What's my opinion on Sophia Lillis as an actress /tv/?
>>217415124Doric
>>217414615Wait is that real?
Nancy Drew grew up...
the white kim chaewon
>>217415423>socrates, plato>a history of western moralshow are jews so spiteful lmao its just unreal
Why do modern actors age so much better?
>>217414214Imagine all the hairy pussy Ted Danson was getting at his peak.
>>217415148Obviously I can't do that but it's true. If it makes you feel better I don't look young like an 18 yo model who gets milfs wet. I just look like a boy who needs to show id at the liquor store
Do 35 year olds not realize this is what they look like? I'm 21 and all those people look 35 to me
>>217415333Same. I constantly get carded when buying liquor except at my local Circle K because they know me as a regular there cause I buy my beer and snacks there atleast twice a week.
>>217415333>>217415397Getting carded is meaningless, a lot of places are strict about it and card everyone
you're not scary
>>217415176absolutely deserved, fuck those guysno idea how they managed to get another adaptation after that
>>217402826>counting or not counting snoke theories?
>>217413132>Rian continues to make so much money from Netflix.Even Daniel Craig got paid $100 million up-front to star in the two Knives Out sequels.
>>217415061To be fair to JJ; what the fuck do you do when you're tasked with ending a trilogy after it is effectively derailed by the second film and you've got less than 2 years until release day?
>>217415386it seems to make way more sense to take the much more simplistic route and make it all about Kylo and Rey and NOT bring back Palpatine to raise star destroyers like zombies out of the literal fucking ground and have horses on starships and I'd probably have more but I refuse to watch that one ever and that's all I know of itI only know what I've seen here, didn't he even have this Goonies fucking scene with some ancient sith dagger that happened to line up perfectly with the death star ruins for some fucking reason

>>217414487Bela is a great actress
>>217411666>>217415139 >>217415116 absolutely zero class or discipline. nothing more than a slampig.

she looks like.....
>>217415437And this is…?
Why did they cast a turbo manlet for this role? He just looks goofy every time he's on screen. Makes no sense considering Lucy/their father appear to be average height.
>>217415156>t. under 6'
>>217411432>it was all just a scheme to sell Skyrim re-re-re-remastered for PS5Kino.
>>217415156>LookistGo back
>We need to cast the main character's younger brother...>Well, this actor is two years older than her, visibly missing a chromosome, and obviously a different race from any other member of his family!>PERFECT! Genuinely. Make. It. Make. Sense.

