Sons of Behamat hands down
>how to fix it
I'm not sure if you could really fix it at a mechanical level, but at the very least they need to update that sculpt, its so shitty looking. If the normal gargants didn't look like such shit people would actually want to take them. Maybe turn them into cyclops's or something

If they remade the Gargants to be more posable it'd be interesting. Cut the arms and legs at the joints and include like, 2 joint options for the knees and elbow at different angles to enable different poses.

how many races is too many?

also is there even a point in having them if they all look the same or just way too simular?
also half races are they even needed? (mostly just half humans lol)

i will say: 10 races is good number, if races are just humans but x dif. then no they're not fucking needed and are just tolkien slop. also half races would be fine if it wasnt just half human half x race all the time.

>It's scalemail armor not a scaled hide
>AD&D1e
Description: The hide of kobolds runs from very dark rusty brown to a rusty black. They have no hair. Their eyes are reddish and their small horns are tan to white. They favor red or orange garb. Kobolds live for up to 135 years.

If 200 or more kobolds are encountered in their lair, there will be the following additional creatures there: 5-20 guards (as bodyguards above), females equal to 50% of the total number, young equal to 10% of the total number, and 30-300 eggs.
>30-300 eggs.
These are lizards/dragons/monotremes. Not dogs.

Also, how do you explain the scales on their faces, hands, feet, lower legs, and such? It cannot be scalemail.

Vampires aren't really responsible for more than their curse really it was all Caine and the antediluvians. Mages also did nothing wrong

>Vampires
>not responsible for more than their curse

Which makes the world an unquestionably shittier place. The setting continually belabors that the Kindred are a substantial net negative on the world around them. It's not just that their forebears broke the world, they continually squat in place of anything that would make it better. The terrible shit that other games' protagonists did are things that Kindred keep doing.

>Mages did nothing wrong

As a start, let's talk about the Himalayan Wars.

>>96735074
Only because they end up spending massive amounts of time inactive. And even then, the Spell of Life gave rise to the version that creates Bane Mummies.

>>96735071
You should see the drama of Changeling. The fae of the Dark Ages started weaponizing baptisms and other religious rites against each other until they broke the Dreaming. And then they continue to drive the commoner vs noble divide.

Exalted question: Lunars should be able to use any biological-based abilities of a form they take, right? Say Kryptonians/Viltrumites/Ben 10 Aliens/Marvel mutants.
>>
>>96735164
this may be a stupid question but file it under I genuinely don't know. In order to gain a form don't Lunars have to consume the heart of the creature in question? I don't know if this is true or not.
>>
>>96735182
By default, they have to slay a creature and drink its “Heart’s blood” at the end of a ritualistic hunt. There are Knacks and Charms they can learn to modify these requirements. Off the top of my head, I know there’s one that lets you temporarily take the form of a creature just by tasting any of its blood. And another one that lets you gain a form by having sex with the person.

The entire 5e group my old schoolmate set up after he came back from Uni.

Infested with 'em.

We played curse of Strahd; Strahd appeared on a rooftop twirling his cloak dramatically; in character, my terminally uncouth four-foot tall Gnomish barbarian yelled up "Stop playing with your wee cape, you faggot, come down here and fight us!"

The whole table froze as if they'd never heard a swear word before.

Absolute melts.

Got through Strahd and Chult with those sad fucks, and it was a chore the whole way, but I did it for my mate.

I tapped out when he let his actual self-declared Marxist roommate run that god-awful book of micro-adventures though.

They are *still* doing that two weeks later? We've had multiple tournaments where Vanquish Soul decks have still been performing as seen in >>96704523. And that's putting aside how wide the formats showing itself in other tournaments like pic related.

Hell, VSK9 was still hitting Top 16 at Anaheim! It's still competitive with the hits if they want to play it, and because of VS's Genesys tops, they could easily split the deck into a VS one for Genesys and K9 Crystron for advanced and easily preserve the money they have spent.
>>
>>96734273
Are your local VSK9 players just retarded or something? They don't need Rock in order to dominate in Genesys.
>>
>>96734381
all the guys playing that deck are the usual sweatlords (ie the guys whose favorite deck is the strongest one, until it gets shat on by the banlist, at which point they sell it to buy the newest one), so i guess they're still mad about getting their deck gutted so soon
i'm not sure why they want full power mirror matches 24/7 though
>>96734389
it matters because these genesis tournaments are comprised of those 12 k9 vs players and 2 other guys on punk and exosister

>>96735180

It's finally here!

>what is curseborne?
Curseborne is the newest Onyx Path Publishing TTRPG on dark urban fantasy genre. It's about being unapologetic monsters in a world where being monstrous is the least of your worries. In Curseborne, you play as Accursed, descendants of monstrous Lineages lurking in a modern world that closely resembles our own. You rebel against the ancient feuds between these entwined families, as well as against the web of curses that bind you, while fending off inhuman antagonists
seeking to claim — or reclaim — your power.

