It is a bit surreal to hear that voice not coming out of a purple haired cyclops.

Be cool if it was reversible to read YES MA'AM, for kissing up to the wife like Jefferson does to Marcy.

Reminds me how when I was a kid watching the Lion King and during Hakuna Matata Timon stops Pumba from finishing his sentence with the line "not in front of the kids" and I honestly wondered what he was actually going to say because there's no way they'd have to pussyfoot around the word "farted".

Maybe they do it differently in the states but from what I know you just neck snap the neck on a factory line.

There's a now-censored Looney Tunes cartoon about Adolf Hitler as a wolf coming after the Three Little Pigs, and they mock the one pig that joins the US army with
>YOU'RE IN THE ARMY NOW
>YOU'RE IN THE ARMY NOW
>YOU'RE DIGGING A DITCH--
>[animation and sound freezes for 2 seconds]
>YOU'RE IN THE ARMY NOW
and even as a kid I somehow got they didn't say "you son of a bitch"

Nope. If anything, I think you'd have been called gay for wanting a Charizard over a Blaziken in 2003.

What sets a developer above the usual, beyond the rest, is a respect for the product that demands every aspect of its presentation and delivery be at its peak.

Using the game mechanics as they are made and intended to be used is not abuse.
If you plan on playing any more of stealth games with that "muh realism" attitude, you are going to be severely disappointed.
>>
>>12251571
Having rules and mechanics that are clearly defined and consistent is more important than being realistic.
>>
>>12251169
It's actually more used by intellectually shy people. They are afraid to expose themselves sincerely and so hide behind a veil of affected disinterest and street colloquialisms.
This mindset is old now and the true reason for the rise of irony: it's an emotional shield in a milieu that condemns passion and effort.

Do you think they were planning on making more numbered stages in world 8 of SMB3? There are only two but they seem to be based on the first two worlds, so I've always wondered if they were gonna make say 5 more based on the rest of the worlds but decided against it for some reason. Would have been cool to play dark versions of a water stage, giant stage, sky stage, ice stage, and pipe stage.

Yeah but it's more interesting to point it out and exaggerate it if it's Miyamoto games. Even better if it's accompanied by a fake Miyamoto quote
>>
>Super Mario Bros. 3 was too ambitious. I told them I would need 6 years to complete the project. They said I had 2 weeks before the yakuza showed up and started cutting off fingers if we couldn't repay our debts. As a game developer, my fingers are very important to me, so I did my best.

Is it true that to actually enjoy the Super Mario 64 controls, you NEED to use the original Nintendo 64 gamepad?

Or can you have the same level of precision with third-party controllers?

Have you ever tried it with an arcade stick? I could see it almost feeling like IIDX minus the scratch, now I kinda want to try it out. Could be kinda neat on something like a hitbox if it works well.
>>
>>12252627
if you want octagonal gated sticks wii nunchuk or classic controller would be another option. I never really had issues playing 64 with an xbox controller but I really felt the difference in sunshine

its cope from tendies trying to force the Nintendo Magic meme. any controller with a stick you like for other games will work. that being said the original controller does feel great for this game despite it being kinda retarded for general gaming use. honestly it felt like the n64 as a whole was designed around this game alone

Which retro Tekken is actually the best. Early ones feel too jank and then there's 3 which feels like the best overall package but Tag has the best roster. Tekkens a weird one because unlike other fighters it seems to just build upon itself rather than reinventing the wheel every so often, making it seem like the only best option is to play the newest one

I feel the opposite, fighting games are my number one single player genre. Yeah it's better on multiplayer of course, but I still get more stimulation from cheesing AI and practicing combos than I do most games when I just have an hour to kill or whatever. I usually only sit down with a single player game with full intent to beat it and when I have multiple hours to kill and isolate myself, other than games like Mega Man which are super short I just don't have the time most days
>>
its between 3 and tag and i really cant choose. i have fonder memories of playing tag i guess

Also worth playing is Gekisha Boy! That's one of the funniest and quirky games on the system. Folks always have a laugh seeing it.

Playing Gran Turismo 3 after this makes it feel like a glorified Need For Speed

GT is a glorified NFS. the driving simulator tagline refers to the career mode and buying/selling cars, it's still an arcadey physics model

Here we post stupid game mechanics.

I'll start, natures and EVs introduced in Pokemon gen 3
>natures
>oh you catched a new pokemon? Well there is a 2/25 is useful, a 21/25 is neutral and a 4/25 chance is fucking shit.
>EVs
>oh you used your physical attacker to beat that special attacker? Now he is gonna be weaker on the long run, you should have defeated 50 poochyenas before starting your adventure.

I remember going on a date with a girl and she brought up Pokemon, I said I liked the games too and then she went off about EVs and IVs and breeding and holy fucking shit, the autism. It was too much for me.
>>
>>12256586
Dumbass missed a perfect wife
>>
Game Freak makes retarded mechanics like this and keeps asking why people grind and breed for viable Pokemon.
