Lùth goes on to unify all of Scotland. However, his kingdom quickly collapsed because tanistry and primogeniture aren't a thing. Then his descendants, around the 11th-12th century, had taken the name Lùth as their clan name, so their surname is MacLùth, which would be anglicized into MacLoud. The traumatized 1600s Lincoln lookalike would drop the Mac and just be named Loud. IRL speaking, MacLoud came from MacLeòid, which was derived from a Norse-Gael man who is called Ljótr, but I prefer having some alternative history.Yeah, it would be cool if the show had the Louds explore more about their royal lineage.
