What do we do to stop shf from getting worse each year while raising the prices. There hasn't been a SINGLE release without issues in years now. The new goku is practially a landmine of QC issues and let's not even start with how low quality the one piece and mha line are...or god forbid, the berserk figures.

The first Overwatch figures since the Funko days are officially available now on Popmart.
>>11669845Also with some very minimal work you can take Hasbro's goggles off.(Apologies for the superglue frosting on the Hasbro one BTW, need to get the rest of them off. Repairing her was a pain.)Overall I'd say the Figma is definitely the better figure overall, BUT the Hasbro one could be a lot worse, and she does have a very cute face. If you can find a way to adapt the Hasbro head to the Figma body that might actually make for a really good looking Tracer.
>>11669846Thanks for the breakdown, Anon. Hasbro's biggest strength seemed to be balancing quality and cost, since I know figmas were about three times more expensive, but some of the Hasbro figs go for a lot more nowadays.

Hey, what briefly happened in the Image run of TMNT and why is it generally not very well liked?
>>11671659>posting Scott Neitlich unironically
>>11671702>what briefly happened in the Image run of TMNT and why is it generally not very well liked? They tried to make TMNT darker and more edgy. All the Turtles were physically altered and traumatized. Leonardo lost a hand and used a claw, Donatello became a cyborg, Raphael wore a metal mask over facial damage, Michelangelo got all edgy, Splinter was killed. It was just out of character stuff and read like bad fanfic.

>>11668693But f you look at the toys advertised for younger kids, it's still largely based on the G1 , long after most 80's kids stopped having toddlers. That's my point. The Armada and Animated based stuff is for nostalgic fans in the collectors lines, not how the characters are presented for younger audiences. If you get a Rescue bots Optimus or a generic evergreen toy, they're gonna have hallmarks of the G1 design, not Armada or RiD or even the movies. The closest we get is Optimus Primal being in the rotation of evergreen characters now.
>>11669929Speaking of ReAction and Ultimates!... Is Super7 just done with MMPR? I was really loving their Zords and villains/monsters. As far as I'm aware the Ultimates! didn't even attempt for a new wave after the one with Bulk & Skull (which were successful), and ReAction advertised Lord Drakkon and Shellshock figures that still haven't come yet. Both lines still had plenty of main characters to work their way through... What happened?

>>11671373Yea, it seems all these faceplates also work with the chainmail head, so it's a nice way to add some new faces to some Legions if you have extra chainmail floating about. And the face with the deluxe three pack set is an Enoch repaint. The one with the AA-20 set is actually the one from the SDCC/RPG Cleric set, which means the Cleric hood will also have a compatible faceplate. I'm assuming the RPG "character sets" will be handled in a similar way to these head packs, although they'll probably also include weapons and gear and not just heads. If so that'll be a great way to build up a better parts library for the harder to find heads.
>>11671412I've got extra Enoch faceplates, so I decided to skip that one. Mainly because of the price and the fact I won't be using so many parts from it, and since repainting the facial hair on one of my extras should be within my skillset.>AA-20 set is actually the one from the SDCC/RPG Cleric setI thought it was a repainted Vellok Speer faceplate at first, but when I did the test fit I noticed the moustache was different.I think the Sentry one might be from Sir Benegarr/Beyithirr's Fury, so I'm happy to be able to get that one. Now I can have 4 Templars with different faces plus the two different helmets. Damn, I might need to buy a couple of more Sir Enochs when they eventually go up on Store Horsemen. I've still got the Blue Shield Soldiers coming too, and realising how close the color matches between Silver Knight/Blue Shield and Sir Enoch is making me want some Templars with the Sallet and Pig Face helms.
Welp, I went ahead and ordered this knight, looking forward to him.
>>11671552Where did you preorder? I was going to grab him on HLJ, but I was having trouble justifying $100 on just a knight. But now they have closed preorders and the FOMO is starting to kick in.I should just wait until it releases though. I'm trying to cut back on preorders.
>>11671676Gundamit, it's 99 bucks and 5 extra shipping to burgerland. I guess I will reward myself with some expensive knight.
Why do toy companies have this fascination with making toys that have lights and sounds and then pretending it’s some kind of revolutionary technology? Hasbro did it with CommTech and Force Link for Star Wars, and LEGO did it with the whole “Smart Play” thing. Why?

>>11668360>>11668895They really should’ve started with something that appears in both Age of Sigmar and Warhammer Fantasy to have a broader target audience, rather than using stormcast. Chaos warriors are the obvious pick (because chaos sells), but otherwise as you said, Seraphon, Empire (free cities), or gloomspite gitz would’ve worked.

My fair and balanced take:Will Smart Brick be successful? I don't know, but apparently Lego had a trial run in UK a few years ago and they decided to continue with it. Although I'm not a business person, I understand that companies need to innovate to avoid stagnation. Why do you like it? I enjoyed watching the demonstration and Beyond the Brick clips. I though it was charming. Is it too expensive? Maybe, but I haven't really bought any legos at the recommended retail price besides 40755. I believe you get what you pay for and smart brick is added value one way or the other.
>>11669703They say in the book of monsters 2 and designer said so too, there is even test footage from 2009 if you search deep.
>>11669658It's just a lower tech version of what the Mario sets have been doing for years, why do they think this is a breakthrough?
It'll be interesting to see exactly how hackable/exploitable these new bricks will be. I hope we see somebody find genuinely practical uses for them. This first wave of toys seems completely and utterly skippable, though.
>>11669683lol ... We'll probably find out in a few years that precious earth metals were used in the Commtech chips then Ep1 figures will spike in value
