Beginning of the year i bought some stuff, not knowing much about anything. I got a i7-14700k as it seemed to me it was pretty much amongst the fastest there was. I then got 192GB of DDR5 (4x 48GB 5200MHz, runs at 4800MHz with 4 and 5200MHz with two sockets) because i thought i can run large LLMs with it. My GPU was a 4090 that i sold as soon as the 5090 was available.The RAM isn't fast enough for large LLMs, i get 4 t/s or so. Smaller models run fast enough, particularly the ones i can run in the GPU are really fast.Is there any other CPU for the LGA1700 socket that maybe has 4 memory channels, so i can get more throughput? I feel i wasted a lot of money by not buying the right hardware.

I'm still wondering what a bubble pop will look like, because it's obvious AI isn't going way, but several players will probably be taken off the board at least. Datacenters probably won't go away unless it's economically unfeasible to run them, some existing ones might get mothballed but kept around incase they need additional capacity. We'll just get back to the current situation except it's more of a slow boil than a flash fry this time.

I could forgive a 32" panel, which is almost 60 PPD at 60cm (still slightly high), but 27" is right out.
