So the girl was a king of hell all along? And all she did was make birds hit windows, build little effigies for her followers' rituals and be awkward?
The more impressive stuff happens while she's dead so why does the demon need a body that bad?
The end of the movie didn't make me feel like the end was nigh. How much damage can this dude and his geriatric cultists do in the middle of bumfuck Utah?

Other than that nice movie but I don't understand the hype.

Just watched Stigmata
I enjoyed it, though it did leave some questions left unanswered, such as to why she out of all people was even chosen to be the messenger. The editing was a bit over-the-top too, it felt like a religious version of Saw at some points lmao
Pretty good overall though if you can get past some of the flaws. Very nice set design and cinematography too (besides from the over-the-top Saw-editing gore scenes), has anyone done a cinegrid of this yet?

That movie is kinda like Joker 1. The director tried to tell one thing but the audiences thought of the other thing. According to what what Fargeat said, The Substance is pretty much another Hollywood self congratulationary movie, which is kinda sad since she did said Cronengerg and Carpenter were her biggest inspirations.

The demon the geriatric cult worships prefers MALE vessels, but the mom had cut contact with the granny cultist by the time their male son was born, and later they tried to get the youngest daughter but it wasn't fully successful for the same reason I just mentioned.
So the cult orchestrates everything including the the death of the little girl so the demon can possess the MALE son or whatever which is what's meant to happen at the ending.
And yeah it's got too much drama akin to most noHorror that gets good reviews, at least Poopyfarter 3 is just Art having fun killing people

So I watched the american/british remake of Speak No Evil some nights ago. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised (my expectations were low though). This is more of an re-imagining of the original than a remake.

This movie works best as an appendix to the original than on its own though so I'd suggest you watch the original first and then this. Maybe watch them back to back, make a night out of it.

Evil within 1 and 2. Beat the 1st, I'm halfway through the 2nd one and it's a decent RE dupe with genuinely good monster design, games a little easy but the way it fucks with perspective is interesting. Story is kind of retarded but I don't hate it, gameplay is decent. Kind of funny how the director of RE left RE behind just to make another RE type game lol
