>cuts bangs>career endsmany such cases
>>217427234>and receding hairlineBangs can't hide density loss or a receding hairline because good bangs are reliant on thick dense hair. Bangs on girls are extremely common but as they get through the teenage years into their 20s the style slowly goes away. It's not because they think it makes them look childish or whatever nonsense they like to claim. They stop having hairstyles with bangs because they're losing their hair and can't pull off the look anymore. Most youthful feminine hairstyles that middle aged women avoid like the plague and have endless excuses for "growing out of" are this way. If they could still pull them off they 100% would because they look good and exude youthfulness. But they can't so they cope by trying to convince themselves there's something morally wrong with having youthful hair despite the tens of thousands they spend a year on skin care products and medical treatments to make their skin not look its real age.

really wish by some miracle the TV show had been this exact cast and setting and effects, but for the whole show.Netflix series was okay, but it always felt low-budget and it felt way too kidsy compared to the movie.I do remember cringing at the movie for some reason when I first watched it, I was like 9 or 10 and for some reason I was just really embarrassed watching it with my parents.Although it was also pretty cringe to binge watch the whole TV series with my dad over the course of a week at the end of 2020 because we were told it was going away (in fact, it was the old movie being taken off of Netflix, I don't know why in fuck's cunt I thought Netflix would remove one of their own originals from their service, but I did).Anyway, movie was 8/10 (held back by re-organizing the plot as well as a couple silly added scenes as well as a bit of overacting on Carrey's part).Show was 6/10, held back by stupid VFD flashbacks, some of the songs were dumb (although the title theme, once you got used to it, was absolutely peak), some low-budget scenery made it seem like a college film project, and just the staging of it, particularly the lion pit scene, it just seemed really like it was a play or something, which is NOT the vibe I got from the books. I remember the 10th, 11th, and 12th books had this really somber feeling to them, especially with all the quotes from 1800s transcendental American authors, you just felt this sort of deep sadness reading it as a kid. I had hoped the show would capture that and be kino, but instead it made it seem kinda childish. I know ultimately it's a comedy, but it could have been more than that.
This was kino.

Joe Rogan a straight up hack. No classic bits. No quotables. Nobody ever laughed at his standup. The Mencia thing was him playing comedy cop to boost his own clout. He been borrowing Joey Diaz energy forever, difference is Joey real and stays quiet. Rogan got cult leader vibes and now he too rich for comics to check him. His standup on Bill Maher level. Booked, forgettable, zero cultural impact. Final form is know it all podcast bro simping for MMA, libertarians, and rich dudes.
>>217439484Yeah, his comedy sucks like objectively. It's his weird quirk, probably coming from a place of deep insecurity, that he likes to front that he's a big-time comedian. What he is, though, is an exceptionally good interviewer. Show's gone downhill as it's become bigger and more politicized, but Rogan's great at getting somebody to open up, and knowing when to probe and (usually) when to stfu and let the guest talk. Stuff like that. Libs like OP are still seething over him endorsing Trump, but he's one of the great interviewers of our time, he didn't get to being the godfather of podcasting by accident.
