This is something that baffles me. They had developer commentary included on release day which straight up tells you how they solved team play. Yet everyone trying to compete goes with the 5v5 compfag approach instead. It's like they all thing they can just mash TF2's casual shooter design into Counter Strike's competitive shooter design and you'll end up with a game that does both really well. In reality it just gets you a game that fails at both.
