership with Saka than anybody and they could really make the right side dangerous. Instead England put Walker there (who is the best RB but he won't be the best RB forever). TAA should be played as a winger instead of Saka or Palmer for some games. I am sure he will do better than CM or RB. I assume when/if Walker goes it will be TAA replacing him or James (if he is ever fucking fit).
>>
>>144213852
Slot, Hurzeler, Guardiola, Arteta in that order. Simply because Slot had the 'harder' games and won them all. Hurzeler because he didn't win them all. Guardiola because he won them all. Arteta because he didn't win them all and even had he done so he wouldn't have won it anyway. Also Hurzeler got carded so that would have knocked points off.

I think you can ask for a 'nickname' shirt if you're in a team with people with the same name. So Onana (midfielder) could be asked to be called one of Amadou Ba Zeund Georges Mvom Onana, since that's his full name. Meanwhile Onana (GK) is called André Onana Onana. Which I find funny nobody is doing the Djemba-Djemba joke of 'so good they named him twice'. Since that's his full name.

the absolute state

also weird that both chose 24 as their shirt number
>>
>>144214157
Yeah that is odd. The league is full of people with silly names. Tosin has to be known as Tosun because his full name is Abdul-Nasir Oluwatosin Oluwadoyinsolami Adarabioyo. Imagine Merson trying to pronounce that. So he just asks to be known as Tosin. Weird thing about this guy is he is huge but hasn't played for any England youth teams for ages. Yeah he is 26 now, but he stopped in 2015, where he would have been 17. Doubt he will somehow get into the England squad anyway. Tomori is another one, his actual name is Oluwafikayomi Oluwadamilola Tomori. Since people will have obvious issues calling him by his first name, he is known as Fikayo (part of his first name, as you can see). So I assume Onana (midfielder) would have asked to be called Amandou or Zeund or something.

Top player that I think any of the 'big six' should have gone for and baffled none of them did. Villa going to be fine with him instead of Luiz.

Personally think you are wrong and don't know what you are talking about. Prem used to be strict on player names on shirts but not anymore. Fabregas in 2003 wanted 'Cesc' but wasn't allowed so went with surname. Gradually over the years, the rules were relaxed and now players can have whatever they want on their shirt.

Chicharitos name is Hernandez Balcacer his shirt had Chicharito that was probably a big step towards nick names on shirts normal. Now Savio put his name to Savinho because he felt like it. Rodri wears Rodrigo for Spain. Aguero had nickname real name Kun Aguero on his.

Yes you can. Though you can also accuse Peps system of becoming truly unstoppable with Haaland.

What did Haaland win, individual or team, before City ? Fuck all. Don't get me wrong Haaland City is the most devastating combo we've probably ever seen in this league overtaking Henry's Arsenal, United's Ronaldo and City's Aguero. But you can easily say Haaland is a system babby especially when you look at his all round performances. A reminder that Emma Hayes once considered herself above a League One job: https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11668/12208230/emma-hayes-clarifies-afc-wimbledon-comments-no-amount-of-money-is-going-to-tempt-me-away-from-chelsea

>Chelsea Women boss Emma Hayes has clarified her stance after claiming AFC Wimbledon could not afford her, insisting it is not about money but the fact she has the "best job in the world".

>Hayes had been linked with the vacancy at Wimbledon, which would have seen her become the first woman to manage a professional men's team in English football.

>On Tuesday, Hayes emphatically shut down the reports, calling them an "insult" to women's football, while she also replied "absolutely not" when asked if the League One side would be able to convince her financially.

>Speaking after Wednesday's League Cup semi-final win over West Ham, Hayes reiterated she was happy at Chelsea and that "no amount of money" would see her leave the role, where she has won three WSL titles and two Women's FA Cups in eight-and-a-half-years at the helm.

>"Football is for everyone," she said. "It's not for the privileged, it's not for the few, it's not for the elite. Football is represented by a diverse society and within that diverse society men's football does not reflect the diverse society that we live in.

>"I sincerely hope AFC Wimbledon find the right candidate for their football club. The whole point about them not being able to afford me is nothing to do with money, but everything to do with the fact that I'm in the best job in the world. No amount of money is going to tempt me away from that.

She is a delusional nasty cunt. No shock she got the US job, they're just like her.

It's clear new winger wasn't in United's priority last window. Like they could pay 60m euros like what Bayern paid but they didn't because they were working under a budget and you could see some deals like Mazraoui and Ugarte needed AWB and Mctominay to be sold first.

Palmer is their best player and is literally soley responsible for the wins they've had so far and was vital for the draw last match day. Them kicking him out means one of two things

1. Chelsea think they can win it without him
2. Chelsea want to throw it

Because in the first game, he started and they won 2-0. The next game, he doesn't play at all and they lose 2-1. Palmer is single-handedly keeping Chelsea around. He's the top assister already iirc.

