There are many reasons why, but one of the biggest is how dumb it is that Smythe sees Spider-Man taking off his mask, and Peter's solution is making a Peter mask. So Smythe sees him again, and Spider-Man is unmasked again, but actually he was using a human mask this whole time. So it wasn't his face, just mask.So that implies that Spider-Man had a human mask under his superhero mask, and another superhero mask under his human mask.

Doctor Everything, who is Marvel's Doctor Manthattan parody who debuted as a throwaway villain in a support group trying to get revenge on Mac Gargan Venom during Dark Avengers. Out of all those characters only The Hippo stuck around for some reason which is a shame. You could do a lot of funny things with a Manthattan-like character.
