>>97403749>>97403845I've said it before Ill say it again the Lyrans have some of the best mediums in the entire IS. Most successful lances I run are usually 1 assault, 2 mediums, and a light. >>97403845I use the Sentinel 3KB because having a PPC that keeps pace with Wolfhounds and Commandos is valuable and pairs well with both. They do have good heavies, their Thunderbolt is imo the best 3025 heavy and Ive never had one not perform well.

It can’t just be about the money because during the TSR era they shoved all the artists like Brom into one room and made them work for peanuts.
maybe some fa/tv/irgin has the collage: the Dr Who novel artwork went from>terrible-to-great traditional art from the 60s to 1989>THESE monstrosities in the 90s>'we can do 3D now!' abstract renders of cubes in the later 90s/2000s>pure 'minimalism' by the later 2000s (text only, maybe a posterized photo)overall, i'd always take traditional art even when there are a few stinkers. Erol Otus has some bad D&D illustrations. in fact, i think his style doesn't fit D&D very well. but it's also great, and way better than 'perfect' digital art.
>>97402976me on the right.
>>97402926Nah, I think the artist they got to do the latest 5e PHB and DMG is pretty good. Probably because they have a more fantastical art style that evokes older editions while still being digital.
>>97403263> t. young and impressionable
>>97403673I only mean the covers. The PHB one kind of makes me think of the Dungeons and Dragons cartoon.

These are still Wip and basically just dry brushed but im not going to spend crazy time on them other than highlighting and cleaning up+ base but any tips on making the fleshy bits look more fleshy? Or the colours in general? Not sure how i feel about it.

>>97397420That is better.>>97402865Are Gorgs still getting a book? Olms could use a Hero. Lost Men and La Ombre are the other older books, so they could probably use touch ups.>>97403326It seems natural to me that Lost Men's hero would be a copycat hero that lets you use any Colonial hero for cheap but with worse base stats. So, it'd only need those base stats and Faction Traits.
It fucking sucks.Long live V20.That's the thread.

>>97389021>>97390634The thing is, the Storytelling system and its derivatives works well when rolls are only called for when the outcome of a roll is of consequence. That is to say, if someone has enough or too few dots in something, a roll shouldn't be called unless dramatically appropriate.Hunger and its related systems in the other X5 systems work great when it's run as such. However, people like rolling dice. This leads to frenzying becoming more common than probably intended.

>>97403763>Are rush and vortex the only keywords that allow same turn attack?Yes, though Alliance on another Digimon also works in spirit.>And does the card need to be unsuspended to be able to use overclock?Nope, "attack without suspending" means you can make that attack while already suspended. It isn't super intuitive but it is very useful.

>>97403912Of course, any of the keywords that apply to attacks can apply to attacks made with an effect.
I'm a GM looking for three to four players for a house ruled game of warhammer fantasy roleplay. The game is meant to run weekly on Saturdays at 3 p.m (GMT-3) for 3 to 4 hours with small breaks in between. The game will be hosted through Roll20 and dicord vc. You need to have a decent mic and be willing to communicate between sessions to coordinate and sort out game stuff. I don't intend this to be a pay to play game, but if people feel like helping footing the bill for a hosting service we can use Foundry as the VTT.The game takes place in the city of Ubersreik in the year 2512 of the imperial calendar during the occupation by the Reikland state army. If any of this sounds good to you leave your discord tag so I can pm you for further details and a small interview.
>>97403516Brave to advertise on 4chins. I could do that time, but >house ruled gameWhat are the house rules?
>>97403541The game is kind of messy so there is a good amount. The most notable ones are:- Character creation changes so that you spend XP, rather than doing the default advancement allocation minigame. Species skills being ones you choose to add to your career, or gain a discount on advancing them if they are already a part of it.- Melding metacurrencies together so as to not have to track four individual ones, and striping the more niche uses out of the more commonly used Fortune points.- Changes to individual combat Advantage to make it so that it doesn't result in games of rocket tag.Other than that there's things like using optional rules from the official supplements like the Critical Wound tables and Injury rules from Up in Arms, and the improvements to spellcasting from Winds of Magic.
>>97403516>on Saturdays at 3 p.m (GMT-3)Really not my timezone, good luck finding players. WFRP 4e is fun.
>>97403516would love to join but my saturdays have floating dark heresyby the way, is the metacurrency melding tested or are you going to try and see? So far I've been using Fortune and Fate once because GM preferred to take it instead of Resilience when I wanted to use I Will Not Fail. From what I've read I feel like everything except Fate is way too ambiguous to be reliably spent
