The actor in the OP is Giancarlo Esposito. He and Sam Jackson are both in Do The Right Thing. Did you think they were the same character?

I feel the same way. He was a talented and hard-working actor since the 80s who appeared in many more movies than people generally aware of. I'm always rooting for these guys.
Therefore when Esposito got his big break with BB I was happy for him. I'm not closely familiar with everything he's done since but what I've seen didn't impress me. It was busywork.

How do these people get away with driving 170mph?

I don't mean legally. I mean can you really just go that incredibly fast on public roads in England? Does nobody else own a car in that country? Are there 50% fewer traffic lights and signs in England compared to the US? Fewer cops? English police give zero fucks about speeding? The English cop cars top out at 70mph?

You're not reading right:
>The way to have remedied Sully is to lean more into being a Quaritch lite and have him being the one to struggle with domesticating into being a family man.
>The way to have remedied Sully
>to have
The poster I replied to was complaining Sully was boring. I am saying a way to have resolved that issue is to have made Sully into more of a Quaritch lite where instead of immediately starting as the hero spirit, he has to struggle with it.

Also my hypothetical Sully here is not more bloodthirsty than Quaritch, the fuck are you going on about? I'm saying that Sully would in this HYPOTHETICAL ("the way to have remedied" again) is that he has to learn to become a family man instead of a warrior. Instead except for being a jackass to Lo'ak he's got no growing to go on in Way of Water and Ash and Fire. Neytiri struggles with her hatred and loss beautifully, but Jake has a very minimal sense of emotional struggle compared to her or Lo'ak.

Like I'm not even insulting you by assuming you're ESL. That was very obviously a hypothetical thought experiment of "the way to have remedied the issue anon had would have been to make Sully lean into being something else".

You're boxing at shadows dude.
>>
>>217395926
You think Jake doesn't struggle in FaA because he's not outwardly venting his grief? He distracts himself with guns, is really just depressed and disheartened for most of it. Lashes out at Lo'ak when Lo'ak is trying to get the whales to fight as if that isn't something Jake should be working for.
Jake's basically given up on fighting at all in FaA if it isn't directly protecting his family. It's only when he's faced with the prospect of capture, then saved by Neytiri at outrageous risk to herself, misguidedly tries to focus his lack of action into killing Spider and then redirects it to becoming Toruk Makto again.
Jake's FaA arc is overcoming his grief and his fear of loss to become the leader the world needs him to be again. It's just subtle and one of many arcs going on (Quaritch's is the most in-focus, of course).
>>
>>217395743
I can get that. The issue is that they needed an avatar (hee hee) for the audience to invest in, and Jake sully is that. And since it'd be weird for the audience to insert into a side-gig character Jake sully has to be the protagonist. There was a Cameron quote I saw in a video about the extended/cut content videos where a reason why Cameron pushed the start of 1 and didn't have the long preamble on earth was, in his words, the movie is about Neytiri and Jake and their relationship. It might also be that his lack of flavor is to help make him more accessible to audiences. I can see your point about
>more interesting things are happening around it.
Presumably Cameron's theme he wanted with 2 was very clearly family drama (and 3 was also family drama because the two movies are so damn similar).

With Quaritch though I really come back to
>Villains have more fun.
They get to be more powerful (to be a challenge for the hero, so they are cooler)
They dictate the tempo, they dictate the story direction. The hero is more often reactive than proactive. Quaritch decided the pace and story in 1, 2, and 3.
The hero gets really one shot for zero-to-hero - Jake shot that load in 1, so unless they play with a fall from grace he's constantly relitigating that. The villain gets to have a redemption arc, which Quaritch is clearly having dragged out over the movies.

They could have made Sully better like I outlined hypothetically, but Quaritch kind of had to be done great to really make the story work at all.

He lashed out at Lo'ak nonstop in 2, so him lashing out in 3 was just more of the same. I guess there's more of him respecting Lo'ak in 3, though there was a hint of that at the end of 2 with Lo'ak being the one to save him. Some of the problems here seem to arise from the blurriness between 2 and 3 since it relitigated the same ground. In 2 he doesn't want to fight, so he flees and then when his back against the wall he realizes he has to stay and fight (Think that's even his last line in the movie?). Then in 3 he doesn't want to fight until again his back is to the wall and so he has to fight - again. Only real difference is in 3 he rides the last shadow and in 2 he didn't, but otherwise he's still forced into Toruk makto as a role in 2.

Frankly I liked that line in 3 about how when you hook up with the Toruk (I am sure I am spelling it wrong) you just crave blood. It would have been nice to see him struggle a bit more with that since he had as much reason as Neytiri to be vengeful.

He was overcoming fear of losing his family to become a leader in 2 - no grief since that comes afterwards. But aside of the very great emotional moment with Neytiri about her hating his alien blood and hating her children (that was a great scene, mind you - but it was more for Neytiri's struggle than anything. He has no ounce of rancor for Neytiri after that?) and Lo'ak shoving him with the "You blame me for my brother's death" moment, it all felt repetitive to 2.

Nothing against her, it is hard to cast in 2026 and it is better to not shit on the ip.
However, a 29 year old that looks 39 is not a good choice, regardless of her piercings and divorces and her child, which means she is a loose woman.
Just not a good fit for Lara.

How to solve it (step-by-step, human-friendly)

Start at the outer opening
There is a single gap in the outermost ring (near the bottom). Enter there.

Rule of thumb:

Always follow the corridor forward.

When you encounter a radial opening (a short straight cut inward or outward), take it.

Ignore long circular paths unless they are your only option.

General movement pattern
