Now the dust has settled, was it better than mos?
>>219212439I'm not, I'm looking at it from the exact lens Zack himself put under these characters, and you see the meta-narrative as plain as day, the logical solutions when you think about it should've been Batman deciding Gotham is a lost cause and Superman walking away because humanity is too vile for any viable change to happen, this same theme pops up with Wonder Woman too. Because under the lense of the meta-narrative, they realize they're doing more damage than any good that the world will destroy itself and it's better off without them to try and stop the inevitable Again, examine that movie after reading some literature on Nihilism
>>219212237>Why is Superman against Israel? Isn't he Jewish? No he is not, because the Jews wanted to sell comics, Superman is Methodist.
>>219212657Suppression of human emotion is the only way to avoid temptation bro, take them and just push them out of yourself and you are free, released
>>219212616I think you're mistaken when not properly educated on the philosophies deeply woven into the plot, Batman literally is depicted as wanting to believe in the delusion of good again, that's the whole point
>>219212616The entirety of ZSJL literally spells out the heroes doomed the world by fighting back Darkseid the way they did and that they will still lose in the end
Do you think they deserved all of it?
>>219206992yeah. who doesn’t want to see Brad Pitt kill Filipinos in this new flick?
>>219206992did they have any money left over for you know... the production?
>>219207649I'd imagine these movies are an investment long term for Netflix. With more studios making their own streaming services, Netflix needs more original content on their platform. It probably won't be a success in the traditional way a movie is but having a Tarantino/Fincher/Brad Pitt film permanently on their platform is seen as worth the big investment.
>>219208055but they also have costs for everything. couple hundred mil is not chump change for an exclusive streaming movie
>>219207883The only reason anyone would want to watch this is because it’s an independent sequel

>>219206967>he was decently happy at the start of the movielmao what? are you fucking serious?
>>219206967He was utterly miserable in the movie, hence the dreams. He just didn't realise it. Him believing he'd got caught up in a resistance movement gave him the sense of adventure he'd not known he'd been longing. she was never actually a resistance fighter, she was just in the wrong place at the wrong time and he got her killed because of the misunderstanding
>>219212422he was pretty happy just chilling in records before his dick got him to start doing the stupidest shit
>>219206967>why does every fucking thing i read about this movie repeat this?Because you either get it or you don't, and you obviously don't. There's two camps, for how much weight/validity can be put on dreams/Sam's dreaming. One camp, certainly Gilliam's camp, is that dreaming/Sam's dreams are just as "real" and valid (if not moreso) than the actual world. The other camp, is that the actual (miserable) world is all that matters and dreaming/Sam's dreams are meaningless and worthless. If you're Gilliam's camp, it was a positive ending because no matter what they do to him, he's already gone and lost in his own dreams at the end.

She sucks but I think it was the wind tripping her cadence
>>219211905>it's just to fly past the moon and go back.leaving earth orbit and swinging around the moon is actually quite a bit more dangerous than going to the space station. Artemis command module has a wimpy main engine compared to apollo and cant go into orbit around the moon and has limited ability to recover in the event of an emergency. In addition once you leave earths magnetic field you are at the mercy of cosmic rays from space. They fly through your head at random times and cause visible flashes of light that cant be blocked with a blindfold making it hard to sleep.
from what i heard there's still a chance they cancel this thing if certain clouds don't act right, is this true? we could see all this ceremony just for them to call it off?

Apologize
The Evening with Kevin Smith talks are really fun and interesting, but his reliance on self-inserts in his movies sucks. Also, I have absolutely no love for anyone that gets wet eyed about random geek shit (same with Simon Pegg walking onto the Star Wars set and weeping) whilst talking up made-for-selling-toys franchises like they’re transcendental high art. It’s okay for them to be pulpy and made for fun, you don’t need to insert extraneous emotions into these things to justify why you’re still into them as middle aged men.

So the mafia actually ran Vegas way better than the corporations that took over?
imagine being a gambling addict who does everything onlineso embarrassing
Watch the movie.
>>219212688I'm going to Vegas for the first time next month. Any recommendations? Food, shows, places to see, things to do, things to avoid?
Yes they robbed tortured and murdered people better than the corporations
>>219212841I went June of last year. The magic of discovering Vegas wore off after like 2 days. The strip barely had anybody walking through it since it was so fucking hot and the perimeter around that area is surrounded by homeless junkies and boarded up businesses. Also don't drive to the strip because there is no parking and they will charge you like $20 for a spot. Only went there for a UFC match. If you like firing guns theres a great firing range that will let you shoot miniguns or historic WW2 weapons
