What is better: a 14" or a 16" MacBook Pro? I can't decide. It's unironically too difficult to decide. On one hand, I would prefer the larger display, on the other hand I use my laptop exclusively when I can't use my PC to do something, which means I need a laptop for use around the house and carry it outside first and foremost. I absolutely do not want to use an external monitor almost ever though.

Are there any open source streaming OS? Can I buy a roku, rip it apart, and install my own shit? Or do I get a raspberry pi for this usecase?
Rokus are locked down as hell and they have ads built in, you can't root any of them except for ones on older firmware. Just get a fire stick or plug in a spare PC
>>107857471>adsWeird, I have a 4k roku tv and I have never seen any ad
>>107857471>just get a streaming stick branded by an online marketplace that's also subsidized by serving you adswhat
>>107857636Fire sticks are just android so you can root them easily, on a Roku even if you root it then you can't really do anything since the firmware is totally proprietary
>>107857433LinuxThe only question is how to get a normal remote hooked up to it. The rest is just which software you use to mimic what you want on linux
so after almost half a decade of generative AI. investing billions in it. we got:- expensive hardware- content farms getting the steam engine and automating slop videos on youtube and social media- soulless "art" that no one cares about- boomercide of fake AI content on facebook- more bot farms on twitter- codemonkey peasants getting the tractor so they can produce even worse code.- scam AI startups that rugpull and shut down after 2 monthsnot a single penny of profit generatednot a single usecase
>>107858843Usecase for working out more than 2-3 times a week?

MX Blaecks
>>107857951Nothing MX is going to perfectly replicate buckling springs; I think MX blues come somewhat close but they're noisy. There are "silenced" clickies like Gateron Lanes and Kailh Box Mute Jades, but these are still as loud as a normal switch, too loud for most offices. Some keyboards might be quiet enough that these would be ok. My Brutal V2 1800 is many dbs quieter than my top mount Typface Monospace, both foamless with mx browns. And some people have tried drilling holes in the bottom of switches to replicate the silencing technique of the Haimu heartbeat. So here's my idea:You get Gateron Lanes. You drill two small holes in the bottom of each switch to reduce the bottom-out loudness. You get a very quiet board like e.g. the Flatbrains Plaket XL, and build it with these sort of silenced clickies.
>>107857857they're accessible via the fn ke-wait, what the hell

Hi /g/ I'm looking to rip my saved songs and playlists from Spotify. I've had a premium acct for a couple of years now but I'd like to download them for personal use so I don't need the acct anymore. Yet, for all my searching I just keep finding sketchy third party applications, usually ones that require a premium acct themselves.Do y'all have any suggestions on how I can download music (that I've paid for with my years of Premium) so I can listen to them whenever I want without the Spotify app? If nothing else I could cross reference them on Youtube and use a shitty youtube to mp3 website, but I'd like something a bit less involved if such a thing exists.
>>107858107NewPipe on your phone. You can download straight from that to your phone. On pc you can use 4K Video Downloader (the program) to paste links and download them.
>>107858177Nice dubsSo it's likely I'll have to go the Youtube route huh? Well it'll keep me busy at least
Deemix will parse Spotify playlists and download matches from Deezer's catalog. Without a premium Deezer account, you'll be limited to 128kbps quality. In the past I just got a 1 month free trial. You'll need to provide a credit card tho.
>>107858590Nice, thanks for the recommendation Anon. You're swell!
