I've been thinking about what makes fishtank watchable and have ultimately landed on this. When the show is engaging to me they have a schizo menace roaming the house like Fatty/Jimmy/Freddy that can make content pop off at any moment. That's why season 3 and 5 have been so boring to me, there's no one like that who could just explode at any second or constantly makes things funny just from existing. Sure there's been some amusing stuff, but realistically you could watch nothing but clip highlights and miss nothing while people who didn't experience things like Season 1 Fatty or Season 4 Freddy live will never understand just how great it was because clips can't convey it and a bunch of the crazy shit is lost to time.
