It's a resin print by them. I had ordered a box of failed prints that was full of random parts and pieces, and it included the parts of a couple vehicles (this being the only complete one). You can see where one wheel is kinda up off the ground (the frame's a bit warped) and the windshield frame is broken, but it's hidden by the roof. All in all, the quality for a 'failed' print is damn good.

Too bad they ship from Ukraine, which means it's gonna be a long while before I can get more stuff from them here in the US.

I feel like making something, ideally something OSR-adjacent. This is kind of an open-ended question: what RPG supplement or other cool thing does /tg/ want to see? Think something you'd pay between $3 and $5 for.

Trying to hammer out a solid setting/headcanon for a unified Alien/Predator universe. Here's my take on what to keep , what to shitcan and what to add:

>Things to KEEP:
The Queen and the hive from Aliens. Gives the bugs a purpose beyond just being murder-insects.
Diverse Alein lifeforms (e.g., the T. Ocellus from the Alein Earth).
Gritty corporate dystopia. Weyland-Yutani is the real villain. "Truckers in space" aesthetic is mandatory.
The Engineer/Forerunner concept, but ONLY as a way to explain panspermia. It elegantly explains why so many species are biologically compatible (e.g., Facehuggers working on humans and Yautja). It also supports my favorite fan theory: the Yautja didn't invent their advanced technology; they inherited or reverse-engineered it. This explains how a tribal, honor-based society can also have plasma casters and FTL ships.

>Things to discard:
The AvP movie lore. Predators did not build pyramids on Earth.
The Human/Xenomorph Hybrid (looking at you, Newborn): This completely demystifies the Xenomorph for me. The horror of the Alien is its otherness. It's already the ultimate killer because it takes traits from its host—it's already optimized to hunt us. Making it more human just makes it less scary.
The "Magic" Black Goo: As it stands in the prequel films, the goo is a narrative crutch. It can create, it can destroy, it can mutate... it can do whatever the plot needs. I'd either discard it entirely or give it hard, consistent rules.

More alien life in general. The galaxy feels way too empty with just humans, Xenos, and Preds.

I don't even think it's that bad. In Alien, WY is fucking ruthless, but nobody expects them to be that bad. Right up until they see the evidence, they assume that the company wouldn't throw their lives away. It is obviously meant to be a shocking revalation that the crew are expendable. That isn't the attitude of someone living in a cyberpunk-style world. At worst it's equivalent to modern-day where things are pretty bad for a lot of people, but most normies can still tell themselves that society is more-or-less OK. I think it's more likely the intent that for it to be basically 1970-80s America where society as a whole was pretty much OK, with a few fucked-up things going on but well-concealed from the public.
Aliens doesn't seem any worse. Some bureaucrats are dismissive of what sounds like a crazy story, one influential guy is a psychopath, and he can pull some strings to manipulate events. But the marines are basically good people, and everyone seems to expect society to function OK.
In 3 you have a bit of a step towards dystopia. Then the comics (and, to a lesser extent, the novels) go absolutely crazy with shit like the berserker program (40k dreadnaughts with psycho prisoners inside, who get slowly killed by the suit) and the royal jelly (drug which turns people into insane killing machines extracted from aliens, which the military actually wants). Romulus has WY working its employees to death like some kind of third-world operation, and I think that is too far outside of most normal people's experience to really empathise with. Obviously big corporations now can have some employees who are basically fine and some who are pretty much slaves or whose lives are considered worth little, so it isn't unrealistic to mix them up. But it feels more realist to me if 'crew expendable' is a big deal.

How you construct all 3 is different. NPCs use a different statline and wealth by default. Monsters don't use wealth at all, they use treasure rolls, and the abilities they have, number of HD, and stuff like natural armor are all completely arbitrary, which is never the case for an NPC or PC.

1. Hollow's Last Hope is a PF module but for new players it's a good enough entry. Rare disease hits the town and PCs need to gather some ingredients to cure it. If PCs local they also most likely have sick relatives (which is recommended). You get some overland route planning, some monsters that do not sit on each other's heads and some random encounters in the forest. Nothing spectacular but as an entry module solid enough.
2. PF1e is basically same shit from a different angle. They didn't really make anything better. In fact they fucked up some things pretty hard (I'm looking at you split combat feats). So there is no real reason to actually switch. PF2e is aggressively mediocre with a lot of weird design decisions that don't actually make game better, just more tedious. If I want a different fantasy game I'd better switch to WEG d6.
3. I like E6. You would be surprised how much bullshit you can do in just 6 levels. Especially if you allow some Unearthed Arcana stuff. Though even a Fighter 6 with Core+Complete Warrior can outperform siege engines against castles. While unarmed. And a lot of stuff that wouldn't be considered in a full scale game actually works perfectly fine in E6.

There should be between 3 and 7.
2 stats stop being stats, they're just two metres like Health/Mana.
8 and more become hard to remember... unless they're arranged in an easy to get grid, f.e.

Cyberpunk gets away with 10 stats, but three of those aren't used for skill checks (BODY, MOVE, LUCK), and one (EMP) serves mostly as mental health metre rather than a roll bonus.

Attack, Defense, Special Attack, Special Defense, and Speed. The Stats from the games.

4 skills each. Each Stat has a social skill so no one is a complete social retard. I also wanted a knowledge skill for every stat but it was hard to find them. You get two Major Skills depending on the classes you pick, and about four Minor Skills? Minor Skills are 2d6+Modifier and Major Skills are 3d6+Modifiers. Generally? Attack is for physical power and presence. Defense is for physical toughness and ability to survive. Special Attack is your mental power and general intelligence. Special Defense is for empathy and acuity. Speed is for reflexes and quickness of body.

KISS: Keep It Simple Stupid. 4-6 Stats are generally enough if you have a skill system.

If you're gonna do gold spent = XP at least the carousing rules has a stamp of approval. Doubly rewarding players for spending money in ways they'd normally spend it is retarded. Your reward for spending money on a Cure spell is that you get Cured. If players don't level fast enough put out more treasure or lower the XP requirements per level.

They mostly take people in desperate situations and trade off favours. There's mention of long-term arrangements/covenants, where a survivor is invested with power in exchange for a long-term partnership. Going by the cards, they feed on the survivors themselves or receive blood sacrifices in exchange for their support. True. I just like thinking on the details a bit. Given constructing mental defenses is important before moving onto a certain step after the scapes emerged fully. I imagine midna helping with that a little bit of probing testing his mental defenses.

Aether is supposed to be everything the other 4 elements are not.

Kinda makes sense why it doesnt really work as an element anymore, we studied reality more and discovered that Aether was more than just 1 thing. Now we know its got Light and Void and Gravity and Time and whatever else

And that is exactly why Aether doesn't work. If elements are literally elemental, then there can't be a fifth "misc." element that's for a bunch of other stuff, it only tells you your elements aren't complete and those in the bin need to be sorted as well.

NTA but we get what you are saying. I am spoiled with a group that will play almost everything I put in front of them, everyone is extremely good with picking up all the rules from a single teach and play competitively the first time around.
We still say "hey, I'd like to play X next time". If the stars align they all might even learn the rules beforehand (ok that happened exactly once). But the biggest thing is you avoid someone/you taking a bunch if big boxes with you only to hear naaah anon I'm not in the mood for 'german autobahn autism today'. Plus finding what game to play next is far easier that way
