As long as it's red blood, it doesn't matter what it came from, it's going to be a non-starter. BUT, I'm also considering that if something is in a pocket dimension, it's abstracted away enough that he can take it apart and store its blood in an opaque vessel for another guild member (hello, alchemy!), or perhaps for sale. So, if it's not a human/sentient, and it's not the direct sight of red blood, he'll prove at most a little squeamish, but nothing really outside the norm. So sucking up a monster with Transport would actually be quite easy for him, as would just holding it down with Telekinesis.

So when he sees that she isn't like Hero, he wants to see if there's another direction he can push their relationship in, likely testing her throughout the years to see exactly how far she'll go.
