Sonic didn't need to chase non-gamers for lack of a better term. I've seen too many people say Sonic should focus less on video games and more on movies and other shit that doesn't make up the bulk of the franchise outside of merchandise, and I really want Sonic to go back to its actual roots, Sonic 1 wasn't just a marketing gimmick, there were actual mechanics behind how the game worked and it felt great to play once you learned them.

Highly recommended to run the following set:
>Buster Force - consistent, good fallback if you run out of ammo for other forces
>Flame Force - really strong especially early game against non-machine enemies, highest DPS. Falls off in use in late game but does find use cases for some of the late-late bosses.
>2x Lance Forces - Arguably the strongest force in the game, becomes a necessity by the endgame where most bosses you fight are machine-based which are extra susceptible to it.
Don't forget to hit Force Capsules with your currently equipped force to have the capsule's force match yours so you can add extra ammo.

If you die really late into the game and have all your force ammo reset, honestly just reset the run. Some of these later bosses get pretty tanky.