For the PCs. Moths being drawn to lights is reflective of the game having a hopeful bent to it. Moths themselves undergo metamorphosis from a caterpillar which is similarly true of the Accused's metamorphosis via their Damnaition. Accursed are also disruptive by nature and the wider metaphor of curses are that they're connected in a tangled web of threads. Much like how a moth will gnaw through fabrics, the Accursed break those connections.

As for that idea I'm glad that's not where they're going. Not everything needs to be dialled up to 11.I don't think anyone is benefitted by writers smashing you over the head with a metaphor non-stop. Especially when it's just for a logo.

>>96734952
Bro they dialed curse up to 13 & tore the knob off. They could have leaned into moths by a fraction just to give curse some breathing room
>>
>>96735125
You example is just doing more moths and more curses though. Curses being the magic system is fine. VtM does blood, WtA does spirits, it's all the same deal to me on that front. I don't think they need another thing to cram another thing link that in.

Oh, I strongly prefer success-based dice pool, namely the Year Zero Engine one with my homebrew. It works like Genesys, even better. BUT it has like twice as less design space due to low numbers. When you want a game with constant level ups, adding +1 to one or the other stat, or item upgrading like in video game with +1s, when you additionally use d4-d12 to represent different equipment, it is better when your system is based around d20. As for swingy binary outcomes, you can rule that the check failure is partial success and make 2-3 rolls for resolution of non-combat checks.
>>

Working on a system/world where the players are robots. All his bodyparts and programs are under the line the class and levels normal RPG have.
I put in some megacity in roman build style and some mytic psionic in and hope i have a system that play quick even against more then 5 enemys.

All based on D6 plus whatever bonus you can get.
What to fire/hit something? 1D6+your sensors vs the targets cloak to hit. then damage vs armor and if the structure points of your body reach zero your body parts can and will fly off a brocken junk. But all the same for the enemy.
Hacking goes with dice in pair, want to hack a CCTV? get a bigger pair together then your enemy. If there is a firewall it get harder and if you have more time (aktions) or a program it becomes easyer.
Rule of cool is the major idea.
example: the caterpillar tracks are "legs" but how would a organic version of this look like? easy: could be a snake or snail body.
Speaking of robot parts: There are currently 6 overarching types of robots (and there bodyparts) to mix and match.
Android: human shaped robotparts
Mecha: Bulky armord part
Drone: light weight skinny/bony parts
Chimera: the biohorror and mutant part of my system. It has its own DNA mutation system but does also suffer from alot more problems then normal robots
Nanites: gray goo that can reshape itself or mimic stuff.

I just don't like rolling a ton of dice. Its just a hassle and slows down the game.
>>
>>96729989
Ok, I see your point here, and let me verify if I understand correctly. If I put the faction bonuses on a separate layer, they become harder to balance vis a vis the purchase of parts. Basically by making faction bonuses purchasable I establish a baseline against which weaker and stronger parts can be measured. I want to follow up to this question and ask: what would happen if instead I made it so that respecting restrictions gives you more or less "special faction points" that you can spend for faction bonuses? This way even if you respect the restrictions you don't get an overwhelming advantage vs. an opponent that is using parts from multiple manufactures.

Also the game is currently being played in person and I can promise you, you are not interested in checking it out. It is very much still shit.

critique my d6 combat system please and thank you.
you add up two out of five attributes, depending on what weapon youre using.
ex. strength and agility.
that number determines what target number you need to hit.
you then select a number of dice from a pool that you want to use for attack.
successes are counted as hits.
damage is calculated as the damage of the weapon + the two used attributes and subtract from that the targets armor.

this would basically be the baseline for melee combat, without any other modifiers.
is there potential or do i need to start over?

What an incredibly boring thread, and why is there two threads about gods up at the same time?

Relating to >>96694198's question, how does the Pantheon of Discord from Doctor Who rate, both as a whole and individually? From Sutekh the God of Death to Lux Imperator, the God of Light, they're not all things that one would associate with Chaos, like Music or Games.

explain how you can blame a failure of communication on multiple listeners who all got the same impression instead of the single speaker who created the wrong impression in everyone

>explain how you can blame a failure of communication on multiple listeners who all got the same impression instead of the single speaker who created the wrong impression in everyone
Because the speaker did enough due diligence on his part to communicate the thing, and it is EXCEPTIONALLY common for multiple people to be retarded all at once despite overwhelming evidence otherwise: Pic related.

Explain how your view of social cohesion does not naturally conflict with maintaining integrity in a game and/or game world, especially when the players do something that winds up with them unhappy due to them missing clues?

You gave them incentive to kill the baby
You didn't give them any reason not to kill the baby
Nor did their actions have any real consequences

The objective of the speaker is to be understood, any failure on that result is his responsibility, the receiver can ask for clarification, but is the speaker the one responsable for using the proper tools to make his message clear.

The objective of the listener is to understand, and failure on that result is his responsibility. The sender can ask for confirmation, but the listener is the one responsible for using the proper tools to make the message clear.
