Enuncia isn't psychic powers just like webway travel or Necron teleportation isn't warp travel. Or like how psychic powers and sorcery overlap a lot but aren't the same thing.

Non psykers like Zygmunt Molotch can use it. They're primordial instruments of power, probably either used or created by the Old Ones. As a concept, it widens the scope of where "power" can come from in the 40k universe, which ends up adding layers and mystery to the setting.

> I don't think 'alakazam' and 'open sesame' and 'expecto patronum' fit the idea that psykers are all one mental slip away from becoming demonic onaholes or enslaver gates.
You really strike me as someone who only reads the wikis and watches youtube videos instead of reading Dan Abnett's sublime wordsmithing. In "The Magos", chaos followers put people through absolute hell via Enuncia for some cryptic greater purpose, eventually ending up with one of their own volunteers getting possessed by a greater daemon of Nurgle. The Ravenor series also subjects a lot of innocent civilian bureaucrats to grisly ends involving Enuncia exposure.

"Enuncia isn't grimdark enough" is a completely inaccurate take.

Go over what we know about them. They're known as witch-hunters, they make heavy use of Sororitas forces, they're EXTREMELY into the whole 'cleanse and purify' thing, and they were formed as a direct response to Goge Vandire as a check on the power of the Ecclesiarchy. They are primarily focused on internal threats, and the primary such threats are listed as treason, mutation, heresy, and witches, in that order.
A Planetary Governor is gearing up to secede? Treason, go through his cronies with a fine-toothed comb and figure out why, then kill the bastard. The population of a planet are showing some concerning genetic drift centered around a specific location? Mutation, figure out what's causing it and put an end to the probable xenotech or chaotic aritfact at its root. A Cardinal's preaching is growing concerningly deviant from orthodoxy? Heresy, probably. Find out what he intends to cause with his sermons, look into what triggered this deviation, prevent another Vraks. Rogue psyker? Witch, find out how they got loose and what they've been up to.
>>
>>97831847
That sounds a lot like how magic works in Fantasy, but there it's unarguably warp based (in that it commands ambient warp stuff to perform the magic), arguable if it would translate to how psykers work though.
>>

"rogue" is not a power level. They are decks that see fleeting tournament representation. If you want to build a rogue deck, look up rogue decks.

If you really want either blue eyes or charmers go with blue eyes and get primite reprints
Tbh there are other rogue decks in a similar price range that are x1000 times better than both of those, but you'd have to hunt the singles (or get them online)

>I want to buy three copies.
I wouldn't recomend that, you'll get a lot of useless bulk, just get 1 of them and the singles you need to complete the deck

Fuck off, queer. It's important to make that distinction so that you don't have people calling shit like Prediction Princess or Abyss Actor "rogue" when they actually mean "casual".

Been thinking a lot about this

>So the warp, as the realm of souls, originally was a creation of the old ones as a weapon against the necrontyr in the war of heaven. It allowed not only a means for the Aeldari and Krorks to use psychic powers, but also cheat death and allow them to respawn infinitely.
>But after the war in heaven the warp is destabilized due to the negative emotions, death, and general usage. There's no more old ones to fix it either.
>Now the "warp" sends those same negative emotions at the Aeldari who in turn start going crazy. They start doing their murder orgies, but it's not really fair to blame them as they are influenced by the warp. The same thing is known to happen to human psykers as well. The warp make psykers, especially untrained ones, crazy and emotional. In long terms it uses them to gain more power and access to realspace. REMEMBER THIS.
>This creates a feedback loop where the the negative emotions make the mortals crazy and in turn have the negative emotions to fuel the warp. Ultimately resulting in slaanesh. khorne nurgle and tzeentch are likely started in the war in heaven, but finished during humanity's early era when human psykers start showing up.

