So you can't take it and just wait for someone to come along and be willing. Develop a rivalry in person and push both of you to new heights. It took him years and years of effort, but he's able to control his own strength much better now. He's only ever had a serious accident on the base once before and... he won't talk about it. That's when he was put in the Hole. Even thinking about The Hole can wildly change his mood, into either anger or fear. Personally, I think it would be cool if the Countermeasure was another anon's build, and Bubba wasn't really aware that this person was meant to put him down if it came to it. But equally it could just be an NPC that does it. I'll see how things develop. 3/3

It's never gone out of it's way to ruin her life, though. Not when someone didn't "have it coming." They haven't seen eye-to-eye for years, but now they'll to if they don't want to stumble into their own ill fate.

Also you cannot justtify any choices in post, I had the stat spread and move list in front of me while I was making it, every power is part of that, the only two fire moves he can learn are Sunny Day and Will-oh-Wisp, so only low lever fire control, I even held back on the powers despite having the points for it, darkrai can learn Tunder but I did not get the highest electric power, and it has only 90 attack so I did not give him superstrenght and only muscle density.

Mind powers were kept for skill acquisition, reflexes and sensing (some of which wouldn't work against builds with Defence; also that's a bit redundant with Galliard), and I added Matter Manipulation to create guns on the fly and such. It also had some more offensive and defensive options to boot, and was cheap enough to keep the character an Esper. I also kept Illusions because they seem good for a sadistic build, and I think the combo with Matter Manipulation where stuff can be created both as real objects and just as illusions might be interesting. Some minor combos also appeared there like Precognition + Reduce I1.Anyway, point 1 is the main issue. There are too many Center Field Agents for me to add another. Maybe if I switched it to Internal it might work, but that doesn't fit being the Countermeasure that much.

If I had to say something, I'd say planning ahead of time is always very important. A fight scene to me is like any other narrative thing- it still needs a build up and a climax. You don't wanna go full steam the whole time with a dozen different climaxes. That last ditch gambit to turn around a fight just isn't the same when similar things already happened half a dozen times. Although you can always throw in a sorta false climax where the cast goes for a gambit too early and it backfires horribly. Those are nice for adding tension.The flip side to planning also asking yourself if how you plan to do something is something you can convey well. Big group fights are a good example of that- it's a cool thing, but hard to write well without some sort of shortcut. If you wait until after you've written something to realize it's hard to write... Well it might be too late- even if you want to re-write it, you might have dug yourself into a hole where the surrounding scenes won't make sense if you change things. If you're not sure about a particular moment, then I'd focus on writing that scene ahead of time, that way there's more room for change if you can't make it work.>We're gonna have a busy March + school year transitition.