Except for the infamous Virtue Signal Rovers appointment: https://www.fgr.co.uk/news/dingley-named-caretaker-head-coach

>Forest Green Rovers - recognised by FIFA and the United Nations as the world’s greenest football club - has today confirmed the appointment of Hannah Dingley as Caretaker Head Coach.

>Dingley joined the club as a coach four years ago and remains the only woman in charge of a men's English Football League Academy.

>During her tenure at the club, she has also initiated the launch of the FGR Girls Academy in 2021, which develops female players - mirroring the men's setup. She takes the reins with immediate effect.

>Dale Vince, Chairman, Forest Green Rovers, commented: “Hannah was the natural choice to be first-team interim Head Coach - she’s done a fantastic job leading our Academy and is well aligned with the values of the club.

>"It’s perhaps telling for the men’s game that in making this appointment on merit, we’ll break new ground - and Hannah will be the first female Head Coach in English (men’s) football."

Games Dingley managed, all pre-season

>D 1-1 against Melksham Town (8th tier)
>W 2-0 against UCD (League of Ireland)
>L 0-4 against Coventry (Championship)
>W 1-0 against Everton U-21

I didn’t say the vvd aura comment
but he meant that vvd pioneered being more known and rated for your aura (presence, style, dominance, personality) rather than football ability and performances

It set the tone for the disaster season that followed.

>any year in the history of the Earth
>appointing Troy fucking Deeney as your manager

To be fair, Palestine aren't that bad. They're ranked 96th. For example, Armenia are 97th, Uganda are 95th. Also New Zealand are 94th (I refuse to use their new FIFA name, fuck off retards).
>>
Fun fact, Eritrea is unranked in FIFA, which is actually lower than San Marino.
>>
>>144217572
I should clarify that's because they've note played in over four years.

absolutely gay

mainly because eritrea is the african equivalent of north korea and their players keep running off: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2023/nov/13/eritrea-withdrew-from-2026-world-cup-qualifying-over-fears-players-will-flee

Yeah I corrected myself, but it's still funny. As for New Zealand, both they and their Aussie counterparts who keep trying to put new Union Flagless flags in annoys me. I know Martinique is French and uses French flag but they do have a specific flag for sporting events and other events but nobody uses it on broadcasts.

I didn't know they had financial constraints. Not after FFP stopped applying to them (but still applies to everyone else btw).

Gonna be piss funny when branthwaite goes United on a free next summer
>>
>>144217710
Funnily enough, after he left United, he got signed by 2 clubs which won their league each. Although in his move to Japan, he only got to play 1 game and it's not even a full 90 so I thought this dude must have been dusted.
>>
>>144217717
Aren't Everton in the shit via money as it is? Where they will likely need to sell in Jan? Sure that's what they will do. United will bid £40m (£25m+£15m performance) in Jan.
>>
>>144217857
If Everton get relegated United can get him for free
>>
desu luxembourg would bootyblast all of the asian teams
>>
>>144217923
Ah. Well United can offer a contract in Jan (assuming he doesn't sign an extension) which means he can join on a free at the end. Or they can offer a fee to get him then and there six months earlier. Everton would be dumb to ignore it. But United will prob not want to pay above £15m if that was the case (assuming it looked like Everton were going to be relegated). I don't know if Branthwaite has an automatic extension clause thing.

>>144217939
I'm not sure about that. Japan, Australia, Iran are all good teams. Speaking of Luxembourg and minnows... San Marino is playing Liechtenstein in the Nations League I think soon and that is the ONLY team that San Marino has ever beaten (1-0 friendly win). Also I hate how there is an Liechtenstein and Lichtenstein. I always forget which one the country is.

I feel like ten Hag hasn't been grateful enough for how protective and supportive INEOS has been to him.
INEOS has basically changed almost every personnel, both training staff and the management behind him like new CEO, sporting director, technical director, performance director and so on. If he still cannot change his braindead tactic where the team stays vulnerable everytime they face a fast counter-attack than he deserves every right to get sacked ASAP.
>>
>>144198438
probably just doesnt notice it
>>
>>144218038
In the same reasoning you must offer this protection to Ten Hag for at least this season because its his first season with proper support structure
>>
>>144218135
I'll give it til December. Missing out CL again will be disastrous.

For those who are interested in the game or care, FM24 is completely free (to keep) if you go claim it on Epic Games Store. Only have a week or so to claim it though
But you all seem like FIFA Fannies anyway so you'll be too scared to do so!

Now that Leicester have avoided a points reduction its very possible that Everton finally get flushed

No.

Yeah I get that, I don't like the platform either, but I use it for the free games and play them on my Steam Deck

Given that Pep's City was the best in the league and broke the goals record before Haaland joined, not to mention that Haaland disappears every big game I really think you can.
