To add to this, just the lore that's been written is being used, not the old (and also incomplete) game rules that've been recovered.
The new game runs on the Year Zero Engine because it's fairly rules light and narrative focused, and also already has light resource gathering/management and survival game elements in place since that's also part of the esthetic of the setting.

One of the major criticisms the thread share is that there isn't really any established conflict in the setting or any kind of overarching threat. There were multiple suggestions, and i kind of wanna see what i can fit in the book.

You ever feel that some players have a weird obsession with - basically - upending a setting's status quo and otherwise making 'big changes'? I'm not sure I'm phrasing it correctly, but let me give it an example.
The party's Warlock really, really resents being under a pact and really resents the Gods. He feels that they're all tyrants and shouldn't be worshipped.
As the party's Cleric, and a devout Cleric, I think I annoy the shit out of him just by actually LIKING the Gods and the current system. Which can't be changed anyway, because it's fundamental to how the game is played.
It's like they're projecting some kind of iconoclastic tendencies onto the campaign world, even when it's explicitly not Christian morality.
I'm playing to have adventures in the setting, not change it drastically.

If that's the case then don't pose the thread as questioning anyone who generically has his worldview IC, it's kinda misleading. If the player's antics keep you from the part you like about the game then sure, not engaging is the quickest way to end it and get back on track, but he can likewise pose himself against parts he doesn't like (like helping gods, even the good ones). Without more specific info I can't give much more input than this, I just find it weird if it keeps happening repeatedly, as a GM I would make whatever bullshit reasons to keep the game moving if a player interrupted too much because of ideology (unless it played in an interesting way into the game's plot).
If he's consistent with his hatred of outer entities then not healing him is a good call, though as a GM I'd pay attention to it if you were breaking your god's ideals by doing it.
Maybe give me further context, storytime even, as of now I can't say he's wrong and you're right.

current state of the game is shit, but 5e in itself is not a bad system, just needs to be polished. it heavyly rely on homebrew/community stuff to have good and more content but also that's it main strenght. there's so many players and so much content about it, so many groups available and willing to teach each other how to play, one can learn to play by social osmosis, but it's not even near to being one of the easiest games and it's also one of the most expensive if you want to DM and have an experience above "whiteboard marker on a grided plastic sheet and paper minis"

I think buses are edge case mostly because there's a fairly wide range in what would be considered a bus. London's double deckers like picrel I'd lean more towards a manse, and most other kinds of bus with multiple compartments I'd probably think the same. On the other hand, I could see an argument for the Magic School Bus with a pretty straightforward power and idea of what it can do leaning more towards being an artifact.

Not necessarily even all magical buildings - if you have, like, a seed of green jade that'll sprout into a comfy hut when planted, with the hut then withering to nothing and leaving behind only that same seed when you tap a specific part of it, well, that sounds like an Artifact to me.
