Scooby Doo is a long franchise created by Hanna-Barbera in the 1960's, and it’s wild to think how many different forms it’s taken over the decades. From the original Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! with its classic monster-of-the-week formula, to the more comedic takes like A Pup Named Scooby-Doo, and even the darker, more serialized Mystery Incorporated, the gang has been reimagined countless times. We’ve had direct-to-video movies like Zombie Island and Witch’s Ghost that pushed the franchise into more supernatural territory, live-action adaptations in the early 2000s, and even crossover specials with Batman, WWE, and more. Each era has its own flavor, whether it’s campy, spooky, or tongue-in-cheek.So, /co/, what’s your favorite Scooby-Doo Character and which guest character suited the gang best?Previous Thread: >>151937486Scooby-Dooby-Doo!

The author has no self-control when it comes to handling the cast. She refuses to kill off supporting characters who have outlived their narrative function(despite this supposedly being a high-mortality grimdark setting) and keeps compulsively adding new characters, each more powerful and special than the last, even though most of them have nothing to do but hang around taking up space. It's unfortunate because I actually like Maika's character arc, it would be a good personal growth story if everything around it was handled better.
These are uncertain times for the United Kingdom. With so much strife caused by economic downturn, mass migration, class stratification, and people being annoying on twitter, youths are being exposed to extremist ideologies constantly. How do we keep them on the straight and narrow and show them the dangers of radicalization? With a choose-your-own-adventure game of course!
>>152118635I hope not. I made this thread and never expected it to hit bump limit. If all anyone can come up with is ai goonerslop then we've definitely squeezed enough blood from this stone.

>>152120600>I'm absolutely sick of the Mando era building up to nothingIt's not though? We've known since they started making other shows after season 1 that they're building to a big crossover movie that Dave is going to direct. With Ahsoka s1 we more or less know it's building to an open conflict with Thrawn. So whenever this movie comes, it's gonna be Djarin, Grogu, Ahsoka, Sabine, Hera, Zeb, Ezra and probably some of the Skeleton Crew kids, Carson Teeva, Sigorney Weaver and probably some OT characters going up against Thrawn.
>>152120689>It's not though? We've known since they started making other shows after season 1 that they're building to a big crossover movie that Dave is going to direct. You're not thinking far enough ahead. And in any case, nobody's interested in Dave's crossover movie. We've seen in two different shows how this man wastes Thrawn and he can't even draw a crowd for the movie coming this year. Him doing a cringevengers version of heir to the empire isn't worth squat.
>>152120689A skirmish with thrawn is not enough to be building up to desu. Multiple tv seasons and films just to have some big standoff with a character we've seen defeated multiple times is not that interesting. They either need to raise the stakes a bit or pivot to a different era

Why have we never gotten a Morty and Beth episode?
>>152119015>Space BethAnon, space beth is the most generic non-entity loser middle aged college dyke power fantasy and everyone knows it. Her going off to fuck herself LITTERALLY put the nail in the coffin for the character. Every Beth ep has been a bitch loser bitch therapy session or terrible and when they had an out with space beth by killing her in a really interesting water cooler moment...they back tracked. Because the loser cunt karens in the office wanted their tough manly space dyke version to shit up the series even more. They still don't know what to do with her and anythign the try is seen as fairly tryhard. Beth and Morty won't happen becaue Morty is the audience stand in and the dislike for Beth will bleed through on the screen and if not done correctly will diminish Morty even more. >>152119071This.

Batman is meant to be a gritty noir detective and a dark, shadowy creature of the night, instilling fear into superstitious and cowardly criminals. NOTHING ABOUT HIM IS SUPPOSED TO BE "FUN", BOOMTARDS. You want "Fun Batman"? That's what Green Arrow is for.
Batman from Batmans POV should be fun.Batman from the outside POV should be pure horror.
>>152104280That's what Wesley Dodds was for.
>>152120982They never use him or Vic Sage anymore, it's those two and Batman that are supposed to be the noir staples and none of them are being used for noir ends right now
>>152120988Sandman Mystery Theatre quite frankly humiliated Wesley and turned him from a tall handsome chad like Batman to a fat balding jew manlet who trips over his own feet.

>>152116927I've always liked the idea of a guy in hell who can regenerate like Wolverine and feels pain. This willpower to endure the pain without reaction being the only force that drives demons away. His apathy being a source of boredom for them as the guy preaches good morals and values. This causes the demons to not suffer from their own pain of constantly fighting each other or killing the souls down there that are meant to be punished which is the only other way they are not shocked/damaged/burned by heavenly powers. The regenerating guy would band together some demons and they would descend lower and lower as they reach Lucifer and find a way back to purgatory by inverting themselves or their position like pulling a sock inside out and landing back to purgatory.
>>152120738Neither would I. Unfortunately, most shows seem to have shit endings, and MNIE is one of them due to NBC being faggots who canceled it. But that one would have been good, had it been allowed to happen.
>>152116927Would this show be the perfect way to make a pitch around the life of Nick Mullen being the basis for a show? Jason Lee is very similar looking imo.
>>152120728I really don’t understand why the original plot of Hazbin isn’t just a reverse version of My Name Is Earl instead of some weird soap opera musical.
>>152120936Because it's not written around arcs or themes that most stories are about but immidiate emotional self-satisfaction. Like, you know how it's a meme that white women literature is just porn without the porn?Hazbin Hotel is fujoshi porn without the porn. It's meant to give immidiate gratification of the creators own fetish. It's also why Helluva Boss became a Coffe Shop AU of itself. Things like narrative, obsticles, arcs and so on were never the point- just immidiate emotional fulfilment. The male equivilent for us is like those Greentexts of being saved by a gf or adopting a qt 3.14 daughter. It's not art, it's filling an emotional desire in you that is being lacked.
Yeah, he is awful. He is a glowie and probably a war criminal. And what he has done to many characters and is currently doing to wonder woman is horrible. But i'm still curious, has this man been able to produce at least one (1[uno]) good comic? Some say The Visions is still passable because it came first before his formula got stale, others also praise his Mister Miracle, but i disagree hard on that one. What do you anons think is his best work?
>>152115418I remember Reddit defending King, saying shit along the lines of>Jae Lee still hasn't apologized for working with ComicsGate, so I'm suspicious of him.

>>152111780FPBP
>>152113354He is literally a demoralization propaganda agent.
>>152111720It might be neat to be able to enjoy his work, but I read a few volumes of his Batman and it did nothing. I read that Superman story that gets glazed consistently, and it did nothing for me. King is on my active avoid list in terms of comics, which is a bummer; because that Human Target book looks nice but I'm not expeting King writing to be good. That Trinity one shot he did a year or two ago was fun, but it doesn't compensate for a lack of quality leading up to it. Not when there are so many other better comics vying for my attention.
