After playing both the original Shandalar and the 2016 update version I've come to the conclusion that magic was just more fun in 1995 when it was more loose and relaxed. The kinds of decks you go up against in the 2016 version are so much more ruthless about shutting down every play you make that the only way to compete is to be an even more obnoxious dickhead and make sure they never get a chance to do anything. Every victory was bitter and spiteful in a way that I never felt with the older simpler Magic cards.

that's what most people's cubes end up doing in find, since there's mostly fun and janky shit. you also have budget formats like pauper / penny dreadful / almighty dollar / etc where the game is just default lower and slower because all the big blowout cards are indirectly banned by rarity/price.
>>
>>97374732
>Sorcery or Ashes
sorcery is more contacting back to old mtg on vibes. it's casual by necessity because the rules are so loose that you just need to handwave shit now and then.
Ashes is a good shout though. it does manage to feel like old days in the sense of being able to play your pet decks and pull off janky ass bullshit wincons, and games swinging back and forth a couple times before one player comes out on top. that said it's not mechanically like a mtg. too complex and thinky.

> we'll never have a proper client.
Never say never. All it takes is the right person to make something happen.
Part of me dreams that somebody will make a FOSS Client for MTG on par with Duels of The planeswalkers or EDOPRO/Project Ignis for Yugioh. Something fully 3d with Commander and the like.
Also old MTGO like you posted there is incredibly soulful UI appearance wise at least.
>>
>>97385117
fan clients always have to lie kind of low because wotc is very litigious. it'll happen "someday" but that someday probably needs to be after the game goes oop.

>>97385089
it's definitely a big part of what made the game so fast and unforgiving.

>Cheesy 80s guitar mixed with fife and drum intro plays
>Small skirmish between the British and French
>Sharpe flailing his sword around while Hagman gives cover fire
>They win the skirmish
>Messenger on horseback approaches
>"Lieutenant/Captain/Major Sharpe, you are summoned to Lord Wellington's tent"
>"Bloody ell Patrick, what's 'e want now"
>Sharpe arrives in old Nosey's tent
>His spymaster of the day is there
>As is a weasel looking British officer or French lord
>"Sharpe, this is Lord Fucksworth, who has a dangerous mission for you - you will be enormously outnumbered, deep behind enemy lines with no support, oh and Major Ducos is around so watch out for him"
>Lord Fucksworth insults him for being a poorfag but reluctantly accepts that this is Wellington's best man

For some time now, I've been developing my free game, an RPG/strategy interactive fiction simulator about a Dark Lord/Lady trying to conquer/destroy a fantasy world using intrigue, corruption, dark magic, and brutal military force.

I have already sought and received your help several times, for which I am grateful.

I am planning another major update, focusing primarily on the endgame. Players focused on direct conquest will have new ways to find loot—portals to crazy, Lovecraftian worlds, discovering new lands, and a magical slumber to wait for the rebirth of old enemies/the emergence of new ones (and seeing how the world changes in their absence). For players more interested in the less brutal side of world domination, the options for managing the territories of our empire will be expanded. Will you allow orcs to overrun Dark Elf cities? Will schools focus on training engineers for the army and economy, or on brainwashing them into blind obedience? Furthermore, I'm expanding the Dark Lord's interactions with other characters, including available romances. Of course, new content requires testing, and since, as usual, it's highly non-linear and dependent on player decisions (plus random generation), I can't test every combination myself.

That's why I'm seeking the help of testers.
Here is test version - no need for download, it is playable online in the browser, no need to register or download: https://adeptus7.itch.io/playtesting

Deramon love!
>>
>>97385409
going up to titamon with the lvl 4 is a bait
especially if you are playing dan and kanon which have end of turn attack, you evo into a 5 who on evo trashes and that goes into tita who lets you attack at end of turn with the alliance.
>>
>>97385487
Or Dan+Kanan's end of turn attack can swing with your level 4 and digivolve it up into Titamon. Who cares if I give my opponent 4 extra memory for it if I hit my opponent for 3 checks on turn 2.
>>
>>97385518
then you don't get the alliance if you attack with the 4, it misses timing....

My mom, sister and niece.

>Do you want assistance?
If you feel confident about getting involved in this mess, sure, we do. It is pretty dangerous, all around, while me and Halfie treat it as a joking matter, a powerful, major spirit, perhaps the patron of the caern, somehow manifested into the real world and tried to kill me, only to then send an absurdly empowered wolf after me. And I'm getting a feeling that both of those events weren't even it really trying to kill me, and, instead, some sort of strange game. Meaning, if you annoy the toucan or whatever else may be around, they may not be as playful with you as they are with us. I like you, and don't want you to get burned through getting invovled.
That, and we are technicallly speaking a rogue Tremere chantry, of sorts; not exactly officially traitors, or anything, but we never reconnected with the Pyramid after our sire got eaten, and last time somebody here wanted to play middleman for it, it didn't go well, so... You'd also be associating with the sort of crowd the Camarilla may dislike, if you come here.
That said, any aid rendered will be appreciated and well-compensated.

