I love mecha (and tanks, and hover tanks, and power armor, and... wel, you get it) but I've never seen a dedicated mecha system that worked well. However, there are a few scifi systems that take on mecha pretty well.
Traveller I think does it the best. CT didn't explicitly have mecha rules but it was easy enough to use vehicle rules and extrapolate. The elegant thing it did was that the larger the size difference was between to the easier it was to target the larger and the harder it was to target the smaller. Fan made mecha accessory books for traveller have been made for a long time. (I even heard from a source I believe that Battletech started out as a Traveller homebrew.)
The WEG Star Wars had walkers and even expanded them. Lets be honest, a paint job and some new plots and Star Wars could easily be a mecha anime. As it is, it's the most popular unsupported TTRPG and for good reason. A little work and you got yourself a banger space opera with mecha.
A new kid on the block but one I love is Black Star. It has a third party mecha book called Mecha Star that's been well loved at my table.I'm sure there's similar things with other scifi games but that's where I'd point you first.

Yeah I think it gets completely blown out of the water by Accursed Wretch. Almost the exact same drawback, as I don't think people would spec into two curses since getting a huge vulnerability from a field that you didn't have before is much greater than upgrading that vulnerability to be devastating, and you get an Affinity in a Rare Discipline so your growth is way faster and in a section with Disciplines that offer a huge variety of skills in each one.

After taking a look at this it really can hit that 'Small Town Hero' sort of 'power level'. Really cozy.

The idea behind the build is that of a down on his luck vagabond that usually makes as a guide, messenger, scout or otherwise lives off the land. Spent a prolonged amount of time around the Shire where he met the Hobbits and ended up meeting Eadria and Dia for work in a tavern one night after hearing that they were looking for someone to that knew the land.

GURPS is a modular, adaptable system, capable of running a wide range of characters, settings, and play styles, with a level of detail varying from lightweight to completely autistic.

I feel like reach isn't all that important. How you use it and how the terrain is set up can favor you, if there's things like rough ground, elevation or blockers like a waist high wall. But in a one on one duel on otherwise good ground, your opponent has no real reason to respect your reach and can freely use a move to bypass your weapon and putting you on the backfoot.

You'd be surprised just how big Europe is, all things considered. These days with vehicles and highways it feels a lot smaller but consider that Greece and the Western half of modern Turkey were large enough to fit an entire playground of mythic lore into. It kind of runs contrary to what most people think is intuitive, but I actually prefer to lean smaller where most people assume that bigger is naturally better. Although there is a reason for that since it's much easier to just ignore space in your world that you don't need yet than trying to shove more space into an already established setting.
Another awkward snag is that it's difficult to justify and make feel natural smaller worlds that have a bunch of varied biomes, like how exactly is the tropical rainforest so nearby to the desert which is close to green hills land which is next to ice mountain, and so on. But honestly if you just handwave it with "its magic" or maybe there's some elemental god that resides in each region then it can be ignored or another interesting angle of the world to explore.

I think Trazyn's irreverent, Deadpool-esque personality works perfectly in the context of what he is. People hate him for being immersion-breaking and fucking up the tone of the setting, but given that as one of the few high-level Necrons who's still more or less in complete possession of all his faculties, he's so powerful he can actually afford not to take things seriously. Him and the Orks both work as comic relief from different angles. The orks because they're so absurdly violent that they're perfectly adapted to a hostile universe, Trazyn because he's so absurdly powerful that the universe is profoundly inadequate to him.

Completely wrong.
Genestealers work as the vanguard to the Tyranids perfectly. The actual problem is that the Nids have no long term plans for experienced and successful infiltrators, and instead eat them; meanwhile the least successful but still mildly competent genestealer cults survive because they don't call down a Hive Fleet to get eaten and instead fuck off to start the cult anew where they'll likely be unsuccessful yet again.
Tyranids should let the cult take a ship, slap them on the ass, and they go their separate ways. Not for sentimental reasons or to reward loyalty, but to reward success and keep a strong cult around.

Itt we help each other find a system that fits given setting.

Aberrant is neither tied to the WoD nor particularly low-powered; individual characters can be, but the game scales. Aberrant also takes place in the near future.

Having looked into the setting, I would use something flexible, like OVA, Prowlers & Paragons, or Mythic d6. Based on the gameplay I watched, I think something like Fabula Ultima might work.

BTW, someone looking for low-powered supers should check out Dark Times or Watchdogs of Killcade

By default, they have to slay a creature and drink its “Heart’s blood” at the end of a ritualistic hunt. There are Knacks and Charms they can learn to modify these requirements. Off the top of my head, I know there’s one that lets you temporarily take the form of a creature just by tasting any of its blood. And another one that lets you gain a form by having sex with the person.
