People say that high difficulty Ninja Gaiden 2 is all about covering yourself in i-frames, but I’ve never seen the same thing being said about Ninja Gaiden 1, even though it is exactly the same. You simply can not allow yourself to ever be in a state where enemies are allowed to hit you, even on block. Because over half of the attacks that are coming your way, and there are always attacks coming your way, are either grabs, which ignore your block completely, or guard breaking attacks, after which you are forced to roll to try and avoid follow up attacks or grabs. The problem is that enemies’ attacks have a shit ton of forward momentum, so they can chase your roll effortlessly, if you get your guard broken there’s like an 80% chance that you are going to get nailed by the next attack, and if you try to stand in place and block reset, you’ll just get grabbed for sure. So UT, guillotine, izuna and wind path away, because everything else is practically not allowed. These are my impressions after playing ninja trials on master ninja.
So do you guys think someone has already figured out the entire plot of the game? Or do you think there's things that are still completely unpredictable outside of complete hail mary?
