Previous Thread: >>96962908

The thread to talk about Super Heroes/Villains/Spies/Agents/Rogues be it in spandex or not.

Popular Choices for Games:

>Mutants & Masterminds
Currently the most played one, uses a d20 resolution for everything, has powers building and rules for tactical combat.

>Marvel TSR/ FASERIP
Classic Supers game from the 80s, still has a lot of fans and various retro-clones. Uses a d100 with an universal resolution table to decide the degree of success, has random character generation and abstract rules for powers and combat.

Built a curing chamber while waiting for my printer to arrive. It might look a little crude but I think it beats most of the ones I've seen on youtube, besides the guy who converted an old microwave. I might run a bead of something around the light to seal off leakage where the tote flexes. I can fit a few of these little turntables or maybe a bigger one. I'm sure it can handle more than I can print. Those seams in the lining won't be a problem will they?
>>
I apologize if that diy project doesn't fit the subject of this general but other 3d print threads don't seem to discuss resin much
>>
>>97288538
Really? I've seen a lot of prints where the figure looks like a topographic map. Other times look decent. But I won't have any control over the quality.

I'm looking for someone who sells Wargame Atlantic digital prints and ships internationally, if anyone knows of a good source.

How can you even come back from the WIP being that much ahead of the completed comic, especially when you still need to pump out WIPs to get the Patreon gibs?
>>
>>97288022
You can't really, unless you start uploading the finished pages as separate posts to get paid for them as well. Your only hope is to finish the damn thing.
For an example of how long these things take to get finished, p230's WIP was posted on July 1, 2022.

That's like one page a month.
On one hand, okay. I get it. Some people don't have a huge surplus of time. But one page? A month?
I'm a big fan of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. That's like fucking 40 pages a month, and even that feels like a long time between releases. Even if it *were* good, one page a month is barely even a human frame of reference anymore. The temporal resolution is too limited.
I can't enjoy something this fucking slow, and that's basically the end of it. I wish I could because Outsider is a /tg/ staple, but honestly, there really are tasks that are just too outside of what's reasonable. I cannot be assed to care about one page a month.

This is a second OSRG, seperate from the main osrg thread, where you CAN talk about 2e, retroclones, and any osr content you want.
This is different than the regular osrg as due to rampant trolling from a handful of bad actors, discussion is impossible.

Second anon here, I wanted to but not keen on painting the cherry red and I hate how the flat red looks for them so I guess I have to bear the word I was the one who posted Sindri last thread asking what I can use him as, decided on WBs Esoterist with the 40k Dark Apostle being my Diabolist (on a 32mm base ofc)
>>
>>97288895
>I wanted to but not keen on painting the cherry red
Maybe this wasn't worded right, more like it feels tedious to paint something gold then cover it with transparent red (which shouldnt be too hard i have an airbrush), but if I ever overspill somewhere it should be cherry red I;d have to go with gold, wait for it to dry, and then go over it with transparent red. Maybe I'm just a BITCH but it's an actual worry of mine

So is the digimon or tamer with the highest cost in the field at the moment or you choose between the digimon with the highest cost or the tamer with the highest cost?
>>
>>97288889
just the highest cost thing among digimon and tamers combined.
if the highest is a digimon, its a digimon, if its a tamer, its a tamer, you don't pick.

pretty much you pop their digimon and if you don't you pop their tamer.
except if they have just a lvl 3 on board, such as if you dedigivolved it on the way up, then you can eat the tamer. if multiple things are tied you pick

Let's say your party plays as human colonists on another world. Everything outside your settlement is hostile and wants to kill you, including the indigenous population of humanoid aliens. But there's also potential to win great wealth by discovering new resources to be exploited. What would you do in such a setting? What system would you use to run such a game?

A thread for talking about players doing dumb shit and acting like retards.

>Be me
>Running short campaigns for new groups at the LGS
>Players are all tasked with defending some random hamlet in a backwater province from bandits that are planning to sack it and haul everyone off into slavery
>First group is (rightly) terrified of a fair fight
>Lures the bandits into an ambush by getting help from a neighboring village
>raid their camp after they retreat and destroy the group
>Second group tries brute force
>Roll up on the bandit camp directly and alone
>Talk their way into meeting with the leader when they rushed him
>Catch him offguard
>Are also playing optimized characters
>Slaughter him and his guards and convince half of the bandit group to work for them, rest scatter
>The third group

Considering that a 15 year repair job is described as a miracle, I'm not sure there was much left to rust. There is also an implication that it was a secret of some kind, notwithstanding 2009 material saying the original facility belonged to something called Tamar heavy industries.
>>
>>97288685
Just don't let the primer clog up the details. It can be splotchy as long as the actual primer liquid covers the whole surface. You'll need to put down a proper basecoat for color because the primer layer is going to be extremely ugly and inconsistent. But it'll still do what primer needs to do.
>>
>>97288685
It's gonna be a pain in the ass, but how much of a pain in the ass it will be will depend on how you got it. If it was 3d printed from a filament printer, it'll largely be on the time consuming end of things as you don't have to worry as hard of gettting the large flat panels looking perfectly smooth as layer lines will come through to at least some degree and prevent things from being fully smooth on close examination. Bit of a hard cap on just how far you can push it all, you know.

If you printed a bunch of Resin parts and got them smooth, it's gonna be harder than just the time commitment, because if you don't get them primed smoothly, it'll more heavily hold you back on the painting levels.
>>
>>97288794
Okay, nice. It's a filament print. It didn't come out completely smooth, but I can probably just mod podge and paper clay the really egregious stuff.
>>
>>97288812
Biggest pain in the ass is likely to end up being if you want to do any shading, because you don't really want to use Oils with a Filament print. It's technically not impossible to use them, but they will find the layer lines. Other stuff like Dry Brushing can also find them, but the typical strength of Oils in finding and highlighting little details rapidly transforms into a drawback when you get those layer lines. Especially with generally smooth panels.
