I'm doing some research on Buddhist concepts, and this one seems very straight-forward, but means different things to different people. As far as I can tell, it essentially means the mundane "wandering" and suffering endured on Earth, that one must overcome in order to achieve Moksha (or Nirvana). As a Christian, I have not done a deep dive into the nitty-gritty of Eastern Philosophy, so I'd appreciate of someone could enlighten (heh) me a bit on this particular concept.

To put it shortly I became really pessimistic a few years ago to the point where it literally caused abnormal bad experiences including a problem I now have that is objectively guaranteed to last for the rest of my life unless I got extremely lucky, and only POSSIBLY if I became wealthy.I also had a dream where a voice told me "some people choose to be tortured in this life so that they have an advantage in the afterlife."I don't know what else to say.
