Why is it in Game of Thrones all the great houses are powerful yet in House of the Dragon they are all basically non existent? If you think about it, most the houses involved in the court or the war are pretty mediocre. Look at the Hightowers, they have Old Town but Otto Hightower isn't even the Lord Hightower. He's just a landless brother. It's insane that a King would mary Alicent since she is technically not even a Lady since her father has no land titles.
