>>97216031warcry is ten thousand times better to play than killteam ever was or ever will be, i cannot believe the slop hogs who keep saying GW needs to make a game worse to keep it around.
>>97217408>i cannot believe the slop hogs who keep saying GW needs to make a game worse to keep it aroundUnfortunately the current KT is doing much better than Warcry ever did sales-wise. It's an extremely sweaty, secondary-focused system based solely on FOMO. 90% KT players I know irl don't even play 40k. In many cases they display a strong anti-hobby approach, lazily proxy whatever is top meta. I will never forget KT drones on /tg/ being unironically mad about people not willing to use their Compendium Loyalist Marines as CSM since CSM teams were superior at that point. Imagine being angry because your opponent prefers to play a weak team he likes, lmao. Many times I heard KT being called "MtG of wargaming" and there is much truth in this description. Since these people don't know any other wargames and have a cult-like mindset they don't even know or want to accept that KT is a poorly written game in the first place. The only thing that matters is there is next to no customization so net-listing is easy and everything is branded slop so they can feel superior by following said brand like mindless corporate golems they are.
>>97217445Yeah, I got the feeling is was toxic dogshit when I heard about them rotating teams out like it's UW tournament play
>>97217220>kneecap compendium unitsWhy? Fuck off with this cuck attitude man, you aren't a shareholder
>>97217445kill team is basically just spearhead with single models. i dont get how ppl in this general are so repulsed by KT while spearhead is universally praised
What's the best version of BRP?I hear that it has pretty quick and lethal combat, and is very much for more grounded games, which is the kind of games I prefer to run. I also really enjoyed the fanmade Fallout PnP system that used percentile dice, and the combat in that. However I am also aware that apparently Chaosium released newer versions that apparently were bad.Which one is good?
>take soulless Primarishit model>insert classic Forge World MkIV SOVL>??????>PROFIT!And the best part is, because the precedent established by Games Workshop Group v. Chapterhouse Studio explicitly protects compatible third-party accessories, there is nothing GW can do about it but cry and exclude them from their subsidized events.
>>97212578That guy is either larping as an oldfag or is an actual retard. With the current state of the internet the way this place works is a relic of the past, generals or not. We either need actually active moderation(won't happen) or a way to filter at least some of the bots and shitposters, like obligatory e-mail verification or something, anything. There's no way to actually ban people because of phones and dynamic IPs. Even creating a throwaway email takes a little bit of effort though which might deter at least some of the garbage
>>97212706I’m thinking retard, because without Generals it would be virtually impossible to have a diverse range of threads as most well intentioned OPs would be blasted straight to page 10. Generals contain trolls and shitposters to only a couple of threads per, rather than fifty.Without /40kg/ for instance, 70% of the OPs on the board would be 40K related and 90% of those would be bad faith, trolling bullshit. So yeah he’s a faggot and a fuckwit and has no idea what he’s,proposing.>t. been on 4chan since 2008

>>97198758The closest I can think of is aligning planes in meshmixer. It works for flat surfaces and autorotates one part so that it sits on the same plane as the other. From then you can manually move them into position.

