I use QubesOS with detached boot partition on 2 duplicated USB drives with any data that rests on the SSD/HDDs being encrypted with LUKS2. Whonix gateway is proxied through a VPN qube to hide Tor IPs (can't hide communication patterns) without bridges since bridge IPs can be farmed. Sometimes Tor through I2P outproxy or vice-versa or with different anonymizing network overlays. Clients used for browsing are only opened in on-RAM ephemeral qubes with no access to permanent storage. Attack surface is quite minimum since no extra things added like USB mouse and no PV qubes (aside from sys-usb and sys-net) are used for launching HVM qubes with qemu stub domains unless very necessary and every other qube on the system gets shut down first to keep information leakage minimum. A veracrypt volume with hidden storage on a permanent qube for data storage and plausible deniability.what's your setup like?
>>107632384I know better than to trust a project where the lead maintainer makes excuses for systemd and tells me to run his shitty software on a arch with known backdoors embedded into it by the NSA. Macs have the best laptop hardware bundled with trash software. FIXED.
>soldered on everything >shit screens >annoyingly low travel keyboards Don't get me wrong I'm excited for native Linux support on Apple's ARM laptops, but I wouldn't call them the best hardware. Their strength is that they're at least good in every aspect, not great, but not terrible either. With FEX they'll even be half decent for gaming in the future.

>>107628846For the sake of argument, it has one. Rec.2020 color gamut, 10,000 nits peak brightness.Where it all goes to shit is that neither the color gamut nor peak brightness of the display are required to reach the standard of the format, and even "very good" displays like mastering monitors only hit a fraction of those values. So displays will tonemap out-of-gamut content. HOW it does this has no standard and is different between display manufacturers, so any HDR content that exceeds your display's capabilities will be a crapshoot as to whether or not it actually looks good. This problem isn't too bad on video games which have their own tone mapping algorithms that can accommodate for your display parameters while still adhering to the tone and vision of the artist, but movies and images don't have that luxury.
>>107631417That's why HDR has a bad rep in general.
>>107631423Exactly. Double tone mapping in particular is a problem I've had to deal with a lot ever since Plasma introduced calibration, especially when running HDR games or applications with their own internal tone mapping.HDR is truly gorgeous when the stars align and everything works, and luckily for me, it mostly does, but it can be jarring to most normal people if they had previously only ever had to deal with weird color balances and gamma settings.

What's the best PC controller on the market right now? My wired Xbox controller from 2015 works fine but I wanna go wireless
>>107617566It was made for Gabe sized hands. I couldn't use it as well.
>>107630982For me it's not about the shape, but general usability. It sucked for gamepad oriented games and mouse oriented games. I hope new one will be better and if it's popular it's gonna be supported nativly by the developers. We'll see. For now xbox-like controllers are fine for me.
