As the title suggests, what are some toys that hold up really well in spite of being quite old?I'd say a lot older Figmas are still quite good even by today's standards. In particular I'd single out the Madoka Magica Figmas- they capture the characters extremely well and for the most part are really fun, poseable expressive toys.
My holy grail

>>11663295I got my hands on Drossel last year when I was in Japan. I was genuinely amazing at how smooth all of her joints were. Figma and GSC were truly on top of their game back then.
for being nearly 30 years old they've aged wonderfully
>>11674657I have this set excluding the big Sonic and Skiing Sonic. Big and Amy aged worse due to the material their heads are made of but I cleaned them as best I can. Harder with Big because it's on his eyes and they're painted on.
Is haslab dying? Seriously wtf is going on? It's been nonstop fuckups for like the last year
>>11665542>>11664726It sounds like it's most likely a case of Mexican tariffs will cause Hasbro to take a big loss on it.
>>11663406All corporate PR statement sound like chatGPT. It doesn't really matter. It could be a human fake message or a chatGPT fake message either way. We won't know until toy sites start widely reporting it. And if it's just Mexico affected they may not even do so on english speaking toy news sites.
sad, no excuse is good enough for this
>>11663375Hasbro is exiting the toy industry altogether with their move from Pawtucket to the Seaport.
I highly doubt this has anything to do with Hasbro. Hasbro Pulse doesn't ship to Mexico, so we buy them through 3rd parties, in this case this toy store (think like getting it through BBTS). I bought a few from them with no issues (the Dragonfly and the Rattler). This communication reads more like the store had issues on their own with getting the cantinas and are blaming Hasbro.
Is all mg gonna be this kind of hands? Or am I wrong since I also saw some being not? How do I know? I ve been a dedicated hg buyers(not collector) and honestly,it's been pretty boresome with those, plug unplug hands, fingers

Has anyone tried to 3D print some Galidor parts ?
Let's have a little general talking about pocket playsets. Polly Pocket, Mighty Max, Micro Machines, etc.I had this set as I was a kid. Once we took a ridiculously long road trip and my dad got me this set at the beginning, and thankfully, it was the only thing that kept me entertained through that test of intestinal fortitude. No idea where it ended up.Anyway talk about your favorite play features. For fun I am going to model something similar for 3D printing. I am thinking of a space ship.

How many unused action figure hands do you guys have? Do you change them often?
>>11673521as someone who owns a shitload of figures from dozens of toylines that get praised on /toy/, my well informed opinion >>> your poorfag opinion
>>11673554I legit can't tell if you are actually being serious with this statement or not.
>>11673458>there's a whole world you don't seem to be aware ofI agree. And I own my ignorance but it's more than just a lack of knowledge. I'm not going to collect every possible thing that might potentially interest me or appeal to me. I want swords and space blasters for the toys I ALREADY OWN. I'm actually going to start selling off some of my statues and other collectibles and just focus purely on articulating figures. I'm not interested in going down rabbit holes and investing into entirely new lines and franchises and the like. This is a good way for me to be prudent since I'd still rather buy expensive red wine and Japanese whiskey instead of a $200 import bit of plastic crack. Dinner out in a metro area isn't cheap, either.I appreciate you're being interesting and challenging. And politely engaging in conversation. But you aren't going to lure me to the dark side. It's great when people don't just have four walls of crowded shelves all with fifty billion batman or fifty billion spidermen or fifty billion son gokus or waifu/coomer figurines, but actually have a variety. But that's also not going to be me - either of those visions.I knew when I got older that my behavior as a kid, where I used to save old magazines and collect shitty Duck and other cheap comic books, with boxes and stacks of paper in my childhood bedroom, that I had addictive behaviors. I've gone through spending small mints hording import records while in school, graphic novels and omnibus editions as an teen and also in school to adulthood, steel books and complete season DVDs and BluRay as an older adult, etc. and once I sold all that stuff off, I've never looked back (well, I have an excellent set of digital pirated comics, movies and music but my out of pocket costs is limited to a few external drives). Plastic crack is just my current crack. And I have a system that works well for me. And I don't really need to go outside it.
>>11673571>I'm not going to collect every possible thing that might potentially interest me or appeal to me.man, but sometimes you NEED that specific accessorry that comes from some random McStatue. This is where the majority of my oldass Mcstatue purchases come from.I dunno if you're seen my Game of Throne McFarlane legos sets that i bought, but the minifigures those building block sets came with sorely needed a dragon to head their army, and this dragon rider is roughly their height.I've also bought that Matrix stair set diorama by McFarlane, along with their military figures just for their guns. I've bought oldass Spawn movie playsets, because they're ~1:18 scale. I've bought McFarlane Conan figures for swords, thrones, and shields. Why wait for some company to make an accessory pack when there's thousand of toys that already exist that that come with beautifully painted accessories?Shit, that Medieval Spawn? 50% of the reason i bought him is just because he comes with a shit load of beautifully painted weapons. So for me, I'm not investing in a "new line", but rather, it's FOR the my collection that I've been buying since decades ago. I'm constantly looking for cool shit i can use to interact with my collection. I almost never buy something just because it looks cool, UNLESS it can go with my current collectionBTW, I'm polite to everyone as long as they're honest and genuine. Posters like the above poorfag obviosuly just come into threads just to cause problems.
>>11674523>I'm polite to everyone Lol. Lmao even. I still legit can't tell if you said >>11673554 with actual sincerity or if you were just joking. I honestly think it's the former lmao. I feel bad for you if that's the case.