>>97379665
HalfSeeingEye says you're welcome. The candle she set for Boy Toy's billowing a little under no wind, but not going out, which is a somewhat auspicious sign, far as response from the powers of the caern tends to be.

>>97381054
Hm. There's a certain niche path of Thaumaturgy that permits its practicioner to make a target drunk, effectively. Works just fine on Kindred. Stands to reason you could probably find a Tremere out there who mastered the equivalent of that effect, but for the feeling of eating food, or the pleasure of satiation itself, so he could maybe hit you with it while you do in fact eat something physically? You ever try to look for a Tremere like that, or you just do the standard thing of being sad about not having borger?

We wore our mourning clothes, all black save for Blue Fairy's hanbok, for white is the color of mourning in East Asia. Man of Florida (why did Scarlet give him such a disrespectful nickname?) also wore black and he watched us from a distance. Our two most trusted staff members joined us.

Princess Charming wore the same dark Georgian chokha she had at our last orgy, those were the clothes Boy Toy was supposed to wear at home for a few more days, and she was the last member of House Venus to exchange words with him. Long ago, she confessed to me and Blue Fairy she fantasized about Mother's Beast ravishing her.
The girlfriend of Blue Fairy, she differs from the women of House Venus in a number of ways: she has a deeply tanned skin, she's from Clan Ventrue, she does not like men and she happens to be a masochist in addition to being a sadist. I never dared to ask, but I always believed she had a history of childhood abuse. This was her best opportunity to see her fantasy made real, so she was the closest to Mother Venus.

The box was opened. Man of Florida covered Mercury Lamp's eyes, seized her and threw her inside the Dollhouse, to save her alleged innocence from the impending drama.

Once again, uncle The Devil Wears Me tore his clothes as Mother, me, and Blue Fairy wailed. Mother threw her black mink to me as blood came forth from her tear ducts, nostrils and mouth. The ghouls shamelessly licked the precious vitae off the floor and her face, whose ruined makeup made her look exactly like the Virgin Mary in this picture: >>97378950 but with bloodshot eyes and sharp canines.

Princess Charming executed her plan. She hugged Mamma and was rewarded with a palm strike, because calling it a slap would be reductive. The Ventrue glared at her with the same lust Boy Toy used to look into our eyes when we took turns smacking him, then was thrown to the ground and felt the Beast's shoe on her throat.

Blue Fairy held the Beast so her girlfriend wouldn't be bit...
>>
>>97382382
>>97385681
..meanwhile I had the Beast's hand reach between Princess Charming's legs and wrapped the mink on Mother's shoulders.

The Italian moaned: "Mamma... mamma..." as the Beast fisted her, I couldn't tell if there was more sadness, pain or pleasure in those words.

Eventually me and Blue Fairy decided the fur had flown enough and we separated them, much to her girlfriend's frustration.

Scarlet's reaction to the gift, to discovering the box held the last tears of Boy Toy inside, was something completely different from ours.

The redhead kept looking at it as if she was searching for her lost boyfriend in the vial.

She held it to her chest, spun and posed, transfixed.

As far as I know, Scarlet's understanding of dancing should be limited to headbanging and exactly two classes of Raqs Sharqi, the style of belly dance Mother learned in Egypt and tried to teach her youngest childe.

Welcome to /un0/, an RP thread for playing a World of Darkness/Chronicles of Darkness Hunter. For any OOC questions about WoD/CofD, check the official general. >>97224887

Rules:
>We are acephale. There is no storyteller, we are not a quest.
>This thread is based primarily but not exclusively in the nWoD/CofD game Hunter: the Vigil. However, Vigil is defined by being highly setting agnostic, with a system for creating entirely custom monsters that do not exist in other WoD/CofD games. Thus, you have significant freedom in what you want to play and what you want to hunt. Feel free to play a member of the Society of Leopold, or a member of the Lucifuge hot on the tail of a Lasombra.
>Namefagging is encouraged but by no means mandatory.
>Keep in mind that even highly experienced Hunters typically only have fractured pieces of the puzzle, and every table has their own canon. The night is dark and full of misinformation.
>/un0/ is conceived of as an experimental end to end encrypted program that is very hard to compromise, retains very little data and purges that data regularly. Please play an actual Hunter.
>Spoiler any OOC discussion.

Happy hunting.
Unless this thread somehow takes off like a rocket, this will be the last un0 thread for the foreseeable future. Towards the end of the thread, please give your feedback in regard to these shorter, limited run RP threads.

I've never heard of crack letting a man shrug off three rounds of .308 like it was a BB gun. I know it didn't deflect off the armor, when I was checking the corpse to make certain he was dead I found the holes, my bullets punched clean through his scrap armor.

He's dead now. Chopped the body up and put it in the furnace, full blast. My ancestor once dealt with a man who came back from a bloody mess, but burning the body to a crisp kept him from coming back for good. Not sure if this guy was the same but he's finished.

Wasn't using a handle earlier, will do so now for ease of identifying my posts.
