Do you have figurines that you buy because you're a fan of Fomo or "for the future, in case I can't afford it later?"
And every now and then, you remember that you have this toy, and it makes you feel better?

For me it's some Lego and Sonic figures.
- Sonic figures distribution is so bad that every non-standart character has a diamond rarity and skyrockets in price. I saw picrelated toy only once in my life and i knew for sure i won't open it because it's a true treasure to me (my fav game after Sonic3 is Sonic Heroes that has this toy as a main villain).
- Lego - i just don't have that much space but i for sure know that it's better to have this set now than try to buy it later with it not being just expensive but having an expensive 20-30-40 eur shipping as well.

Do you have such examples?
Please tell! (i will show more of my stuff later in this thread)

>Why would i buy a toy if i'm ok with not owning it.
>the whole concept of selling stuff i actually wanted to buy is alien to me
I have used open toys I ended up with as lot wins that I have no real use for.
I also ended up buying things which I couldn't return and got stuck with. Some of these are factory sealed items and I will probably try to unload most of those.

>>11647439
>you forgot you owned
I've forgotten I own something and bought a second one by mistake, that's about it. I need to go through and clear this stuff, which is one reason why I haven't been buying much recently.
>>
>OP starts thread to have a subtle brag circlejerk about “muh valuable eBay collectibles xD”
I don’t collect sonic shit so I am not biased at all but OP is likely a retard and/or ESL

Cool figure but I think I prefer the paint differences that the Marshalls/Burlington rerelease had over this new one
>>
My Walmart recently exploded with new Jakks stuff. I managed to find a Metal Virus Sonic, a Streets of Rage Roo, and an Altered Beast Weredragon.

Meh. Looks really janky to be honest and with how much of an oversized disappointment Gabimaru turned out to be this is an easy skip, especially at modern figma prices. To be fair, that rolled up sleeves look's hard to transfer into an action figure. Would be interested to see if they do any other characters besides the trio, though.
>>
>>11655167
At this point I forgot the names of the characters but surely the blind swordsman is the one with the best chance in S2. I would be happy with seeing Yuzu in the new outfit, or Gabimaru with a multitude of new effects.

I want a Yotsuba figmoe :(

It's actually nuts how cool this thing is. The stereoscopic 3D is really impressive, and a lot of the reels based on cartoons and movies have some exclusive art not found anywhere else.
Any collectors? What's the rarest or weirdest reels out there?

Many pics on these reels are one-offs, if they all get destroyed it will be lost media unless someone make good scans. How do you even scan these?
>>
>>11656659
Just use a regular scanner. There were actually flatbed scanners for a while that had slots for 35mm slides. But yeah, just a scanner at a very high dpi would be enough.

I was just indulging in some nostalgia 3D viewmaster gazing while suddenly I see the sillouhette of an ant walking over the picture.
It was kind of terrifying. The actual bug is probably very small but it looked bigger on the View-Master lens.
Gotta wash those old reels. Or maybe the bug was on the inside of the visor. I shaked the viewmaster just in case. Gotta clean it too. Haven't used it in decades

Welcome to the Fashion Doll General!

A thread for discussion of fashion dolls including Barbie, Disney, LOL OMG, Rainbow High, Monster High, Licca-chan etc but not BJD. There is a BJD general over in /jp/.

Other toys considered dolls as well as girl collectable toys that are related to dolls or can be used as accessories to dolls are also welcome such as LOL, Shopkins, Polly Pocket and the like.

*Reminder to ignore trolling, bait and off topic posts instead of responding.*

Note that the lastcall30 mattel promo code does not work for the scissorhands doll. Disappointed

Forgive my ignorance (I don't normally browse this thread), but do they sell individual outfits for male fashion dolls? I think I've only seen female outfits in the pink aisle, and it seems like the only soft goods for male action figures are military/police/firefighting uniforms. I' m in need of something like streetwear/sportswear for an idea that I want to test out.

>do they sell individual outfits for male fashion dolls?

Yes! You can usually find them mixed in with the other Barbie fashions at any Target or Wal-Mart store. Be aware that the quality is a bit cheap and the styles are a bit "girly." You're better off in the long run ordering a pack of 3rd party male fashion doll clothes off Ebay or Amazon.