Does anyone sell models/model kits of any of the vehicles from Avatar? The whaling boats and submarines from the second movie especially, haven't been able to find anything
>>11661375I'm sure somebody's working on 3D printer files
I've only seen the crab subs as a toy. I agree that big boat plane hybrid would be a sweet kit.
>>11661466where do you buy?
>>11661375Avatar would need some sort of cultural relevancy for companies to care enough about making toys from it.
>>11674222>Full on toy line>Lego line>not culturally relevant because third movie in lineup didn't make muh 2.3 billion like way of water didI hate these movies and think they're new age slop, but the ISV venture star is the single coolest hard-scifi spacecraft put to film. If they don't make a model kit of this thing I'm just gonna build one out of Legos.
Why isn't Playmobil more popular?
>>11671701>you should have some self respectThis is terrible bait.
>>11671307Maybe your mom eats ass behind the convenience stores, anon but most mothers do it in the pool house or at the country club.
>>11669710My biggest issue with Playmobil, and this is a problem I've had since I was a kid, is because the figures themselves kind of suck. They're less articulated then Lego people and can't even be popped and swapped about. Their playsets and vehicles are fantastic, but without good figures to interact with them, you can't really have fun playing with them. Last year I went hard in collecting a line called Gashapon Quest, a bunch of 3"ish articulated buildable fantasy figures that come from capsule machines. I enjoyed them so much I started looking for similarly sized figures and accessories to go with them. I found myself some similarly sized Goblins and Orcs, Re-ment has a lot of closely scaled accessories, Schleich's Eldrador line has tons of cool monsters that can work with the line. But I also found Playmobil's stuff scaled *perfectly* with these guys. So far I have pic related for my villains to sail about and I managed to track down most of a used Castle set to be the Adventurers main hub. I also plan on grabbing a second pirate ship for a similar line called Link Travelers that made a wave of pirate and sailor figures, and might even grab an evil tower or something if space allows it. But despite the sets and vehicles being so nice and working so well, sadly I just bin the figures and their gear because they're just not fun to play with. If Playmobil had better figures, I feel the entire line would be far more popular with both kids and collectors. >>11671672My kid loves playing with the giant castle I got. It's currently sitting on my kitchen table since i lack space in my toy room for it right now, and she spent all afternoon with some little princess figures who scale really well with it just having adventures. But even she didn't want to use the actual figures who came with the castle. Except the skeleton, she liked playing with that one.
>>11673365Where did you pick up your Gashapon Quest stuff? I had a lot of interest and assumed they'd come to amiami eventually but I never saw them
>>11673635I got the lion share of em from a site called Suruga-ya.com. They have a really decent selection and some of the rarer figures will pop up from time to time and tolerable prices. They also do free shipping weeks fairly often so you can wishlist a bunch of items then wait for one of their free weeks to ship everything cheap. You can also buy parts and set piecemeal so you can customize figures a bit easier then having to track down a whole collection. Though some of the rarer items can get pretty pricey, especially the figures themselves. Some of the figures from the "Character Selection" wave can be just as pricey as an entire set of figures. I thought they were going to continue the line, as I saw some "generic soldier" figures teased at one point. But they could also very easily be future Link Travelers stuff as the gimmick of that line is characters from across time and space interacting with each other or something. But unless something new drops, I'm pretty much done with the Gash Quest stuff.
Happy New Year anons. I picked up this horse figure a few weeks ago in a loose fig bin specifically for this character and buddy of mine wants to do the same but I can't ID it. It's a 1/12 scale and has a hidden button on the rear left thigh for galloping action. I'm pretty sure its not a yotijay or any version of Shadowfax that I can find. Any help is appreciated, thanks!
