MX Master is a good mouse for about 2 years. After that the buttons will start fucking up. I replaced my buttons with silent switches, I believe Kailh but I'm not sure. But a few months after that the rubber coating is starting to degrade. It's not that terrible but I think I have another 6-12 months left until I have to replace the entire mouse.

You autists seriously fucking overstimate how much we matter by several million orders of magnitude - we're literally a drain to them, we don't matter in the slightest.
They have zero issues with killing things off, zero issues at all. They will keep doing it because nobody will rise up and fork Chromium away from them and take back the web.

So best suck it up and install Tampermonkey.

>>

Does L14 Gen 2 has Hinge Problem™?
>>
>>106508025
All of them have the "hinge problem", as does every other manufacturer. Laptops are so goddamn thin and minorities and children are so abusive with them that it creates the perfect storm of retardation where repeated one-handed-from-a-corner opening of the screen eventually stresses it enough that it rips the fragile, shallow mounts out of the lid or chassis.

The most egregious ones (and part of the class action lawsuit) were consumer-grade Ideapad/Yogas though.

L series are "fine" but you do have to be somewhat more careful with them as they don't have a metal chassis...and even if it did like some others, you still shouldn't abuse it or it WILL break.

vim is great for small file edits or modifying files over ssh. it is deprecated by emacs + evil + emacsclient for everything else. modal editing is superior so you do not have to use modifiers for commands, but the terminal restriction is not. neovagine is also < vim because it has two interpreters, and one of them is lua. people who swear by terminal text editors are likely mentally ill. maybe add a vim extension to whatever ide or editor u are currently using and see if you like it.

I am sitting in front of 3 monitors, my tablet and my phone and there is something on all these screens and my vertical monitor has about 200 tabs open on it.

How can I fix my concentration because I don't think this is working out for me. I was even thinking of buying another monitor until I stopped and made this thread instead. But I still want that monitor and the tab is still open for it.

I tried going back to one screen and took everything out but I put it all back after only 1 day.

Use two monitors. One large high-quality primary monitor, and one small basic secondary.
Sell your third monitor, don't just put it away.
Install a tab limit extension like this https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/addon/rudolf-fernandes/
Keep your tablet in a different room.
Make sure you're spending enough time outside each day.

Is starlink mobile worth it? Internet service is often unvailable in my city. Also in the road out of my city. And I need to work and communicate with my relatives. Is it always up?

Lol This is true

My one time using starlink was during a 7-hour international flight, and my impression was extremely positive. Every other satellite internet I had experienced up until then had huge latency and low bandwidth. This felt like a standard home internet line
>>
>>106508349
>Is it always up?
No, nothing is. Last outage was last month

>>
>>106508349
Sure. I use starlink works pretty well but not the mobile. During the day I usually get 250mbps and at night right now around 300-400mbps+. I've seen it reach up to 600mbps during non peak hours like 10pm to midnight. IDK how much the mobile costs I pay $120

You could probably use calyx 5G hotspot for $40 a month and I used that before when traveling, but its only 30-40mbps rural and 150mbps+ in the city but they never throttle you and don't give a shit about torrenting so thats nice I guess. Check a map to see if you got coverage.

My parents pay $80 a month in the midwest for their weimerican internet and they get to have fiber 400mbps in my hometown of 15k people so fiber has advanced in the midwest.

American internet is notoriously expensive especially in REALLY rural dirt road type farm places or unincorporated land. On the east coast and west coast, especially in mountainous regions. If you live offgrid or are going in the mountains of utah, idaho or 30 miles down some random highway etc forget it, just get starlink.

bought this 8 drive JBOD enclosure to replace shitty ass proprietary Synology DS 220+ (4TB RAID 1). I want to start with 4 larger drives in RAID6 on my new array but the NAS drive prices and making me hesitate. 4 16TB Ironwolf drives at $300 would be $1200... considering the enclosure ($450) plus some mini PC to to handle software RAID ($150), thats around $1800. is that a reasonable amount to pay for a setup w 32TB of RAID6 storage? anybody else have a similar setup?
