There are some substantial improvements in some areas, namely dialogue and character. Dialogue is vastly expanded, instead of 1 new line every stratum (and no new lines for eyepatch guy,) there are new lines each floor. Many quests have dialogue options too that can effect the outcome of quests (pic rel.) And then there are some NPCs who only show up as part of certain quests that get their own portraits. So the game is more reactive and "immersive" in that sense. It's less of an expansion/DLC; more like a twist on the original. An example is the first stratum boss has FOEs around that make their way towards him, like Fenrir, but they act differently than the Skolls.

I've always wanted a toggle bind that enables Spy to always run at his regular movement speed regardless of disguise. So say you disguise as a Heavy, you press that button and you'll run at Spy-speed. It'll offer strategy and there's upsides and downsides to it. If you see a friendly heavy running fast (and he doesn't have GRU out), it's obvious he's a spy.

Lash is cool because he plays like hardly anything else in any other shooter (closest things might be Wrecking Ball or Soldier with gunboats in TF2). I'm glad in a shooter game like Deadlock, there are some heroes like Lash which don't need pinpoint accuracy to be effective. Instead of needing perfect cursor placement to win, Lash wins by positioning himself and surprising people at the right time. Anyways patch when?