A while back some anon here gave away the armageddon legion to another anon. Pinched them myself for later and finally made a batch of them. Theres just short of 40 since my printer is acting up. Fucking thing has resin leaking out and even into the walls of the resin tray. Changed out the FPA just to strip some screws fucking hell. Anyway thanks for reading my blog, heres a bunch of militia soldiers.
>>97206661Found this for free “wayfarer-modular-crystal-palace-terrain-tiles-18mm-scale“.The modularity could be good for you to make several crystal parts?
>author adapts his D&D campaign into a well-written, highly-entertaining animated seriesWhy has nobody done this since?
>>97216651What does this mean anon? I've read your post multiple times and I'm just as clueless as I was the first time.
>>97201870It was a lot more than a minor story change to give more prevalence to one guy and changing Uro's character into a hot woman. Basically the entire campaign's premise and all the central aspects of the setting were completely rewritten, with only the PCs and popular snapshots of the campaign (Uro killing the GM's GMPC waifu, Nasu beating Uro through fiat logic the whole table agreed with) remaining.IIRC you can still find a translation of the Red Dragon campaign online and it's pretty much universally agreed that the campaign was a fun romp, but the rewrite into Chaos Dragon sucked so much ass nobody knows how it got greenlit at all.
>>97197459Anon, Lodoss' staying power is purely based on its aesthetics and the cute elf girls. Even back in the day nobody pretended in was a well-written show. It's purely oldfag nostalgia to pretend it's a good show in all aspects just to be elitists, with Ergo Proxy being its sci-fi counterpart.
>>97194772>ow amazing the opening is (in no small part thanks to Maaya SakamotoIt's crazy how good it is. For me, its the dragons.
>>97194301It would be less bad if there were only a few of those books. There doesn't need to be as many as there are. Each one is progressively dumber.
I've been on a space kick recently and want to run a sci-fi space campaign as the GM. What are the best systems for a flexible gaming experience without the autistic complexity of something like Shadowrun? I'm looking for a system that can run "magic" (Psionics, occultists, dark gods, etc) and high-tech weaponry and ships and stuff as well as madness mechanics mutations, cybernetics, horror elements, etc. Visiting weird planets, dealing with intergalactic politics, smuggling goods, assassinations, dealing with alien cultures, learning dangerous magic and technology, etc. I also want the players help make the setting so I'd prefer a flexible system that can handle a multitude of scenarios with cool aliens and stuff. I've heard of Traveler, Starfinder, etc, I just wanna know what system(s) I should focus on learning about first. I'd rather not run it in a Star Wars DnD conversion or Feelings and Lasers. This crowd usually plays DnD or very simple games but are open to other games too. Again I've tried Shadowrun and I'd rather a system that isn't over-complicated and just has the hacking take up 90% of the screentime.
>>97212786Wow okay I found one pretty quick actually ever heard of Stars Without Number?
>>97212838Oops didn't control fDerp, that has indeed already been mentionedUh Savage Worlds maybe could perhaps fit looks solidGonna go wake up a bit then gather art need more Dai, I'll be lurking
This isn't exactly what OP is asking for but base Classic Traveller is super simple mechanically and will handle any scifi level from "present day, present time" up to the level of a few dozen habitable systems spread over a few hundred parsecs.
>>97198206I have a game I'm almost finished with, but its vibes are less grimdark sci-fi, and more Guardians of the Galaxy, or Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets.
>>97198491i can't believe something finally happened in dai dark and i managed to get spoiled. wtf

One day when I was a child, my mom arbitrarily decided that I was too old to be playing with action figures. She rounded up all the toys and made me sell them at a garage sale. Because I had so many though, some managed to escape her sweep.Yesterday I was visiting my brother for our family's Christmas get together and his wife tells me that they stumbled across a bin of old toys. I was shown the bin and recognized them all. The survivors from childhood that escaped the purge. This picture is of a few of those toys, 2 of which are relevant to here. Battletech survived the purge.
>>97217273Hey! Exosquad!
I always read it as>batch all
>>97217319Yeah, I had 2 Exosquad figures as well. Not pictured is the black guy that wears the jump jet battle armor. I had that toy too. Loved the show Exosquad. Showed how you can have a kid's show that's also mature.
>>97217357I also never understood why contractions are bad but combined words like batchall are ok. The clans are stupid like that.
How do you justify a "pest race" like goblins or rat people in your setting? Why wouldn't the dominant species make a concentrated effort to eradicate them if they were a problem?
>>97215103why do redditors love sentences with only one word in them so much?

This is a second OSRG, seperate from the main osrg thread, where you CAN talk about 2e, retroclones, and any osr content you want. This is different than the regular osrg as due to rampant trolling from a handful of bad actors, discussion is impossible.
>>97212693You could get a similar product just by wiping down an Italian.
>>97216067>class-specific XP awardsThat's an optional rule, fishfag. I'm asking about the OFFICIAL rules: Are they good or bad? It's hilarious how you're trying to hijack /osrg/ purportedly to discuss AD&D 2e and then you refuse to discuss it.
>>97215565The Item compendiums are such a weird relic of a different time. They wouldn't just list the item, they'd also say which adventure they came from, for what I can only assume is so that a DM who wanted to implement a particular item could purchase that adventure and have their players stumble upon it, because the idea of just dropping an item into a campaign would be too much of a stretch of the imagination.
>>972142973.0 had tons of content made for it because it was popular, not because thr system was special.
>>97207615Why would anyone design a set of rooms like that.If he just wanted to kill adventurers, he could have made one of the doors impossible to open and not a dumb puzzle. The adventurers would keep trying every possible way to open the door and just end up dead.
