Was it the biggest mistake of nvidia?
Nobody bought new cards for many years, and some still use it even now.

I had and still have a 1070ti on my gaming pc. I did buy a 4060 16gb but only because I wanted to do AI stuff. If it were just for gaming, 1070ti still ran literally every game just fine in 1080p. Only had to tweak settings on a few titles

Zoom zoom broccoli heads are too young to know Nvidia's only real fuck up.

After this, was the one and only time ATI/AMD had the marketshare over Nvidia because people were so fucked off about the FX series. The one time they slipped.

>your taste in music is probably ass
I only listen to real music like videogame osts
>>
I think I've reached my endgame. I had the 650s for a decade or so, and decided to upgrade to focal clear mgs + a proper amp (caiyin iha-8).
After the switch, I couldn't listen to the sennheisers at all anymore, they sounded like literal garbage. So I went to the hifi store and tried the focal utopias, thinking I'd end up hating my current pair too. But desu no, the utopias don't justify the price jump at all to me.
More than that, I've gone to classical concerts and listened to a rendition on my headphones just before to see how "real" they get, and it's very much close enough for me. Maybe my ears are too shit to distinguish high end from ultra high end but I'm just super super happy with my set up now
>>
>>107667703
>Yeah amping is weird with them apparently they only really want voltage instead of current so the amp spec they care about is Vrms.
Nah, they're just ridiculously insensitive. 70 dB/Vrms is 25 dB less than Susvara, meaning you need 18x the voltage for the same volume, that's insane. The ~100 Vrms recommended by Oratory for loud listening to high dynamic range music would equate to a speaker amp with 2.3 kW @ 4 Ohm (or 1.1 kW @ 8 Ohm) output.
>>
>>107668335
Your ears aren't shit. Hifi is just a meme with diminishing returns and the hobby is full of goofyass boomers and redditor fat fucks shilling for snake oil. They either do it to create false superiority or because they're literally too low IQ to understand that differen't isn't always better. A lot of these people don't understand the concept of fun either. An objectively inferior setup can absolutely sound superior. Just because some fat fuck spent more money or did something to produce a different sound, doesn't mean that shit would be better. A lot of these people live on placebo. Never disrespect your ears like that. You don't need to subscribe to ideas created by people that are literally obese.

You spent 6 months making that hash table. CS50 students build them the 2nd or 3rd week after beginning to program. It's not a flex, anyone and everyone who has ever programmed can build a hash table. Also the tradeoffs in hash table speeds are well known. There are a variety of good reason Google/Go, Rust etc use slower hash table implementations - mainly you don't want your hash table to be easily fucked by denial of service attacks (something I guarantee you don't care about because if you did you would quickly start tanking performance and at best end, up no better than what's in the stdlibs of Go/Rust). Also building a programming language is a common first real project people take up - it's not hard. Lexer -> Parser -> AST -> Eval/Garbage collection, anyone can follow alone with crafting interpreters and go from 0 to being able to build their own DLS's within a week or 2 of study, again they are not hard. Your attempted 'flexing' outs you as a novice trying hard to look better than what you are and given the naming conventions you are showing off in those screen shots you are 100% an Indian.

Lisps fail because they are dogshit slow but unlike Python, they don't have infinite libraries that can offload the work to C when you need performance. You are limited to what you can do with the language because sooner or later you will run into a situation where it is not viable do X task because the language is unable to execute in a timely fashion. If your idea of programming is spending 6 months copying an inferior hash table implementation or todo app #912912988899988 im sure lisps will serve you just fine but as soon as you want to do something cool, even for a novice like building a simple ray tracer, it will fail you completely and you will have wasted hundreds of hours on something that isn't fit for purpose.
>>
>>107668426
1. I built the hash table over the course of 3 days
2. I'm using Rust's `DefaultHasher`, which is DOS-resistant
3. my programming language demonstrates novel behavior (replaying of side effects, see temporal.io for an alternative solution)
4. SBCL can call C. ECL can call C. Clojure can call C via JNI
5. I'm white (see pic related)

my employer pays for my "education" but it still feels like a waste of time. academia needs to be totally obliterated. everyone should go to work or pursue random projects and learn as they go using AI chatbots. the school model is completely dead and utterly outdated. end colleges and universities. they should all cease to exist
