Those are some very nice rats. I especially like the face on the second from the left guy, and the middle guy's shield
>>
>>97216901
I got a bunch of these guys for cheap. I'm toying with the idea of making them plague monks or at least pestilens clanrats as they look a lot more rotten and feral than the older clanrats.

>>97216958
i imagine you could proxy them pretty easy as pestilens, only problem is that the newer clanrats are monopose so there's only so much customization you can do. i do love the previous clanrats because of the customization and frankly i like how stout and goofy they are (also they're faster to paint because of the less detail)
the big question is if the rumors about eshin models getting updated are true because some of those models are reaching eldar levels of old

I probably haven't played enough badly designed solo games.
I might be wrong, but do you base your opinion on his solo modes on Imperial? I haven't played it, but I heard that one's pretty good if not the best way to play.
His solo modes in Davins journey, bitoku and Cerebria were the exact kinds of solo modes noone needs; bloated messes in which a solo game feels like 80% bot admin/deciphering subpar iconography and 20% actual play. I think the blitzkrieg one was better but I can't fully remember. I also thought the barrage one was by him until now but apparently not
>>97215445
Eh, fair enough.
>>
>>97215548
Well good to know to AVOID the copy of Bitoku that's on clearance for a possible solitaire game. So far Concordia and Castles of Burgundy special edition have the best solo modes I've used: Your moves directly affect the bot, very little overhead, and a good challenge you can't just trivialize.
>>
>>97216385
I'd generally recommend staying away from bitoku tbqh. It has a great table presence and looks good, but is super fiddly, annoying to setup, very limited interaction. One of the euros that try very hard to obfuscate the fact that every action has an EV of like 1-3 vp, and even the more (mildly) exciting things you can do like buy cards follow that design. I hate it when games do that, give you an illusion of a huge palette of choices that at the end of the day aren't all that different from each other

You know, ever since vicemayor Mallus Plagus took the mandate and conscripted all residents to erect the massive spire in place of the city hall, I've been thinking he doesn't have our best interest at heart.
I mean, strongarming the coroner to destroy the autopsy report for the dessicated corpse of our old mayor was kind of a dick move, and after this story got published, all the media people got to be awfully quiet on that front.
The horrible nightmares didn't let me sleep, but fortunately, HR noticed that it wasn't just me, and we have 30 minutes sleeping breaks at the office to increase productivity.

I knew 5efag were mentally handicapped but this goes beyond the pale.
>>
>>97204491
Everything went to shit without Gygax.
>>
>>97216897
Easy to see how it happens. One, they keep stating that the rules are backwards compatible. Two, if you are just surface level searching for resources, pretty much everything you find nowadays without digging is going to be for 2024. If you don't know any better, then you're not going to know to specify which version. And judging by how that post is worded, the groups he is referring to are not people who know each other well enough to talk about it. So when players show up to the session with characters from all over the place, they just shrug and play on without trying to sort it out because it would be awkward
>>
>>97216940
I get how it could happen but i was lamenting about a more broad "why?". I lived in the 3.0/3.5e/pf1e shift era (so without the same widespread internet resources about the game as today, comparatively speaking), in that case the system differences are even less than 5e-5.5e but even then it was apparent (with all the people i knew who run the game) that you could cursory introduce different versions content as long as it wasn't system optimized and even then with a modicum of review and only from the DM side. Allowing a player to use a 3.0e build in a 3.5e game was considered inconceivable, the bonus stacking difference alone was glaring like the fucking sun. The absolute lack of system (baseline) knowledge 5efags have is terrifying.
>>
>>97213382
Yeah, but one person dickriding a system on /TG/ doesn't mean everyone likes it. Hell, the only thing I need to point out and did is sales for ONE DND. As well as many people who are still bothering to make 3rd party content for DND tend to stick with 5e over 5.5/ONE.
>>97213674
....... Found the woke DND dickrider. Why don't you go back to Bluesky and bitch and moan over there. No one cares about your shit system

no fancy lighting or anything, but here's what I've painted so far. I don't intend to paint any more of what I have until I go back over these a second time to get them to a higher level. Add eyes and fix faces, fix hair, make shadowing consistent, etc.

I'm glad you like my painting, but to be honest it's very technically simple. 90% of what I do is either drybrushing or washing, no wet blending or anything like that.

You can actually see in the Morgan picture you linked that she has no eyes and I never finished her shoes. Also, the paint cracked on her leg which will have to be fixed.

Maybe base the campaign on this excellent Dalek web cartoon series about a Black Dalek rebelling against the Gold Dalek? http://www.cg-lair.co.uk/daleks/secemp00.htm

I introduce people with whatever game I’m currently playing. It’s more important they integrate themselves into a group. 5e encourages shitty habits and is woke as shit. Last time I had a new player join it was WFRPG which worked well as they very quickly learned FAFO.
>>
>>97206152
I actually agree.
Make players struggle to put together characters and wrap their heads around clunky 5e combat. Have fun for 3-5 levels, become painfully bored after that and at level 10 you show up and say “so look; I’m sorry to put you through this but you had to learn how to play with a less than satisfactory game so you have a good base of experience moving forward and can appreciate some better options. Like public school.”

5e is actually a great introductory game if the person running it is aware that it hits the perfect sweet spot of “playable, but unsatisfying”
>>
>>97216434
>5e is actually a great introductory game if the person running it is aware that it hits the perfect sweet spot of “playable, but unsatisfying”
It's a terrible introductory game because it does not explain itself or how to run it effectively. Stop saying this retarded shit because all you're going to do is create more retarded players.
>BUT THE RULES DON'T MATTER
