>>97231842You presume to know what Grandfather Thunder looks favorably upon, whelp? You, who is ignorant actual power? Since I'm feeling rather generous, I will enlighten you instead of simply beating you. If a supposed warrior of Gaia was to be bested by a simple dose of poison, would it not be better for it to happen during a time of peace, where such a loss would be inconsequential? Or would you prefer he show his weakness in the field of battle, in a crucial position to lead to an even greater loss of lives? And should he fall in battle, what then? His fetish falls into the enemies's hands, or tentacles, or whatever the fuck those wyrm spawn have. So obviously his fetish would be saferi n the hands of a more capable Garou, wouldn't you agree? This is all, of course, hypothetical. Just as it is hypothetical that someone might hire a hitman armed with, say, silver weaponary to ambush a certain Garou with a certain Fetish? You'd be surprised how crafty they are, those servants of the Wyrm. You'd also be surpised how much plausible deniability they provide. But hey, if he fell to a human, wouldn't that also prove his unworthiness of possessing that Fetish?
>>97227454Why do you lie? The whole Stolen Moons thing is exclusively gWoD. It is perfectly reasonable to assume that all the other retarded shit was references to the same garbage. From the waist up, it possesses a humanoid torso, arms, and head, but this is a facade of unsettling grace. Its skin shimmers with impossible, shifting aquatic hues—iridescent blues that melt into abyssal violet, greens that flash with metallic gold, and faint bioluminescent patterns that drift across its form independent of the light. Long, fluid hair flows around its head as if perpetually submerged, often braided with pearls and planar sea-glass.Its lower body is a flowing mass of six powerful, octopus-like tentacles, their undersides lined with subtle suckers. In moments of peace or curiosity, its eyes hold the shifting, fathomless colors of a deep ocean. Its hands are webbed, with fingers that seem almost delicate. But this placid state is a mask. When threatened or angered, a frightening transformation occurs: its eyes pool into voids of solid black, its fingers split to reveal sharp, retractable claws of horn-like material, and its mouth distends to uncover a hard, parrot-like beak capable of shearing metal. This shift reveals the creature's true, alien nature—beautiful not in a conventional sense, but in the way a deep-sea anglerfish or a gossamer jellyfish is beautiful: fascinating, elegant, and utterly, primally horrifying in its complete otherness. It is a creature of dual impressions: from a distance, a mesmerizing figure of planar myth; up close, an unsettling amalgam that whispers of the silent, predatory vastness of the deep."keep the thread alive

Previous thread: >>97111514GURPS is a modular, adaptable system, capable of running a wide range of characters, settings, and play styles, with a level of detail varying from lightweight to completely autistic.Optional rules allow you to emulate different genres with a single system, or even switch genres within a single game.A nearly complete archive of GURPS books can be found by using the image. Never post direct links to the archive anywhere in plain text.If you're wondering where to start:- The Basic Set covers everything, including a lot of optional rules you probably won't use.- A genre guide can be found in the archive, under Unofficial/GURPSgen. It tells you what extra books and articles you may find useful for many common genres.- How To Be a GURPS GM is a good read even for players.- GCS (gurpscharactersheet.com) is an excellent character-builder software, with page references to all the books and the option to export to both Foundry and Fantasy Grounds.Thread question: How often do you use an official GURPS setting? Which are your favorites?

>>97221505>nobody takes SwimmingUnfortunately, 99.99% to 100% of every game is on solid land, so the moment water pops up, might as well be lava since no one is geared for it. Naturally, if it was advertised beforehand that there was gonna be water sections, that's the player's fault for sure
>>97234263I make a list of recommended skills. Swimming is on that list. I have had water come up in multiple campaigns. Usually in the form of islands, but one time even had them approach an oil rig via underwater sled. Despite this less than a quarter of my players have ever taken swimming.

To preface, I'm an MTG veteran. My first Precon was Coven Counters in 2021 and I've been an EDH player ever since. After years of playing, I think the WUBRG elemental may just do me in. Gimmick synergy, tribal, a real throw in anything somewhat related type of commander potential. It also has the most forced WUBRG ability to date: being able to pay WUBRG in order to keep an Elemental you Evoked is utter bullshit. It completely defeats the purpose of Evoke and is just a continuation of "drop a set, put whatever you want under 1 commander."I hate it, you hate it, and it's just a slap in the face of previous WUBRG Legendaries that tried to be something more than tribal or gimmick synergy, or just cram some WUBRG ability in last second, such as [[Atogatog]] [[General Tazri]] [[Golos, Tireless Pilgrim]] [[Jodah, the Unifier]] [[Jenson Carthalion, Druid Exile]] [[Morophon, the Boundless]] [[Najeela, Blade Blossom]] and [[Ramos, Dragon Engine]] . And I'm missing a shitton of other WUBRG Legendaries that could be Commanders. But let's look at the new WUBRG Legendaries that could be Commanders (hint: they're all tribal, gimmick synergy, or cram in a WUBRG ability last second): [[Avatar Aang]] [[Cosmic Spider-Man]] [[Hei Bai, Forest Guardian]] [[Heroes in a Half Shell]] and [[Infinite Guideline Station]] .As long as WotC keeps dropping cards like [[Horde of Notions]] , MTG will die very soon and for real this time.
It took you this long to notice? Weren't all the "do thing again" cards in the last years not obvious enough?

I feel like this edition has alot of objectively bad things about it and is absolutely where the alot of worst qualities of current editions showed up. But I feel like I prefer playing this edition compared to a lot of previous editions and 10th edition. Everyone I know who watches Fatt Coville videos is a fucking terrible GM. I've never fully watched one and I am widely considered the best GM out of all 3 groups I'm part of. I am regularly requested to run campaigns. People borderline fall asleep in the games others run. There's also no tension because they know that these Coville acolytes will fudge rolls until all PCs survive the battle. If you're a good GM, it's an inmate talent you can hone over time. You're born that way. If you aren't, then no amount of shitty advice is going to make up for your lack of talent. It just is what it is. This idea that everyone should "try" DMing is retarded. The idea that anyone can be good at it? lolno. Its like some fat divorced on who suddenly decides he's gonna become a famous author. Fat chance. Most people fucking suck at GMing. So all those shitty FDM prints I have seen in the past are just people rushing their printing? I bought an A1 Mini a week ago with a .2 nozzle and the quality is quite decent but scenery printed with the stock .4 nozzle is simply stellar. Printing a 12cm tall statue took me 5 hours and print lines are almost invisible. My settings are literally a hotchpotch of random tips and tricks from r*ddit so I can only imagine the quality you can achieve with a proper setup. Resin printing remains superior when it comes to printing minis but I don't see myself buying terrain ever again for a reason other than unique design.

>>97233399It printed fine for me when I had one, and the software side has gotten so good that they should print now better than they ever did.But they have a rather rough 50 micron screen, so anti alias is probably a must and so it will not reach quite the details that most newer machines can get easily.Thing is, I do not know if that one supported wait time before printing or if you had to use a workaround. Waiting for the plate to settle against the pressure of the resin is something that only became widely used after some generations and helps loads with printing.