Good topic idea. Made me consider the current state of my overall collection. Most of my collections are kind of complete at this point and it's a good thing since I'm pretty much out of space. I don't buy a toy without getting rid of one these days. Nice way to clear space, while also keeping down impulse buys.
>Marvel (Done with MCU, done with comic characters except X-men)
>DC (Between DCC/DCD and McFarlane, have 95% of the characters I want. Will keep an eye on the upcoming Mattel line)
>Star Wars (Just need a few more BS figures. Keeping the collection small with my favorites from OT, PT, and the cartoons)
>Dragon Ball (Just waiting on a few characters, mainly from Buu saga)
>Digimon (Pretty much all we've got on the horizon is resins and bootlegs of those resins lately. Grim)
>Naruto (Out of space, but would make some for more pre-shippuden versions)
>One Piece (Only focusing on pre-timeskip)
>General Anime (Too much to list with all the series I only have a few figures from)
>Video Games (Old Player Select Neca figures, Persona 5, Nier, Kingdom Hearts, Fate)
>Horror & Sci-Fi (Single shelf with characters/monsters from some of my favorites)
>>
Transformers mostly. Like I think the only thing that comes close is Hot Wheels cars as a kid, and I think those might have been surpassed in number by robots at this point.
>>
>>11654238
A bit of everything. Marvel, Dragon Ball, DC, Pokemon and Kamen Rider. I only buy characters that I absolutely love.

Primarily collect Monster High dolls. I've also got a few statues of certain characters I love. Tried collecting action figures for a while but realized I'm not really into the small stuff so only have a handful left.

>normies say they can't put a Lego set together
Why does this seem so common? Are normies really that retarded that they are less intellectually capable than an average 6 year old?
>>
>>11657725
Got these for the kid:
Hagrids hutt, a couple polybags (Quidich practice and museum heist), yoshi bike, paisley’s room, and the panda sanctuary.
No bricks for daddy this year but that’s okay.

>>
>>11657815
have some empathy, not everyone has the dedicated tism for putting small brick stuff together
if you're a regular person going about their life that played with regular toys as a kid and didn't have a dozen lego sets growing up or asked for lego every birthday and Christmas, you're not going to be good at it, also their brain is numb from using they iphone and watch netflix or whatever low brain function activity the normie be doing
I remember being around 11 years old sperg, annoyed looking at my younger cousin's lego set she got and built with her aunt and some of the pieces were offset in some places. how can people not put together lego properly, I could not believe it, just follow the instructions. but she had few legos and her aunt didn't have legos growing up either unlike me who was a LEGO EXPERT since I got my first sets at 4-5 years old and kept getting stuff every year
if I never had any legos and wasn't familiar I'd be pretty intimidated by a large set, probably

I'm usually not a buyfag for figures this expensive, but I loved this movie. Could some more experienced people tell me if they often go on sale? I can't see myself spending $300 on it but if I could get it for $150 or even $200 I think I'd cave
>>
>>11655496
These types of statues rarely go on sale, and thanks to low production numbers, tend to sell out.

Sometimes a KO version that's cheaper shows up on the usual Chinese sites.

Actually it's Darwin not Vulcan.

Darwin basically is an albino Puerto Rican who can adapt to any attack made against him, making him neigh impossible to kill. He was part of a "lost" team of X-Men alongside Vulcan sent to rescue the original X-Men from Krakoa prior to the forming of the All New All Different X-Men, who only existed because Krakoa massacred Darwin's team. Darwin survived by merging with Vulcan and got extracted from him when Vulcan came back for revenge. He later then joined Xfactor for a bit before being forgotten.

His biggest claim to fame was being on X-Men First Class where he was made a normal looking black man played by the guy who went on to play Mr Terrific in James Gunns Superman. The character is quickly killed off in First Class and the actor who played him is still salty as fuck that he didn't get the Jennifer Lawrence treatment simply because he was black.
>>
>>11653289
Darwin dying from something he should have adapted to still makes me salty too, damn.
>>
>>11653386
>X-Men movie characters generally aren't as insanely OP as the comic characters
>nobody really cares most of the time
>introduce irrelevant Z-list character nobody ever cared about, with power of being hard to kill
>Villain kills him anyway, to showcase how threatening he is
I feel like nobody except the "everything in an adaptation must be 100% EXACTLY like the comics" turbo autists would even care if the actor wasn't black and tried to act like his character dying and staying dead was an act of discrimination against him.
>>
>>11653289
>he didn't get the Jennifer Lawrence treatment simply because he was black
Definitely couldn’t have been because he wasn’t Jennifer Lawrence it was 1000% because he’s a nigger.
>>
I like him. I don't know the character, but he's weird looking enough. I remember him having 4 fingers though.
Pretty sure I got mine for like 8 bucks or less