Crazy to think modern audiences watch this and take it at face value as what classic westerns were when it was pretty much a deconstructive parody. It's the equivalent of looking at Scream as the epitome of classic slasher horror.Scary how the context of cultural artifacts gets distorted and washed away as time passes.
>>217415120It's objectively worse by every single metric you can measure a film by.The Man With No Name is a more interesting and better played protagonist than Harmonica will ever be. Tuco as the co-lead is infinitely better than Jill, it's not even comparable. As much as I love Henry Fonda in OUTITW, he just can't hold a candle to Lee Van Cleef. Take the theme songs. Man With a Harmonica, no one recognizes. Everyone knows that song. It's maybe the most iconic song of any western ever. Moreover, TGTB&TU is riddled with iconic quotes. "When you have to shoot, shoot, don't talk." "There are two kinds of people, my friend: those with loaded guns and those who dig. You dig." and so on. The other has one, maybe two? "You brought two too many." Egh.Even in cinematography. Can the opening train standoff scene hold a single candle to the cemetery triangle duel? Frank killing those kids and establishing himself as a surprise villain might've worked during that year (Henry Fonda isn't the protagonist, h-h-he's the villain!?), but the scene with Angel Eyes eating at the man's table and murdering him? Better in every way. I hate you faggots that keep pushing this movie. OUTW is such a good movie, but I keep having to shit on it because you keep trying to elevate it past its betters.
>>217415120NoHowever they are both infinitely better than the other two of the dollars trilogy.
>>217414721Unga bunga hork hork hork
>>217415362Anon if anything you're supposed to parallel Tuco to Cheyenne not fucking Jill lol
>>217415362>better playedaaaaand you lost me
For me it's either the drunk santa or "The Midnight Sun" with Lois Nettleton
>>217414680One time I told my gf Jodie Sweeting was hot and she was genuinely surprised. It was a "huh? her?" moment. I don't think women understand how important tits are.
>>217414703because it was more about society and humanity and less scifi or horror
It's a Good Life
>>217414751My mom always used to imitate the wife's "HennnnRY!" call. Did she do that in something else too? Wiki seems to say this episode is the main thing she was known for.
It's not the most amazing episode, but I've always had a soft spot for 'The Rip Van Winkle Caper'. Episodes with karmic punishments for characters were always great, and the setup of these criminals stabbing each other in the back as they drag their worthless haul across the desert is so ironic its iconic.
Is HDR a scam? To me it feels like they're just restoring the color they removed from the non-HDR version that was perfectly achievable with old panels. No one ever complained about stuff lacking color before, but now people often complain about movies and shows lacking color and tech shills respond with the need of owning HDR capable displays. This all feels like a trick to me.
>>217414617You need a 4k player for HDR, so a regular Blu-ray player won't work. Also you need a current HDMI cable.
>>217414566Yes. On both my "HDR capable" tvs, games and movies look dark as fuck. I have to disable HDR on all my devices.
>>217414654>And if you ask them about it, they say they didn't even notice...In my experience, if you tell them to disable that, they get angry and tell you it looks better with fake frames. What I started to do afterwards was to disable it behind their backs without telling anything. And not a single person noticed the change.
>>217414636Full, and with all the possible HDR modes on the console enabled. Weird thing is the PS5 doesn't have this issue and HDR looks good and correct there. But the Xbox has most of my game library so it's where I spend way more time
>>217411703A major issue with HDR is that not standardized, each TV screen comes calibrated differently and has different algorithms it's build upon etc, so you have to tweak each screen according to what you think looks good, is not exactly user friendly in the end
Why is the writing on these movies so incredibly dumb? Weren't they the same writers who worked on TNG and DS9?
>>217415411They had a dumb down for a general audience. Normies wouldn't appreciate a fifteen minute scene of them sitting in the observation lounge having ethics debate even though true trek fans would love that.

I know I'm not the only one who was mildly traumatized by this scene, thinking the little girl got eaten alive. It's easy to miss the one line of dialogue where they say she is ok
>Their wee girl was, uh, injured. No she's fine she's fine she's fine.It was pretty blatantly mentioned.
>>217415289Spielberg couldn't resist showing children leaking adrenal
>A lil olivol
>>217415006Isn’t olive oil shit for actual cooking? Can’t handle heat and turns toxic basically losing all its health benefits. It works better as a cold dressing
>>217415038It's mostly used as anal lubricant.

>>217415006>that's a beeg onyo!
>>217408785The purpose of (((Hollywood))) is not to inspire, or even entertain, but to propagandize, indoctrinate, and humiliate the audience.
>>217408785Let's read the Katzenberg memo, shall we? It pretty much went>Hey Disney, what if we just made good movies instead of making bad movies and touching them up with an A-List celebrity and a bunch of special effects? And then Disney FIRED him, and then he founded Dreamworks with Steven Spielberg and that homosexual who made Guns n' Roses and Nirvana famous.
>>217414999To be fair, early Pixar and Dreamworks were overflowing with competence. Steve Jobs himself led Pixar. Spielberg himself helped on Dreamworks. Now, it’s all nepotism.
>one writes for profitable shows time and time again>the other doesn'twooooow
>>217412164Ha! Now YOU know how it feels to get replaced by new technology. Writers have had it too easy compared to every other craft.