Con
>>
I bring all of this up because when you factor in the Emperor's ultimate plan of "unlocking humanity's psychic potential" Holy fuck no! Being a psyker has obvious strengths, but apparently not so obvious weaknesses. Making all of humanity psykers is going to stir the warp up and drive the populace insane. It doesn't help that this same guy is also
>culling his own kind for not agreeing with him.
>making bargains with the same force he's supposed to be against.
>giving radio silence to anyone about the warp. The ONE thing that might at least stave back the side effects of warp usage. Craftworlders have mental training and disciplined lifestyles and they're some of the best psykers (though it's not a foolproof strategy) Bare minimum start killing anyone caught using the warp (Ironically the inquisition that everyone hates is better at ruling the imperium than the fucking emperor.)

NO!
Instead of doing anything to actually fight chaos, he kills a bunch of humans for calling him a faggot, kills a bunch of aliens, and then fucks off to work on a webway portal. Y'know that thing that was broken and contaminated by deamons when the Aeldari fell? To avoid the deamons encountered in warptravel?

When does this make sense? When does his actions actually benefit humanity that's not himself? People chalk this up to "Daddy issues", but there wasn't a need for primarchs in the first place! You didn't need super-generals for what the great crusade accomplished. There was no need to go that fast besides the obvious advantage of your enemies have it hard strategizing against you.

Even without Erebus, Horus, Lorgar or any of the other characters that supposedly """"ruined everything""""" His idea was doomed to fail. Why? Because like EVERY chaos worshiper
>He saw the immaterium
>He failed to understand it.
>He tries to use it anyway because it's just a weapon to him.
>It blows up in his face.

Calling either Dowager or Walker an Azhrarn clone is weird enough that I'd like some elaboration on that, but also 2E Eddy being wicked because he loves it it closer to Azhrarn - though still quite far from him - than his short GoD description or any reasonable expansion on it I can think of.

The people who like HFY are just imagining a world where they don't get told 24/7 that they are evil for just existing.

Also this is in a political clinate where measurably shit quality people are celebrated for just existing.
>>
>>97831281
I like how you types always try to ascribe some massive ideological gradiosity to HFY when it's just textual masturbation. You pretend it's a defiant rebel's shout against the overbearing misanthropic majority of sci-fi when save for the exception of Avatar, the vast majority of sci-fi is human exceptionalist wank. In fact, even Avatar is human exceptionalist wank, as it requires the world's dumbest marine to play white savior to these dipshit savages who can't even think of simple tactics like "attack the big chosen one dragon from above".

The biggest irony in all this is the humanity portrayed in 90% of HFY is the most misanthropic, anti-human take on our species. If you told me HFY was some sort of antinatalist cautionary tale about how humanity needs to off itself because we'd be the evil scourge of the galaxy, I'd believe you.
>>
>>97831662
I wonder if you could do a fake-out HFY with an alien commander listing off all the traits that make humans such dangerous warriors, their drive, their power etc typical HFY stuff about how they'll never give up in war and keep coming back

only to end with a "in short, they're just like us, they're warriors, and that's why I am confident they will understand why we do this"

>What is Trench Crusade?
An alternate weird history 28mm/32mm tabletop skirmish game. Based on the art and lore of Mike Franchina, whose illustrations you may have seen floating around on /tg/ for a several years now, and designed by Tuomas Pirinen, one of the original creators of Mordheim. It's grimdark, it's visceral, and it's very Blanchitsu.

>What's the QRD on the background?
The Knights Templar turned heretic and opened the Gates of Hell when they took Jerusalem during the First Crusade. Over 800 years later the war is still ongoing as technology has developed to a pseudo diesel-punk WW1 standard and a third of Humanity has sided with the Infernal Princes.

>How do I get started?

Its just mordheim with ranged focus. its fine. As another anon mentioned here, take this setting and slap Turnips rules on it and it would be something cool. I feel like for a WW1 game with crusades its sorely lacking in scale and simplicity to just pick up a game. Campaign games are horrible to get people to start let alone finish.

The setting of TC is cool, I feel its actually the rules that will hinder it resonating more.

Prostitution is the oldest profession. It has always existed and it will always exist. The presence of prostitutes and brothels is crucial for making a game setting and world feel realistic and lived in. Otherwise, it will lack all verisimilitude.
