that didn't stop shirou because shirou had no intent of actually doing clock tower shit and only got dragged along in UBW because he's rin's boyfriend, otherwise he was planning to go down the law and politics route
meanwhile as far as we know fujimaru is just a completely ordinary dude a few years out of school who had enough free-time and a lack of obligations that allowed him to fuck off to antarctica after seeing a random recruitment flyer, take away his responsibilities as a master and he's left with not much else

Literally the only multiplayer (comp) shooter I've ever enjoyed since TF2. It's pretty great, and free to boot. Shame I can hardly play it these days since it's crash2desktop.exe, but if it'd still run on my toaster I'd play it with my bros.

Link in TOTK is probably my joint favorite character to control in any 3rd person game (along with Sam Fisher in SC Chaos Theory). "Garbage movement" in my mind would be something like DMC2 Dante, who can't so much as consistently walk without jittering back to a standstill every other step.

I agree with you. The mechanics are great, the game is colorful, the music is great, but it's too easy and there's no sense of accomplishment. Same with Mario Wonder.

This is modern Nintendo and I had to get over my nostalgia and accept it.

Game was two short.

Level design for the transforming house and the time travel mansion mission was insane though.
>>
>>729513271
I still think the biggest missed opportunity is that they set the Crown Killer up as the Daud of Dishonored 2, and then she ends up just being the first real target you get after arriving at Serkonos.

It’d be like if the Flooded District was the first mission after the prison in the first game instead of the Abbey.
>>
>>729511389
>Why did this flop?
Because it was slop.
>>
>>729513467
The pacing is all over the place the first mission feels like something that is supposed to happen somewhere around 2/3 of the game. They try to hype up the crown killer and then it's instantly forgotten.
There's no feeling of progression and the ending just happens.

>villain tortures and murders innocent people for shits and giggles
>but its okay because she was the Emperor’s bastard child and was cheated out of the throne because of the patriarchy

I swear modern liberals don’t understand how to write morally grey villains. A person isn’t admonished from guilt just because they had a rough upbringing. You just know it came from the weird feminist obsession of romanticising witches too.

I would make her swallow and least twice during our little date and when she would ask me for oral in return I’d chicken out and say I was scared. Just like my real first ever sexual experience. That way my mom would never give my dad blowjobs again. Thus causing my dad to grow enraged quickly during their marriage causing a divorce thereby removing me from existence. Finally deleting the experience I had with that chick from reality.

I think it's very interesting how in every game where the protagonist has a blood related sister she is ALSO the best girl in the game.

So I’ve been sinking a ton of time into Arc Raiders lately, and honestly I think I’m way more into it than I expected to be. The thing that grabbed me first was the whole vibe of the game. The art direction, the soundtrack, that dusty retro-sci-fi aesthetic.. it all feels like someone mashed together 80s sci-fi with modern tech in the best possible way. Every time those massive ARC machines come stomping in, I still get that “whoa” moment. Gameplay wise, I love that it doesn’t just hand you everything. You actually have to plan fights, manage your gear, and rely on your squad. When a battle goes wrong, it really goes wrong.. but when a run goes right? Chef’s kiss. There’s something super satisfying about coordinating, flanking, and finally bringing down a walker you’ve been struggling with. It scratches that co-op itch perfectly. And yeah, the world feels harsh, but not hopeless. You get that “we’re scrappy survivors but not giving up” tone throughout, which I really dig. Even just roaming around scavenging feels atmospheric instead of filler. Basically, Arc Raiders hits that sweet spot for me: stylish, tactical, and just chaotic enough to keep things interesting. It’s one of those games where even the losses turn into good stories later.

Anyone else hooked on it right now?

I'm not entirely sure. At least the Space Race had a demonstrable purpose (ICBM/MIRV development and satellites recon...we could give a fuck about the actual moon). Boomers were fortunate enough to be alive at the time where scientific advancement in the military sector trickled down with more immediacy to the consumer sector and brought with it the opportunity for new products and manufacturing growth. AI's theoretical use case is great, but it's current use case is nebulous outside of unemploying white collar tech workers and middle management paper pushers. It seems to have very little tangible benefit to the average person outside of "lol, well you don't have to work anymore because you're fired".

>If the ultimate point was winning, you'd play whatever game you were best at, all the time, because that maxes your winrate.
I explained this already, my point isn't that accruing wins in any game = better. There are games where it's not even fun to win. We're talking about yugioh here, where the set objective is to beat your opponent, as simple as that.
>Most players don't play PVP just to win
Anon, I'm with you if you meant something like going to a friend's house to play or going to your locals where the experience is what matters more, but in an online, faceless game like MD, you play to win. Of course you can play to try new strategies or seeing interesting interactions, but the underlying direction all of those options follow is winning.
