VCS was weird. Played the PS2 version for the first time a while back and enjoyed it to an extent.Feels like half the story got completely canned, and Marintez just being thrown in at the end was kinda shitty. Vic is also weird. He's so weak for a GTA protagonist and the shaving down of the story means the things he's supposed to give a shit about ends up not really meaning anything.Some of the missions were fucking stupid though, Holy shit. I remember dropping the game on PSP with the really early on forklift mission bit some of the later ones feel a little bit too hard and clunky to work on PSP. Especially since the aiming is closer to SA but without the cycling through targets.Missions were definitely more varied than VC but it felt overall like a more "look what ww were able to achieve on the psp".Saying that, it's still a GTA and the attention to detail is incredible. VRock in this being based on one random caller in VC, lots of foreshadowing and links to the main game. It's very fanservicey in the derails. i remember plane nitro in just cause 3 was impossible to decouple from accelerate, despite every other vehicle letting you do this. Which was really a problem when nitro only recharged when you weren't holding the nitro button.
